Section A, Chapter XXIV: Governor Carreso (Seresia)
In the dim light, Celesya sat on the hard couch with her legs crossed, squinting at Carreso.
"I don't remember me giving you such an order, mad dog. Governor Carreso, sitting across from the Mad Dog, stared at Seresya.
"Oh, you don't seem to have any. Ceresya picked the bottle from the ground and tore off the cork.
"Do what I command. โ
Pouring a large gulp of mead, Seresa wiped her mouth; In general, this does seem to be the case. โ
"Who told you to do this, mad dog, why didn't you report it to me on such a crucial incident?" Ceresia's bloated body grew fatter and fatter in the candlelight, causing Ceresia to burst out laughing.
"What are you laughing at?"
Knowingly, Ceresya poured the entire bottle of honey in one go, and shook the bottle in her hand.
"I'm laughing at your bloated figure, Governor Carreso. Cereya patted her head, "Ah, yes - maybe you can try not to wear that white coat, it makes you look as disgusting as a piece of rotten meat." Honestly, white isn't for you. โ
"I don't think you need to remind me of my body all the time. "Governor Carreso remained patient.
"Boring fellow......" Ceresya closed her eyes, intending to recuperate.
Let me see how much patience you are proud of?" With that in mind, Ceresya deliberately ignored Governor Carreso's previous question.
"Oh, who's your new interesting guy?"
"Oh, that's a lot. Without thinking, Cereya asked, "I met a toad seller this morning, guess what he will say?"
Seeing that Governor Carreso was not interested in the slightest, the mad dog who was even more interested announced the answer: "I went to talk to him, and he would just look at you blankly and say, 'Toad!'" The mad dog gestured and learned the idiot's expression: "But, when you ask how much, he will say another thing: "A ten-far!ahahahaha!" The mad dog laughed.
"Have you laughed enough?" Carreso still grimaced.
"Hey, hey...... I thought my sense of humor was low enough. Seresa squinted, "If you keep a straight face, you can't find a close friend, Lord Carreso?"
"Are you just going to play tricks, mad dog?" said Carreso, who didn't react at all.
"No, no, no, I'm going to beat people up until they can't get out of bed. Governor, you should know better. โ
I'll see how far you can endure...... Mad Dog decided to keep the subject off track to provoke him: he would enjoy the angry look on his iron-clad face. This would make him happy for a whole day and drain a whole liter of mead.
"Answer my question, otherwise it will be you who can't get out of bed. Carreso clapped his hands, and the door opened, leading to two fully armored guards.
"Hey, hey...... Is it really good to casually bring a weapon into someone's house?" Mad Dog glanced casually, and the faces of the two men were hidden under the steel helmets: Count you with a little brain, otherwise I will knock off your front teeth with the hilt of your sword.
"I think you understand where you are, mad dog. โ
"Oh, I don't get it anymore. Seresya laughed dryly and looked at the long sword hanging on the wall far from the other side of the room: "But I'd like to remind our two new guests first, be careful not to touch the vase on the wall of Lao Tzu." The flowers in it are very expensive, and you two can't afford to sell them even with armor, you know, two goods?"
"The flowers inside have long since withered. One of the guards protested.
Brins' voice...... Mad Dog laughed in his heart: when would he be able to afford such expensive armor?
"Oh, what are you two going to do to compensate me?" Celeya rubbed her eyes in disgust, "As soon as you enter the door, you wilt my flower ugly!"
"Don't talk nonsense, mad dog. Another guard spoke, an already muffled voice echoing through the canned helmet.
I hadn't heard the voice before, but I remembered it. Seresa snorted contemptuously, "See, Lord Governor, what do you do with these two waste guards? If you're going to use them to threaten a madman like me, it's better to advise you to change the two guards who won't speak easilyโof course, dumb is the best choice." โ
"Shut up, mad dog. Carreso sat up slightly, his fat body straightened, which meant that he was starting to get impatient with such conversations.
