Section F, Chapter 34: The Conspiracy of Concealment (Seresia)
"Hey, what do you see?!" Seeing Lucina standing still like a statue, the mad dog yelled impatiently, "Is there a dead man or a little yellow book on it?"
"There's a passage under it!" Lucina quickly turned around and responded, "Just, right under the dragon." If I hadn't just touched it to wake it up and move, the entrance would have been firmly blocked. β
That is to say, it was lying on the entrance? I really didn't expect to find such a thing, and the mad dog was taken aback: although it was probably just a coincidence...... But isn't that the equivalent of guarding the entrance? But this dragon is said not to always come here, and it is not a good guard.
"Maybe the entrance was there, right?" shouted at Aya, mad dog narrowing his eyes, "Isn't it normal to have a path to the top of the tower?" β
Well, it's really nothing special. Unless it's some goddamn secret passage.
But I was definitely distracted before - judging by the vague sound of Lucina's voice, we should not be able to hear the ice dragon's flapping wings. Naturally, it didn't make a sound. And he only missed the figure of the ice dragon flying before. It may have flown from afar, but it happened to be obscured by the buildings and not reflected by our vision. But it was this neurotic suspicion that led to an even more valuable clue.
"That'sβthat's right. Lucina's voice sounded completely unconfident: "But, have we found the door to the outside of the tower before? The entrance to the tower is open, and there must be a door closed inside the tower to keep out the wind." β
I don't think so...... Thinking back to the structure at the top of the tower, Mad Dog was pretty sure there was only the Bachelor's room. And no matter how messy it is, you won't miss any of the door panels - then it must be a secret passage, because the room that can only be accessed from the top of the tower is meaningless.
Speaking of which, is that why the Bachelor insisted on staying on the top floor even though he had bad legs - to keep it a secret? Frowning, Mad Dog tried to connect the matter to the underground ruins: something didn't feel right before. The tower looks so huge from the outside, but when you enter it, you can clearly feel that the space has been greatly reduced. Aside from the understanding that there are a large number of secret chambers several meters wide, there is no reasonable conjecture.
The Scholar knew that this secret passage existed, so he must have known the way to open it from within. And it is likely to be the key to the underground ruins - that is, the old man probably went down to see the ruins himself, so he was able to suddenly propose to Mace and the others that there were "maybe" underground ruins. This is suspicious because there is no documentation of it. Does that mean that the old man is fully aware that there is an enchantment that can protect Eternal Winter from the invasion of black ice, and has personally verified it?
Regardless of how he knew about it, it didn't matter at all. The important thing is that this guy has been controlled by Black Ice. The Black Ice Mage has definitely read his memories and learned all about it, including the way to the underground ruins. But the enemy didn't destroy the ruins - was it a lack of strength or something?
If he knew how to get to the underground ruins, why did he put this research note on his desk when he was alive? Doesn't this act itself mean that he still has many unanswered questions and somehow knows that he is going to die? But these thoughts should have been understood by the enemy.
So why don't they take the notes that absolutely hide the key information...... Are they afraid that their own people will not be able to solve the puzzle because they are not intelligent enough, or will they have to think the other way around, and wait for us to decipher it and sit back and enjoy it, because only we can solve the mystery, and we have in our hands what they have absolutely nothing to do.
There can only be two kinds of things...... First, as Lusa, who was cursed by Amrea's Locks. Second, the bloodline of the Children of Ice, which is unpolluted but extremely difficult to capture. Barvo Metz, for example. If this family bloodline with the dragon god as its family glory did not have a powerful power that was not consciously realized, it would seem difficult for people to revere it tens of thousands of years ago. At the mention of this, Ceresya suddenly felt a little annoyed that she had not heard Derno talk about how the Mace family became lords.
Damn, this guy didn't expect to hide so many things, what a scheming old slippery man...... Since he didn't tell anyone about this, there must have been a reason for him. It's just that, judging from the current intelligence, I can't guess his thoughts at all. However, despite this, Mad Dog vaguely felt that there was an incomparably deep conspiracy behind it - perhaps, it had something to do with Namedia, who mysteriously disappeared here fifteen years ago. Since no bones have been found, everyone thinks she is dead and does not want to mention it again.
Since Namediaa suddenly disappeared in the city, it is most likely that she "strayed" into the underground passage and did not come out. In other words, she may still be in the underground ruins under the Bachelor's Tower, but for some reason she can't leave there. There must have been entrances to the top of the tower and to the Bachelor's room, and only the Bachelor knew about it. In this way, if Namediaa had entered the ruins from there, the last person she would have seen would have been a bachelor.
How much do you know, old man...... And why did he hide it all and never mention it to outsiders? Holding his chin, Mad Dog vaguely realized that it would be difficult for his group to get out of this matter easily: what did the hooded man do when he got us here?
There is no breakthrough in answering so many questions, in short, notes are the key - but why leave an opening to the top of the tower? It can't be said that it is convenient to maintain the roof wall, right? The more she thought about it, the more confused she became, and Ceresya felt that it was worth investigating the entrance: this was different from the conjecture of the ice dragon just now, but now there were real doubts.
"Hey, Mad Dog, are you listening to me?" Because he was just in deep thought, the Mad Dog who didn't reply for a long time made Aya anxious: "Don't pretend you can't hear!"
"Oh, what did you just say?" Interrupted by his train of thought, Mad Dog absentmindedly raised his head and added, "Well, it doesn't matter what you say anyway." Anyway, you can go down the passage and see where you can get to?"
"Huh, that's what I was talking about just now, can't you just listen to someone listen carefully?" The tone was extremely annoyed, Lucina's figure disappeared by the side of the tower, and her voice faded away: "I'll go over and take a look and come out, don't go yet!"
