Chapter 14: The Road to the Highlands
Before you know it, the winter of Beleriand is quietly coming again. At the end of the year 460, a heavy snowfall struck and a layer of white paint adorned Bereriande's huge painting, carved into the ground. In front of the gate of Minni Gos, the Esgarduin River flows very slowly. In some sections, a thin layer of ice has formed on the surface of the river.
But the cold winter did not affect Doriath's vigorous vitality in the slightest. The trees still stretched out their lush foliage, blocking out the snowflakes falling from the sky. Under the big trees, clumps of white flowers bloom. The bright green grass is dotted with colorful petals, and it looks very comfortable to lie on it.
Sometimes a few snowflakes leak out of the sky and turn into water droplets before they hit the ground. This is Doriath, the spring of the season, the result of the powerful life magic of Meriana.
At the entrance of Minni Koz is a birch bridge that spans the Esgarduin River. The gate is a gray stone gate carved with the coat of arms of Singh and beautiful ornaments. The gate is open to the forest during the day, and from time to time Sinda elves enter and exit. But the gate will be closed at night. If you're unfortunate enough to make it back before closing, that's okay, because there are many stone platforms in the forest built on top of these tall trees. The platforms didn't look mechanical, as the branches of the trees looked impossible to withstand them. This makes them appear to be floating in the air. There are many ropes that allow others to climb up.
On the other side of the bridge at the entrance of Minni Guosi is the Forest of Nildoris, and on this bank is the Forest of Rigian. There are many bridges over the Esgarduin River that separates them, and there are many places where the water is shallow enough to be crossed.
At this time, two elves, a man and a woman, were coming out of the gate of Mingni Guosi. They looked around, as if they were afraid to be seen by others. The man's elf looked handsome, and his deep pupils were filled with poetry. He was a scholar of Doriath, the "Bard" Daeron.
The elf girl has an extraordinary temperament and outstanding beauty. It also looks a little playful. She didn't wear shoes, and her white feet stepped directly on the ground. She is the daughter of Singh and the most beautiful Lucien of the elves.
"Princess, why do you come out with me every time I go out into the forest in search of inspiration?" asked Dai Long in a soft, gentle voice.
Lucien just stuck out her tongue and smiled, then hooked Daeron on the arm as if she were coquettish to an older brother. "Because you are the only one in the kingdom who will take me out!" she pouted, "how beautiful it is in the woodland, but my father wants me to stay in Minni Country all day." ”
Because of Lucien's actions, Daeron's heart pounded. Actually, Daeron has always had a crush on Lucian, but Lucian doesn't know it. He didn't dare tell her, because Lucien's beauty was unworthy of any man, even among the elves. And all this time, Lucien has not accepted any marriage proposal from a nobleman.
"You must understand that His Majesty Singar, there was a war in the north just a few years ago, and he was also afraid that you would run outside the borders of the kingdom. "And there is news that three years ago Sauron's army had taken the West Ryan Valley, and two years earlier it had moved south to attack the Brehill Forest." Now that the situation is turbulent, he is naturally more worried about you than before. ”
Lucien listened to him with an impatient expression. She shook off his hand and ran to the other side of the bridge. Dai Long immediately chased after him: "Don't run too fast, Lucien!"
The princess slowed down and jumped up and down in front of her. Dai Long quietly followed behind him, and found that the princess was not wearing shoes. Dai Long actually knew that the princess had always liked to walk barefoot. "Princess, why are you always barefoot, and don't you feel pain in your feet when you walk in the woods?"
Seeing the princess stop, Dai Long turned around and made a stop gesture: "This is my secret, you are not allowed to ask!" She found herself in a relatively open area. All around are low trees, such as elms and beech. Lucien's soles felt the slightest chill on the grass, the damp morning dew. Under the trees grow dense grasses with white flowers.
The princess spread her arms and took a deep breath. "Daeron, it's so beautiful here!" she ran up to Daeron and looked at him with her watery eyes, "You take out the flute and play a tune, I want to dance here!" Seeing her run back to the clearing, Daeron took out a wooden flute from his waist. He held the flute horizontally in front of him and played one of Lucian's favorite tunes.
To the sound of his music, Lucien danced. The hem of her dress swirled like a flower blooming in the woods. In Dai Long's music, it was as if a light rain in early spring could be heard, and the flowers seemed to be born by this rain that moistened all things. Looking at Lucien's dancing posture, Daeron was intoxicated. He imagined in his mind the company of Lucian. It was a prayer without distractions, and Daeron only wanted to be married to her, but he never wanted to do anything with her. In his heart, Lucien was the purest thing in the world, and even the slightest thought of that was filthy and sinful.
