Section D, Chapter 27: The Disguised Eyes (Seresya)
After the sound of the blunt sword falling to the ground dissipated, there was a dead silence in the room, and everyone seemed to be frozen, not speaking.
"You...... You ......" With a stunned expression, the knight was the first to break the silence: "How is it possible? β
"To be honest, I was a bit surprised. Mad Dog narrowed his eyes and stared at the blunt sword: "Can you really do this...... I didn't expect this effect at all. Originally, I thought that it was definitely the dagger that was sent flying. β
"It was so weird just now. The knight gasped and kept pinching his right wrist: "The shock made my wrist hurt, and I almost dislocated." β
"It doesn't make sense. Morse stumbled, "Seresya's dagger was spinning so fast just now, and it should have no fingers as a support point to resist the impact. In that case, a slight slash would be enough to knock it into the air. But how can it be the exact opposite......"
Staring at the dagger in his hand, Mad Dog felt more and more excited: "Knight, how did you feel when you just slashed at my dagger?"
"It's just that I feel a strong ......impact on the blade I touch," Anusen's tone was extremely hesitant, "like being bounced off." β
"That'...... You do it again. Mad Dog thought for a moment, ran to pick up the blunt sword and threw it to the knight: "Don't use so much force this time, just slash it lightly." β
Catching the weapon, the knight approached the mad dog and slowly raised his blunt sword. Turning the dagger back away, Mad Dog squinted at the knight.
Finally, a sluggish slash struck at him. This time, however, the sword wasn't knocked out of the way - it was bounced off slightly, with little impact at all.
"That's what happened. Stopping the movement of his fingers, Mad Dog stared at the dagger carefully: "It seems that the stronger your attack, the stronger the counterattack." β
"If so, then if the enemy uses a feint......"
"Yes, it's bad to be wrong. Mad Dog was silent for a moment, then looked at the blunt sword: "I think it can also reflect projectiles, so I don't have to test it." β
"What's ......" Morse looked embarrassed: "Could it be the effect of gemstones?"
"Probably, who cares?" Mad Dog coughed dryly, grabbed the dagger and hung it around his waist: "If it doesn't have this characteristic, parrying the dagger is just a waste of fame." β
"And how did you find out it works like this?" the blacksmith still looked shocked.
"When I got my hands on it, I always felt like I had used it before. So I subconsciously spun around. Mad Dog was silent for a moment and looked at the hilt of the stabbing sword: "Actually, this stabbing sword is the same...... Morse, what's your friend's name?"
"Theros Boulton. Live on the continent of Orda, our thirteen worlds. The blacksmith sighed and stood up, "I haven't seen him for a long time, and I don't know how he's doing?"
I always seem to have heard of this man somewhere...... Mad Dog gritted his teeth: Did the hooded man delete any key news?
"Six o'clock...... It's so late. Morse looked at the wall clock by the window: "This dark thing is out of sight." I'm going to light the candle ......."
"Alright, let's go. Retrieving the bayonet, Ceresya stared at the blacksmith with satisfaction: "Thank you for your dagger, and use the absolute effect with the bayonet." β
"Hey, this is leaving?" Morse looked at the sword reluctantly, "Don't stay for a while......"
"No, thank you. The mad dog immediately flashed out the door, and nearly collided with the patrolman: "Knight, hurry upβsomething serious to say." β
"What serious?" said the knight, after taking his leave with the blacksmith, and asked in confusion.
"It's better to find a place where no one is around. Glancing at the passing guards, Mad Dog leaned in and whispered in the knight's ear, "Be careful, knight...... I don't know how many enemies are in this hallway. β
"That's just as well. The knight looked around, "But is that all that is to be said so secret?"
"It doesn't count. The mad dog glanced to the side and pulled his sister closer to him: "Lusa, have you thought about it......?
"Not yet. Lowering her hood slightly, Lutha lowered her head: "Let me think about it again......"
"Lusha, excuse me. Clearing his throat, he crouched slightly and removed Lusha's hood.
"Huh?" looked around in a panic, and Aya, whose face was suddenly exposed, looked extremely nervous.
"Don't panic. Lusa, look me in the eye. Relaxed expression, Mad Dog stared at his sister's ice-blue eyes: "Have you thought about it, can you help Mace them?"
"That, that. Aya was a little incoherent, and after cowardly avoiding her eyes, she finally raised her eyes to look at the mad dog: "I haven't thought about it yet, give me some more time to think about it......"
"Alright, don't think about it. Just look at the look in your eyes and know that from the beginning there was no intention of not helping. Sighing, Mad Dog helped Aya put on his hood and touched his head gently: "He's a good boy and can't lie at all - but it's better to learn to hide your thoughts in the future." β
"I ...... I didn't ......," Lusha's tone was frustrated.
"Then we won't help this time, how about it?" Mad Dog coughed dryly and narrowed his eyes: "Okay...... Anyway, it doesn't matter to us whether this person is dead or alive, does it?"
"Not really!" Lusha's tone flustered, "Can't-"
"Okay, that's it. Pressing his little head, Mad Dog took over the conversation with satisfaction: "Okay, this matter is settled - when Lucina recovers in the flesh, we will go to investigate the lower post." Is that okay, Lusa?"
"Huh?" Lusha's body trembled, and it took a long time to react: "Ah, that...... Hmmm!"
"You've changed your attitude fast enough. The knight looked at the mad dog in surprise: "What's the matter?"
Nonsense, it's not to embarrass Lusa...... "Of course, it's because of the amount of Eloa gold that I received." Mad Dog grinned: "And got the parry dagger." I'm embarrassed not to go. β
"You're going to be embarrassed. The knight's expression softened: "It's good to reach a consensus, and I'll talk to Mace about the details." β
"Choosing the outpost, right?" After thinking for a moment, Mad Dog suggested, "If you choose one of the Divine Wood Forest and the Ice Dragon Valley outpost...... You try to fight for the Divine Wood Forest. β
"Because it's safer?" Anusen leaned against the wall, looking like he wanted to say something, "Indeed." In terms of location, Ice Dragon Valley is relatively close to the Dark Glacier......"
"It's not just because of that, I have something to confirm. Not going to say it now, Ceresya sold a pass: "It's dangerous to go anywhere anyway." β
"Yes. The knight was silent for a moment, and then said, "Nothing else, is it?, then I'll go to Mace before dinner......
"Don't worry, knight, are you so afraid of my change?" interrupting the knight, the mad dog approached Anusen: "There is another matter that must be solved tonight, otherwise I will not be able to sleep." β
"What's the matter?" the knight froze.
"I'll have to see the two hunters' houses. Mad Dog narrowed his eyes and stared at the knight.
