The Noldor elves have always been led by Fenway's family. In the annals of history, the first great leader of this family was Fenway. Fenway's wife was Mirel, and they gave birth to Fëanor. Pregnant with Fëanor drained Mirel's mental and physical strength. No one among the elves could say why. During Fëanor's childhood, he lost his mother's company at an early age, because it was not long before his mother became emaciated and died.

Later, Fenway married a second wife, Indis, a fairy from the Vanya tribe. This allowed him to gradually come out of the grief of losing his wife. They had two sons: Finn and Finafin. Fëanor did not have a good impression of his stepmother and two younger brothers. This also led to a lot of contradictions later.

Fëanor's wife was Naidaniel, the daughter of the metalsmith Mahetan, so Fëanor learned a lot about metals and forging from Mahetan, which led to the three elven diamonds that Fianor would later make. Fëanor had seven sons: Mezlos, Maglor, Caranhill, Kellegon, Kurufin, Amras, and Amrod.

Finn's wife is Aneri, and they have two sons and a daughter, Fingon, Turgon, and Arityr.

Finafin's wife was Eyrewen, the daughter of Orway, the king of the Elves of the Tayleri tribe. Their children are Finrod, Olodris, Angrod, Agnor, and Galadriel.

Of Fëanor's children, only Kurjufin had an heir, and that was Celebrimbau.

Almost all of Finn's children had offspring: Fingon's son was Erenion, Turgon and Elanvier gave birth to Egir, and Arettir gave birth to Aeore the dark elf Aeol.

Finafin's son, Finrod, was in love with Amariyi of the Banu Vanya, but the exile of the Noldor separated them by the sea. As a result, Finrod never married, and Olodris had a daughter whose name was Finduiras.