Daeron drifted away, and it took him a wrong note to bring his thoughts back to reality. As a singer, he is too sensitive to scale. He could hear the slightest deviation from any note. Only then did he realize that Lucien had also stopped dancing and was sitting on the ground panting. "Princess, it's cold on the ground!" but at his beckon, the princess lay down instead. She tucked her long jet-black hair under her and closed her eyes.
"I'll sleep for a while, you don't want to disturb me!"
Dai Long sighed. But he was used to the princess's temperament. He can endure all this, after all, it is the girl he loves. He watched as the princess's breathing slowed, and a sense of tiredness welled up in his mind. He sat down at the root of an elm tree, lay down and slept. It was still morning, and he wasn't worried at all about them being locked up outside Minni Nation.
When Dahlon woke up, he felt like it had darkened around him. When he saw that the princess was still asleep, he tried to wake her up. He walked over to her and crouched down. The princess's pink lips moved a few times, and she murmured some incomprehensible dreams. Seeing her moist lips, Dai Long's mind became confused. How he wanted to kiss him right now. He bent down and moved closer to Lucian's face. He could hear her breathing, her breath blowing across his face. He smelled the scent from her.
At this moment there was a long horn sound in the woods. Dai Long was startled and immediately straightened up. He immediately understood what the sound of the trumpet meant. That was the announcement that Minni Goth was about to close its doors. He immediately woke up Lucien. "Let's go! it's closing!"
Lucien immediately got up, the glow leaking through the cracks in the trees reflected Lucian's hazy sleeping face. Daeron immediately took Lucien's hand and ran back with her.

Outside of Doriath, which is like spring all year round, the traces of winter are very obvious. The Dosonian Highlands are covered with a layer of snow as early as the beginning of winter. Belém walked in the northwestern part of Dosonian, leaving new footprints in the snow. There were already large stray footprints left on the snow. But the wind and snow have diluted all the footprints left by these earlier footprints.
Before leaving Tarn Eluin, he buried all the bodies of his people. After that, he took with him the food that his people had hoarded. There is only fruit left in the cave, and it looks like Oak has taken all the meat with him, and they have little interest in the fruit. He didn't know where the horses of the other tribesmen had gone, and they were probably eaten by Okdang's food, but the horse he was riding was scared away. He brought out a bearskin garment made by his people. He was now wearing the bearskin garment, but it was blown and danced in the cold snow, and Belen shivered with the cold. He put the hood over his head, but it didn't really work. He held his hand in front of him to prevent the falling snowflakes from obscuring his vision. His stomach was so hungry and thirsty that he stopped, took an apple from the bag he was carrying behind his back, and nibbled on it. The icy juice froze his tongue and esophagus, but he knew he had to fill his stomach.
He is now tracking down the Orcs who killed his father and others. He knew that the assassination team that couldn't even defeat the twelve people together, and he would definitely die if he went. But he has long put life and death out of the way. He only wants to do one last thing now, and that is to avenge his dead father. He was going to fight the Orcs to the death, and as long as he could kill as many Orcs as he could, he would be content to die.
During this time, he had never eaten meat. It's not that he doesn't know how to hunt, but on the shores of Lake Eluin, when he tried to drown himself, a deer saved him. Since then, he has been convinced in his heart that even these forest beasts have emotions, and they can feel pain just as much as humans.
He'd been tracking the group of Orcs for more than a month. To his disappointment, the Orcs never left the Dosonian Heights, but they continued to wander the land of Taur-Nu-Floo. And they marched so fast that Belém didn't even see them all the time, but just followed their footsteps.
However, the footprints on the ground here still look very new, not like they have been a long time ago. His instincts told him that he was close to the Orcs. In fact, he found that the group of Orcs was leaving Dosonian westward after the onset of winter. This was not only the group of Orcs, because in the process of tracking, he had never encountered other Orcs. This indicates that the Oks stationed in the Taur-Nu-Floating Yin withered forest have begun to evacuate. Presumably, the members of these assassination teams are also evacuating.
