Section A Chapter 4: Mad Dog (Anusen)
The Sixteenth World of the World Tree.
Tomeca City, inside an alley.
In the backyard of a deep alley hut, Anusen swung his sword vigorously and stabbed at his imaginary foe.
After two quick thrusts, Anusen quickly retracted his tense arm muscles and made up for another thrust.
The illusory enemy used their shields to block the attack, creating a half-moon-shaped trajectory of the weapon.
Quickly thinking about how to dodge the attack, Anusen leaned sideways and ducked with his head back.
Relying on the interval between the enemy's swings of the sword, it was time to seize the opportunity - Anusen quickly slashed the weapon and swept the throat of the imaginary enemy.
After a long period of training, Anusen's breathing was a little disturbed, and he looked tired, and he put down his weapon and inserted his sword into the scabbard.
Just as he was thinking about how to set up an imaginary enemy in the next combat training, a voice sounded from the eaves.
"It's a great ornamental swordsmanship, but it's ineffective in a real deathmatch. I'm afraid that I won't be able to quickly win by skill in a few moves. The voice paused slightly, and then continued: "...... Anusen Reano. β
"First of all, I don't remember inviting you to the eaves of my courtyard......" Arnusen took off her gloves and looked up at the comer. The man had unkempt blonde hair and a short beard. Very thin build. He was dressed in sackcloth and had a long sword hanging from his waist. "Secondly, why do you say that my swordsmanship is inefficient?"
"I can go to whomever roof I want, it depends purely on my mood...... I'll answer this 'second' first, and as it happens, I'm also very interested in it. The man jumped from the eaves and leaned against a karian tree in the middle of the courtyard, clasping his hands around his chest: "Knight, can you repeat the last training you just did?"
"You haven't told me your name yet. Anusen stood in front of the man, staring at him.
"yes. But ......" the man thought for a moment, "I think if I give you a hint, you can guess who I am, I met your daughter a few days ago." β
"I didn't hear from Ellia. Anusen frowned: "She knows you?"
"Oh, that's not true. I just glanced behind your daughter......" The man stroked his hair, "I think I'll just say it straight, you don't look like a dumb riddle--despicable Seresa." β
"Oh, I've heard of that. Anusen drew his sword and asked in a low voice, "Governor Carreso's 'mad dog'...... What did you do with my daughter the other day?" Mad dogs are notorious, and there are endless bad comments about him in the market.
"Frankly, I don't think this much-loved title is very much in line with my temperament......" Cereya nodded leisurely on her tiptoes, "So, when we talk in private, can we not talk about that glorious title, Sir Anusen, who values honor the most?"
"I'm not a knight anymore. Anusen took the sword in one hand and drank, "And you haven't answered my question yet! What are you looking for my daughter?"
"What if I don't want to say it?" said the mad dog, reaching to his waist, as if trying to draw his sword.
I really want to do it...... In a charging stance, the knight leaped forward and stabbed the mad dog with great speed. The man was already on guard, and quickly dodged the attack, and then drew his long sword.
Without giving the enemy time to breathe, the knight quickly slashed several times, but was blocked by the opponent one by one. After a powerful and massive straight slash, the mad dog, which was poorly parried, was pushed several meters away and slammed into the trunk of the tree.
Taking advantage of the victory, Anusen grasped the hilt of his sword and charged straight towards the man. However, to his surprise, a throwing knife flew with a sound that tore through the air, violently overturning the long sword in his hand. Looking at the mad dog in front of him in disbelief with a throwing knife in hand, the knight instinctively rolled on the spot, but did not dodge the expected flying knife.
"Look at you, knight?" laughed maniacally, and the mad dog put away his knife with a smug expression and inserted it back into his sword, "Maybe we can put away our weapons and talk calmly." β
"What do you mean?" Snatching the sword back in his hand, the knight stood up in exasperation and glared at Seresa.
"Oh, I don't mean anything against you, just a wake-up call for our sir sirs. Mad Dog squinted at Anusen, "There's no need to be overly nervous when it comes to your daughter...... I didn't finish my sentence just now, and you just cut it over. How can you do that?"
