CHAPTER XXII
Returning from Diagon Alley until Sally boarded Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, Snape never left Sally. Sally had previewed all of her textbooks, except perhaps for the teacher of the new Defense Against Magic class. Snape made no secret of the fact that it was a pile of rubbish, worthless of flipped through it.
The advantage of having a professor by her side, especially an all-round professor, is that Sally not only easily made up for the knowledge points that she had missed in the previous year, but also understood the course of this year with an eight. The two of them knew the reason why she worked so hard, but no one explained it thoroughly. The next day she was about to drive to Hogwarts, and that night, Snape gave her an ice cream cake that had been broken in Diagon Alley and wished her a happy birthday.
The next day, Snape dropped her off at the station, and since many people in the academy knew him, he moved to a place that was still some distance from the station.
"Why didn't the others come over like this?" asked Sally, confused. "If there is such a convenient way. Where's my luggage?"
"Since only professors have the right to use shapeshifting in these places, I'll bring your luggage to Hogwarts and arrive with someone else's, so you don't have to worry about it. Naturally, Snape said, and Sally felt the superior treatment of the employees' families.
Because she wanted to avoid the others, Snape sent her a little earlier than the others. Sally occupied a compartment early and waited fifteen minutes for someone to push the door in. She sat in her seat, looking at the book she had bought from the bookstore, and didn't speak until the train slowly moved away, and she realized that it was just her and a black boy in the compartment, and the boy had been quietly watching her. Realizing this, she couldn't help but ask, "Is there anything wrong with you?"
Before the boy could speak, the door to the cubicle was slammed open, and Goyle stood in the doorway, shouting "Malfoy, Brack, I've found Sally." ”
After a while, Malfoy and Brackgale arrived in the private room, but because the private room could only seat four people, Malfoy looked at the black boy very unceremoniously.
"Hey, which academy are you from. Malfoy asked arrogantly.
"I... I don't know yet. The boy said.
"Ha, first-year freshman. Malfoy laughed. "Our compartment is in the front car thirty-sixth, it's spacious inside, you can go there. If you're a bit more sensible, if you're sorted into Slytherin, maybe I'll be nice to you. ”
The boy picked up his belongings and walked away without looking back. Malfoy was pleased with the situation, and he sat down next to Sally.
"Dad took me to Holden to visit one of our distant cousins. He explained, "So I didn't see the letter you wrote to me in time. ”
"It's okay, I found my godfather. Sally said, "Thanks to your candy, I got through those three difficult days, a late Christmas present." ”
She pulled out a quill from her pocket, and the ring was lightly engraved with a knife with happiness.
"I carved it myself. Sally said, "It might be a little ugly." ”
"I don't think so. Malfoy laughed, "Actually, I didn't expect to get a Christmas present, you know, it's Christmas coming." ”
"So when I give you a new Christmas gift in advance?" Sally smiled too, "You know, I really don't pick a gift for anyone." By the way, and Goyle and Brack's, your gifts are in the suitcase, and I can't give them to you until I get to school. ”
At this time, the woman selling snacks knocked on the door of the cubicle and asked if they needed some food. The four of them bought a table full of them, and Malfoy generously paid for all of them, even though Sally insisted that she should give a part, Malfoy only said that their family had never made a girl pay. Sally had no choice but to give up, and most of the food ended up going into Goyle and Crabbe's stomachs anyway.
The four of them talked about the summer vacation. Sally briefly sums up her life in Spider's Tail Alley, saying only that her stepfather is an ordinary wizard who is inconvenient for some reason to be known.
The four of them chatted until they arrived at Hogwarts Station, where Sally tried to look for Harry, but there were so many people that they had to hurry into a carriage and leave.
At the opening party at Hogwarts, Sally felt a little amused as she watched the children being carefully led into the hall by Professor McGonagall, and one by one putting on the Sorting Hats at a loss. Thinking of this time last year, I was like this, and I couldn't help but feel a lot of emotion in my heart.