At night, he finally saw the light and sound coming from ahead. When he climbed up a hill and looked out, he saw a stream flowing from the mountain, where the Orcs were resting. Here he had some impressions that he had been here with his father during the Battle of the Sudden Fire. This is the source of the Revel Spring. Walk further northwest along the creek and leave Dosonian and enter the Serech Marshes. It is there that the creek joins the West Ryan River. There their people rescued a Noldor elven king, Finrod.
He fell to the ground and crept down the knoll. Crawling through the snow makes him very inconspicuous. The sound of his body rubbing against the snow was drowned out by the noise in the Oak camp. When he reached the bottom of the knoll, he saw a few Orcs talking loudly near the campfire. One of them was standing on a wooden barrel with something in his hands.
That's an arm!
When Belen looked closely, he saw that the arm was so rotten that he could smell rotting corpses even outside the camp. But Belen thought it might have been the kind of stench that came from Oak. The fingers of that hand were stiff, so black that it was impossible to even tell what kind of arm it was. The blood on the incision has dried.
But that item gave Belém a definite answer. It was his father's arm. He heard the Oak speak, "Sauron ordered us to evacuate Taur-Nu-Floating Yin. This time I'm going to Minas Tirith, and I'm going to take this arm to claim a reward with Sauron!" He shook it proudly, "I killed Barahir, the human who was put on a bounty!"
Hearing this, Belen's heart could no longer be calm. This is the same monster who killed his own father, and is still proud to show off to more monsters! The arrow pierced the Oak's head, and before the Oak could react, he died. He rolled his eyes and fell to the ground with a twitch.
The other Orcs immediately began to roar. They drew their weapons, and the sound of spears and swords rang out at the same time. They walked in the direction of Belém, trying to find him in the night. Belén knew she couldn't hide. He drew his sword and jumped to his feet, and lunged at Oak by surprise. Before the Orcs could respond, he had already stabbed one of them in the chest with his sword.
He drew his sword and kicked down the Oak he had killed, taking a few steps back to avoid being surrounded by the Oak. An Orc slashed at him with a knife, and he dodged the attack by rolling to the side, then approached the corpse of the Oak who had killed his father, trying to retrieve his father's arm. It took him a great deal of effort to break Oak's stiff fingers, his hand clenched tightly from the spasm before he died.
Belen sensed Oak approaching. He turned and caught Oak's knife with his sword. Another Oak stabbed him with a spear, and he sideways avoided it, then guided the spear's spike into the knife-wielding Oak. Naok vomited blood and fell to the ground. He then leaned back against a dead tree, lest he be outflanked by the other Orcs. He flicked his sword at the Orcs. Oak tentatively shifted his legs a few times, looking for the right moment to attack, but with each step, he was stopped by Belen's swing of the sword.
At this time, the archers behind the Orcs began to shoot arrows at Belen. Most of the attacks missed, with two swords striking Belen in the left shoulder and right leg. Belen was forced to his knees by the pain, knowing that he was going to die here. He lay on the ground and saw Oak approaching. But then there was a cries of oaks in his throat, and a low growl.
He wasn't dead, so he quickly looked up to see what was happening. He saw two bears fighting with the Orcs. The Orcs stabbed the bears with their swords and shot them with their bows and arrows. One of the bears screamed after being injured and angrily pounced on one of the occos, biting his throat. Then raise your forefoot and knock an Orc into the air. But as it lifted its forepaw, another Orc's knife stabbed into its soft belly. It then fell to the ground and did not move.
The other bear has now killed a few Orcs as well. It wields a bear's paw to drive away the Orc, but the Orc's spearman pierces its forefoot with a spear. It immediately turned around and tried to escape. It was then that Belén saw a deer beside him, and it jumped in front of Belém, its limbs bent as if on its knees. Belen seemed to understand and rode on the back of the deer. The deer immediately picked up Belen's heavy body and ran with the bear. Oak chased after them, but couldn't. The Orc archers shoot several arrows. The bear was hit by a few more arrows in the back, and finally rolled forward a few times without moving.
The deer was running ahead, and suddenly looked back at the dead bear, and Belen felt a glint in its eye sockets. After looking at it for a while, the deer looked ahead again. It picked up speed, rushed to the top of the hillock, and then leaped down and landed lightly. Amazingly, Belén didn't feel a single shock. Gradually, Belém ran away. He looked at the deer he was riding, and it was the most wonderful thing he had ever seen.