"How about calling me by my name once in a while, isn't it annoying to bark a mad dog every day?" Observing the Governor's face in the candlelight, Ceresya observes the Governor's face by candlelight, "I'm annoyed if you don't botherโCereya Lisen." Free help me review my name, no thanks. โ
"A crazy and stupid dog, why does it need a name?" Carreso snorted disdainfully.
I know you look down on me, everyone is the same. "Thank you so much for this kind reminder. But it seems that this mad dog is not stupid. Ceresya tossed the bottle and caught it in mid-air: "At least, better than some guy with a fat brain." โ
"You insult Master Carreso!" shouted the muffled-voiced guard.
"Your Majesty, your new bodyguard is sarcastic about you. Seresa burst out laughing: he noticed that Carreso's face was getting worse and worse.
"Don't make those worthless jokes, mad dog...... Who told you to do that?"
"Huh...... Yes, anything that doesn't benefit you is worthless. Seresa snorted, "I've been asking, 'Who told you to do this?' I want to ask what can I say directly, Master Carreso, who has no sense of humor at all? Or do you think that such an inexplicable time-wasting question can set up some false information or rely on your position to sublimate your sense of majesty? Ceresya was pleased to see that Carreso's face grew more and more pale: the appearance of the person in the position of high authority, who thought he was very wise and majestic, was definitely a big sight to behold.
"Yesterday, you went to see Anusen Reano. And now neither he nor the Son of Angels know his whereabouts. Only traces of the battle and blood remained in the house. Carreso, who had always tried his best to maintain his dignified image, had a mixture of impatience in his tone: "Some people also claim to have seen a pitch-black creature near Reano's house......"
"Oh, that's probably because they're wrong. Seresya understated: "I didn't expect even you to believe these nonsense." โ
"I'll figure it out if it's nonsense......" Carreso stared at him, "Who sent you to the Reano's house?" โ
"When is it necessary for me to tell you everything I do, my dear Lord Carreso?" Celesa shook the bottle between her fingers, "and why must I be instructed to do so - could it be that I can't even decide what I want to do?"
"Because you're a mad dog who only listens to your master's orders. โ
"Apparently this mad dog is not like this, but a free wild dog that does whatever he wants. Cereya, who threw down the empty wine bottle, changed her words: "Then you want the Rayano family to die so much?"
"Anusen is of no use and only gets in the way. Carreso's patience seemed to have been exhausted: "His daughter, Elria, the Angel's Son, is the key to our plan - and now the two are all gone overnight. โ
"I've always been interested in what you want to do with that so-called son of angel. Seresa changed her seat and opened another bottle of mead: "But...... I do know that someone unleashed the Shadow Fiend the night before you were about to act, disrupting your entire plan. โ
"That's ...... so it is," Carreso was furious, "You betrayed me, Seresa!"
"Ah, we've got to correct - I've never been your man, have I?" the mad dog glanced disdainfully at the two knights holding the hilts of their swords.
"How long have you been undercover, Mad Dog?"
That's a nice expression...... The mad dog couldn't help but laugh, and after pouring another sip of honey wine, he said leisurely, "Don't get me wrong, Governor, I didn't give anyone my life, everything was for myself......"
"One last time, Mad Dog......" Carreso, overwhelmed with anger, slowly got up, "Where did you know about this? Tell me honestly...... I'm just going to deport you. โ
"Oh, I'm convinced of that. But I have to decline your kindness. Ceresa shook the half-bottle of mead, "Because I'm too lazy to repeat it again - it's all a whim." โ
The atmosphere in the room became extremely oppressive for a moment. The only sound in the house could be heard of Seresa gulping wine.
"Hands-on. Carreso, grim-faced, walked slowly out of the house.
The metal grinding of the two swords as they unsheathed sounded, and Seresa tossed the empty bottle to the back of the couch.
Listening to the sound of glass breaking, Ceresya stood up and laughed maniacally.