"You don't give me this set!Didn't you put your hand on the hilt of your sword first?!" Annun had always disliked Governor Carreso, and there were all sorts of conflicts between the two. And since the beginning of last month, he has been trying his best to contact Ellia, but he has been blocked by Anusen one by one.
Of course, Anusen was sure that he was not so troubled because of Elia's beauty, but because he knew everything about Elia's background - if he had the power of the Angel's Son in his hand, it would undoubtedly be of great help in the struggle for power.
"Okay, okay, even if I do it firstβbut I'm not here today on the behest of Carreso. We might as well go in and talk to your daughter later. The mad dog squinted at a pair of eyes, and the focus of his eyes was clearly not on Anusen.
"I thought the dog had only one owner. With a disdainful snort, the knight stared at the mad dog warily to prevent him from pulling out his throwing knife again.
"Then apparently the mad dog is not. Ceresya sarcastically said, "Aren't you interested in those inefficient swords? If we continue to grind like this, it will be dark, and I will definitely have to rub here before I goβI like medium-rare bloody steaks, which are four centimeters thick." β
"Save your dog's teeth!" Anusen shook his weapon and stabbed three more swords with a sigh of rage. Mad Dog stared intently, and his mouth simmered: "It's exactly the same as just now, I can't see what you're dealing with with these tricks at all." β
"What do you mean?" the guy was talking to me.
"Hmm...... If I had to say it...... "Mad Dog paced a few steps in front of the tree, and seemed to think for a moment, "It's not at all like the way you should use your sword when fighting people." β
You're pretending to be like you, mad dog...... Sneering in his heart, Anusen thought disdainfully: Changing the law is tricking my words, and wants to hear me personally admit that I am from the upper realm.
"It's just such an inefficient method?" calmed down, and the knight stared intently at the mad dog.
"Nope. While those three straight stabs were a bit weird, and seemed to be stabbed through the throat with force that shouldn't have been wasted, that's not where I really say inefficient. Some of the combat habits that a swordsman developed in his early training will always be preserved - especially in the minutiae. For example......
Clearing his throat, Mad Dog leaned back and leaned back at a very large angle: "When fighting a shield-wielding human, this kind of action is just stupid. Do you dare to say that your imaginary opponent is not a blood beast?"
"What can we do?" the statement surprised him slightly, and the knight observed the mad dog's expression, "What is that bastard Carreso asking for, Sir?"
"Oh, excuse me! I'm not a sir. Mad Dog smiled dryly.
"Me neither. "It's already dusk.
"I'm too lazy to talk about Carreso today. Just the two of us talking further?" The mad dog had quietly approached Anusen's side, "You will like the good news I bring, trust me." β
"I don't think you're going to bring any good news that I'm interested in. Anusen smiled sideways at the mad dog: it was disgusting.
"It's unwise to be so sure. You should know this person, right?" the mad dog leaned into his ear and whispered a name.
Anusen frowned.
"Looks like I'm right!" laughed mad dog, "then we'd better go inside and talk about it." Because there is a letter to you...... I'm so sorry to let the mad dog dirty your floor!"
β...... Follow me. With a stern expression, Anusen sheathed her sword and walked briskly to the door of the inner courtyard. The mad dog followed leisurely.
"By the way, I'm here all the time, don't you appreciate a bottle of wine to drink? As long as it's not a pungent spirit, Lao Tzu likes it very much. β
"There's no wine for you to drink. Anusen glared at him, "I didn't expect you to have anything to do with Grune. β
"I didn't have anything to do with him. Mad Dog suddenly stopped and looked behind him.
"It doesn't matter, I'll read the letter for a while and then judge. Anusen frowned and opened the hallway door, "And I'll have to ask about you spying on my daughter." β
Just a few glances from afar, she was just sitting in a wheelchair holding a ball. Mad Dog snorted: "Let's not talk about this for now...... Have you messed with anyone lately?"
"What do you mean?" Anusen paused for a moment, "If you really want to provoke someone, I'm afraid it's Carreso's old dog." β
"Come on, I know very well that you two don't have a good relationship. Mad Dog glanced at him, "I didn't mean that...... Look over there. β
Looking in the direction of the mad dog's finger, Anusen saw a flash of black shadow.