—————————————————————————————————
Belen didn't know how long he had been running on the back of a deer. The wind and snow have stopped, and the winter sun seems warm. He could only roughly distinguish north and south based on the topography of the highlands, and then guessed that it was noon on the day based on the position of the sun. The wounds on his body are now paralyzed. He smelled the rancid stench coming from the shoulder where he had been shot by an arrow. He used his sword to cut off the arrows stuck in his body.
He felt the deer leading him up the heights. It was a barren place that Oak had never visited. There was no vegetation growing there, but it was probably the safest place to be in Dosonian. Belén really felt the elevation of the terrain, for when he turned back, he could already see the entire northern part of Dosonian. This snow-covered highland is now in full view. He could clearly see that the Orcs on the high ground were all evacuating. To the east, he could see the shores of the lake of Tarn Eluin, and in the distance Ladros, and to the west, he could see the source of the nearly deadly Springs of Revel.
For the rest of the day, Belém spent the days counting on the back of the deer. He came to a high place three days later, and even felt that the clouds were pressed low. However, the Terror Mountain Eredegolos remained in front of him, obscuring his view to the south.
When he was hungry, he took an apple from his backpack and ate it. But he began to get worried. Because he knew that there was no food source in the highlands. The deer's footsteps stopped. It bent its limbs, and Belen immediately came down. He was surrounded by a lot of wild animals that had lived in Dosonian. He was amazed that these animals were able to live here. It was a flat land on barren rock, with its northern side lowered, and its southern side approaching the foot of the Terror Mountains. There are several small streams that flow down the hill through the crevices between the rocks to the northern lowlands.
There are deer, bears, goats, bison and wild boars on the flat ground, a few badgers, moles and snakes scurrying around between the cracks in the rocks, and a few swans and swimming fish in the water. In the sky flew ravens, nightingales, larks and owls. The fact that these animals coexist in harmony here makes Belen a little unaccustomed.
But he didn't think much of it. He may have to find a way to live here next. If these animals can survive between the rocks, then he should be able to too. He took off his shirt and rolled up his trouser legs. His chest muscles are very strong, but his skin is fair. He carefully pulled out the tips of the arrows from his shoulders and legs. The wound has festered and looks serious. He walked over to a stream and filled the kettle with some water to wash the wound around. The cold water made him even more paralyzed. He made a fire out of flint and steel, which he learned on his way to hunt down the Orcs. He took out a flaming stick and burned his rotting wounds with the blazing flames. He held back the pain and didn't scream.
He had scorched all the rotten flesh, and soon it was dark. He wrapped his body in a bearskin garment, but he didn't feel the warmth. He remembered his father's arm. It was the only thing he had almost killed to snatch back from Oak. He collected a few stones from all over the place and prepared to bury his father's arm. He piled up a hollow pile of stones, put his father's arm in it, and prepared to build another stone on it. It was he who saw his father's rotten finger with a beautifully made ring.
"It's ...... Finrod's ring. He said.
He took the ring off. What if he could use it in the future, he thought. Then the stone was covered.
Then the deer that had brought him came up to him. "Mortal Belen. It uttered a female voice, and Belen was speechless by the sudden start. "Don't panic, it's not a deer talking. The one who is communicating with you is Maia Meian. I'm in Dorias now, but I can communicate with you through the mouths of these creatures. ”
Belén calmed down a bit. He had heard of Mirian from his people. She is a Maia who once owed allegiance to Virayavana. But she fell in love with Singh and stayed in his kingdom. She is now the queen of Doriath. At this time, Mei An's voice sounded again: "These animals are gathered here. They used to live all over Dosonian. In a time before the sun appeared and you humans were not born, I wandered in this highland, communing with nature. Now that the war is raging on Dosonian, I can't watch these creatures threatened by the flames of war. So I gathered them together. Every month, ravens from Doriath bring them Lambas, a dry food made by the Sinda. It can meet the needs of even carnivores. That way, they can live here forever. Here I will not allow them to attack each other. ”
"Why did you save me?" Belen asked the question that had been bothering him for a long time, "I'm not a wild animal, and I don't deserve to be saved by them. But they saved me from Oak anyway. The same was true earlier when I was trying to kill myself. ”
"Because of your goodness, mortal. "I'm not in Dosonian, but I've seen it all. You are different from other people, you believe that animals have feelings and treat them well. To protect them, you can give with your own life. So when you go after the Orcs, the animals follow you. If your life is threatened, they will rescue you and bring you here. Her voice was like the sound of a spring in the mountains, "This is not my command, but their own choice." But they may have made a big mistake in doing so. For Sauron thought that your people had been slaughtered. But now that Sauron knows that Balahir has a son alive, he may find a way to get you. You have to be careful. ”
Belen saw an acorn come out of the deer's mouth. "Leave this acorn behind. If one day, you have to flee Dosonian, come to Doriath. You'll need the acorn for guidance. ”
—————————————————————————————————
The days on the highlands go by quickly. In the blink of an eye, three years have passed. The winter of 463 inadvertently befell Dosonian. Mirian's foresight of Sauron's pursuit of him did not come. But Belen knew he couldn't let his guard down. It's afternoon and he's climbing a tall boulder.