She saw Snape sitting on the edge of the teacher's box, with the new Defence of Magic teacher sitting next to him. Sally knew him because he had a large portrait of him on the cover of every book he bought, so even if she hadn't flipped through it, she knew that he, Gilderoy Lockhart.
Snape clearly disliked him, and showed it on his face without reservation. This caused Sally to silently mourn for Professor Lockhart.
Ginny Weasley, as a first-year freshman, was undoubtedly sorted into Gryffindor. Sally applauded heartily, a little envious that their family could take care of each other in the same house. She didn't see Harry, and she didn't feel strange, after all, there were two houses separated by two houses.
The black boy was sorted into Ravenclaw, and Sally didn't listen to his name carefully, recognizing him only after he took off his hat. But it doesn't matter, if you don't go to the same college, then the opportunity to meet in the future will not be so frequent.
No sooner had the sorting ceremony ended than Snape left his place. It was no surprise that Sally had no trouble putting up with Lockhart until the end of the Sorting House. Sally ate the food on her plate and left Hogwarts, what she missed most was the abundance of food.
Back in the dormitory, it was the prefect's conversation with the new first-year students. Sally got up early in the morning, and had not slept in the car, and after dividing the gifts between the two of them, she went back to her bedroom and lay down on the bed. Outside, a huge octopus kept swimming past her window, and gradually, she entered the dream fragrance.
In the new school year, the changes in Sally are obvious. Even the dullest of Goyles could see that, although she still went to and from class with them, her spare time was either spent in the break room or in the library. Almost all spare time is like this, waking up early, eating, going to class, eating, library. Classes continued, meals were eaten, the library didn't come back until the curfew, and then the last one in the common room. Sally just smiled and didn't explain anything about her anomaly, and it wasn't until the first weekend that she realized she hadn't seen Harry yet, so on Saturday morning, she asked Harry, Ron, and Hermione to meet in the teacher's lounge.
"I can't believe you don't know about the two of them. Hermione said incredulously when Sally asked how the week had been. She then told Sally in detail how the two of them got into the school in a flying car.
"Very wonderful. Sally said heartily. "But how could that wall not let you in?"
"How do I know. Ron said, rolling his eyes. "It's incredible when I think about it now. ”
"Forget it, the past is gone. By the way, tell Ginny for me and congratulate her on her entry into Gryffindor. Sally said.
"She'll be happy. Ron said, "She likes you very much, maybe it's because of the boyhood, and Hermione... You know, when Harry came to our house she wasn't disappointed when she didn't see you, wasn't it?"
"Poof, I'll go back and see her when I'm free. Sally said, "I just didn't expect me to be so popular. ”
After chatting about the fun things of the summer vacation, they scattered, but Sally still went to the library, and through this week's reading and reading, she knew that she knew too little about everything in the world. Fortunately, it was not too late to start, and she was like a sponge, hungry for knowledge. Because he was so focused, he didn't even know what was going on campus.
Filch's cat, the undesirable Mrs. Lorris, was petrified at the top of the staircase.
"So you're saying that in our school, there's a secret room, and it's been opened?" Sally was in the Slytherin common room, listening to Malfoy. "What secret room, and what are you talking about as an heir?"
"If you continue to study like this, sooner or later you will be out of touch with society. Malfoy said unceremoniously, "This happened yesterday, and the whole school knows about it, oh yes, except for you." ”
"Because it has nothing to do with me. Sally said, "Actually, if it weren't for the full library today, I wouldn't have come back so early to hear you tell this story." ”
"It's not a story, Sally. It's about the whole of Slytherin. Malfoy said solemnly, "Do you know why there are so many people in the library today? everyone wants to know everything about the Chamber of Secrets and Slytherin, let them find it." ”
"Well, you know who the heir of Slytherin is. Sally said, and then she said in surprise, "Could it be you... ”
"I wish it was me, too. Malfoy's tone was a little defeated, "Unfortunately not, maybe I can write to ask my father." ”
"Then tell me when this matter has something to do with me. Sally's interest has dropped back to square one. "I decided to go to bed early today. Good night, Malfoy. Then she returned to the girls' dormitory under Malfoy's hateful gaze.