His hair was now waist-high, his body was covered in dust, and his clothes were tattered. His lips were cracked, and when winter came, he was in great need of water. The streams that flow down the mountains dry up in winter. So he would stuff a lot of snow into the kettle in the early hours of the morning, and then cover it with his own hot bearskin clothes, and by noon he would have half a jug of water. But such a supply is simply not enough.
There is no shortage of food, and on this day of the month, a flock of ravens flies from the mountains to the south, and their legs are tied with ropes in green wraps, which are the lambas, which are wrapped in leaves. Belém found this dry food to be very effective in relieving hunger. Sometimes with just one bite of Lambas, he won't feel hungry all day.
Now he was waiting for the raven to arrive. He climbed to the top of the boulder and looked out over the high slopes of the Terror Mountains. Now he looks like an ape. After waiting for a while, he saw that the sky above Ered Golos was beginning to turn gloomy. As expected, the ravens gathered and flew in.
The raven flock was crushed like a dark cloud. Soon they all fell to the ground, and the rocky heights became bustling in an instant. The raven shook the knots in his legs, and the knots loosened themselves. Belen knew it was the work of the Sindar elves. It was a rope made from Heathlane, and there had been a rumor among Beleriander that it was Merian who had woven the rope with her own magic.
When the ropes were released, the ravens flew into the sky. They circled in the sky for a while, then flew away towards the south. The ground is now covered with Lambas. Belen picked up some from his feet and jumped under the boulder. He saw the animals around him gather around him, unwrapping the green leaves with their lips or tongues, and began to chew on the Lambas.
It was getting dark. Belen sat down, untied the green leaves as well, and took out the dry food inside. Lambas tastes like bread, but it's crispy and biscuit-like. Belen took a bite, then took out the kettle and took a sip of water. He felt like his hair was getting in the way. So he took out his sword and trimmed his hair. He left only shoulder-length hair, and the rest was cut off and thrown on the ground.
At this moment, the deer that had brought him here before jumped closer. It topped Belém with its head. Belém didn't understand what it meant. But he saw the deer turn its head to one side, toward the north. That's when Belen realized that something was moving quickly in the night. There was a howl of wolves in the dead woods of Tauer-Nu-Fuyin. But the wolf's howl was thicker and more terrifying. The shadows are approaching.
Belen finally saw that they were wolves. But not an ordinary wolf, because it was many times larger. Belen remembered that his people had told him that Sauron had used sorcery to transform the Oak-domesticated wolf into an evil species. The demon wolf, this huge monster, is none other than a powerful hunter under Sauron.
"They're coming for me!" Belén said.
Belén understood that the day that Mirian had prophesied had finally come. Then, according to her advice, he must now go over the other side of the mountain to Doriath. He looked up and looked silently at the towering Eredgolos. He couldn't help but smile bitterly, it was impossible to climb over.
Suddenly, the deer knelt down again, a scene so familiar. Belen shook his head: "I'm not worth it for you to do this......"
But the deer still knelt before him. It rammed Belen frantically with its horns to make him ride on. Belen saw the animals around him gather in front of him. They stood facing north, a bear roaring, and the other animals that could make a sound echoed with their own calls.
Belen then climbed onto the deer's back. In an instant, the deer had jumped on top of the boulder he had climbed up while he had been waiting for the raven. Belen was taken aback that the deer had such a jumping power. After a few more dizzy shakings, he found them standing on a small, jutting platform on the hillside. He looked down and saw the wolves rushing up to the stone heights where he had lived for three years. Those animals that had no ability to resist were instantly bitten by the throats of those demon wolves. Blood dripped from their mouths. The bears, wild boars, and snakes were entangled with the wolves.
A bear roared and pounced on a demon wolf, then tore its belly. The wolf wolf's twisted organs shook out messily. A wild boar pushed the wolf down the ground, but it fell on its own. There is also a demon wolf entangled in a python, blood spurting from its mouth and its eyeballs shoot out like arrows. But until then, it embeds its sharp teeth into the python's body.
"They're all going to die......" Belen muttered to himself.
But immediately the deer jumped higher with him. Because of the thick fog of the night, he could no longer see the situation on the platform. His spirit was tense all the time, because there was an abyss under his feet. He was afraid that if something happened to him, he and the deer would die. In the early hours of the morning, they came to the top of the mountain. As he jumped down, he noticed that the deer had also begun to pant loudly, whether it was out of fear of heights or if it was tired.
The descent was much faster, but the tremors were more intense than before. He even felt his head start to ache and his consciousness began to blur. It was about noon when he was finally able to see the foot of the mountain. But the sight evoked a sense of fear that Belen had been numb by his confusion.
At the foot of the mountain is a barren valley. At the other end of the valley was a vast forest, and although Belém could not remember the map, he could guess that it was Doriath. The valley was full of dead trees, and the branches were covered with pale cobwebs. The stream that flows down from the mountains turns black as it enters the valley. The ground of the valley was black earth, and from those black backgrounds, Belém seemed to be able to see countless pairs of eyes that glowed red. It's like some terrifying giant monster in the abyss, waiting for this mortal to fall into its mouth.
They descended into the valley, but the deer did not slow down and continued to run south. Belen's dynamic vision saw a lot of objects moving around him. There was a crackling sound from them. Belen looked closely and saw that it was a giant spider. They were chasing after them at a suffocating speed. And the number of giant spiders is growing.
"That's what it is...... Fear of Nanton Doobub. ”
Belen felt a chop in his throat, perhaps fear causing his lungs to twitch. He pounded desperately on his chest and breathed heavily. When he recovered, he saw a giant spider in front of him. The deer he was riding reacted quickly and jumped sideways to the left, avoiding the spider's swinging front legs in the next second. But the spider chased them to their side. Belen hurriedly drew his sword to prevent it from approaching.
He saw the spider turn its head sideways and open its mouth under the eight red eyes. Its mouth was covered with dense spikes, and from between those spikes a little white spider silk appeared. The silk twisted together and twisted into a web, and then shot out of its mouth so quickly that Belen immediately bent down to dodge. The web struck a dead tree, and the dead tree snapped off its roots.
They also caught up with a giant spider on their left. The giant spider spewed out a web, and the deer jumped and dodged the attack. But in the next second, the giant spider on the right attacked again, hitting the side of the deer in the air. Belen felt the support under his crotch suddenly disappear. He looked down and saw that a thrilling scene had emerged. The back half of the deer's body was broken by a spider web. So he fell down now, and the cobwebs that had just wrapped around the back of the deer's body hit the ground, and the section of its front exposed its spine, which was emitting heat. The deer crawled on the ground for some distance, leaving a trail of blood, and then stopped moving.
And Belen quickly got up during this time and continued to run forward. He saw that they were about to reach the edge of the woodland. Green vegetation gradually begins to appear on the ground. The desire to survive made him rush hard. But his speed on foot was obviously not as fast as the giant spiders. A giant spider pounced on him, stung the stinger from its tail into Belen's leg. Belen stepped back in horror, drawing his sword and slashing at the spider. The inhabited hard carapace renders his attacks useless. More giant spiders surrounded him, surrounding him at the entrance to the woodland.
In the midst of the struggle, the acorn that Millian had given him fell to the grass. It all happened in an instant, the acorn was instantly sucked in by the dirt, and then countless thick roots grew around it, entangled the giant spiders one by one. Some of the giant spiders were dragged into the ground by the tendrils, some were squeezed and burst into black slurry, and some were torn off their legs by a few tendrils. Belen's whole body was stained with black liquid. Those black liquids gave off a pungent smell. The remaining roots formed a wall of trees around the woodland, shielding the other giant spiders from approaching.
Belém was separated from the inside by a tree wall. He knew he should go deep into the woodland. He looked into the depths of the forest, which was dark and foggy. And he still feels very confused. He didn't know where he was going. This is probably the beauty of the ann belt, he thought.
At this time, he turned his head again, because he remembered the deer that had just died, and his heart felt sad: "Are all those animals dead......?"
He saw a few more tendrils growing in the meadow, and they continued to stretch forward. Belen guessed it was showing him the way. In a daze, he followed the direction of the roots of the tree into the forest.
