CHAPTER XXIII

Time flies very quickly, and in a blink of an eye, more than half of this semester has passed, and the time has entered December. Without alarming anyone, Sally has already started her course as a fourth-grader. She got all the textbooks for the senior year and a few books from Fred George, which was undoubtedly very useful for her studies.

If there's anyone else who's wasting her time in this class, it's Defence Against the Dark Arts class. Professor Rohard, who he had heard from that she was Harry's sister, always found an opportunity to take a picture with her and give her his autograph. However, this phenomenon did not last long, and after Snape's tactful, forceful but gracious warning, he was finally able to reluctantly treat Sally with the same attitude as a normal student.

However, Sally's influence on him has not been very good, especially after he wiped out the bones in Harry's entire arm at Quidditch. So much so that when she later attended his classes, she spent her time sleeping or reading other books.

"Dueling Club?" Sally asked Malfoy next to her, confused. "Did I hear me wrong?"

"It's not that you heard me wrong, the peacock did say that. Malfoy called Professor Rohhard a peacock, which Sally thought was very realistic.

"Because the head of your house, Professor Snape, will come to my aid. So I wanted to give some special exceptions to the students of his college. You can know in advance about this exciting thing. Lockhart said happily.

"Are you going?" asked Malfoy, who smiled to himself, "Well, you must go to the library." ”

"Not necessarily. Sally smiled, straightened up, and looked at Lockhart with her cheeks in her hands. "Sounds interesting. ”

Malfoy looked at Sally's side face, her green eyes full of interest, the high and delicate bridge of her nose, her snow-white skin, her long red hair draped over her shoulders softly, and her mouth smiling, pursing her beautiful curve. For a while, he was a little stupid.

Sally was a little fascinated by reading in the library, and by the time she got to the auditorium, it was already a quarter past eight, and almost all the students had come, so she found a place with a little less people, and watched the battle between Lockhart and Professor Snape like a joke, without comparison. Sally even suspected that Lockhart might not know as much about magic as she did now.

At the end of the presentation, the two professors weaved through the crowd and divided the students into groups of two. When Snape approached Sally, Sally looked at him hopefully, wondering who he would put her with. Snape only glanced at her, walked past her as if he hadn't seen her, and didn't assign her a match.

"Boring. Sally grumbled quietly. Then she heard laughter from the crowd, and she walked through the crowd to see Malfoy lying on the ground, laughing without a gentlemanly demeanor. Harry was doing a ridiculous and comical dance.

Sally couldn't help but laugh, and she said to a Gryffindor student with a camera next to her, "Take a few more pictures and come back and give me some, okay?"

"Stop. Snape shouted, and the two immediately stopped the funny gesture. Sally realized that, apart from Harry and Malfoy, Ron and Seamus, Hermione and Millicent, and the other Gryffindor and Slytherin students in the group were not much better. Lockhart jumped like a toad between the injured students.

"Oh my God, oh my God. Lockhart said, "I think I'd better teach you how to stop unfriendly magic. He glanced at Snape, then wisely turned away. "Please volunteer to come up as a couple, what do you think of Longbottom and Finriry?"

"That's not a good idea. Professor Lockhart. Snape said, "Longbottom can wreak havoc with even the simplest of spells, and we'll send Finley's remains in a matchbox to the hospital room." What about Malfoy and Potter?"

Sally clearly didn't feel good, Malfoy had Snape behind him, and Lockhart behind Potter, so it didn't take any competition to know the winner.

"Three, two, one, start. Lockhart shouted.

Malfoy quickly raised his wand and yelled, "Oolong out of the hole!" only to see the head of his wand explode. Harry watched in horror as a long black snake burst out of it, landed heavily on the floor between them, and then raised its tongue to attack.

"Don't move, Potter. Snape said lazily, "I'll come. ”

"Let me come!" Snape could not finish his sentence when he was interrupted by Lockhart, who raised his wand and waved it threateningly at the snake, only to hear a loud bang, and instead of getting smaller, the snake rose more than a foot high, and when it fell, it landed right next to Sally, who had not had time to retreat. It was clearly enraged, and Sally felt a hairbreak on its back as she watched it roam at her feet.

"Let him go. She heard Harry speak, and then looked at the black snake, only to see that it had not left, but was just spitting out a letter and looking at Sally. Sally stared at it, she could hear Harry say it again. "Stay away from her. ”

The snake then rolled up and collapsed to the floor. Sally frowned, and couldn't help but say, "A little farther away." ”

Miraculously, the snake crawled for some distance towards the empty space as if it understood. Sally exhaled and looked up, and saw that there was no one around her and Harry, all whispering, and she read the same puzzled look on Harry's face.

"Sally, come to my office. Snape strode away, glancing at Harry before leaving. Sally was strange, but honestly following Snape's footsteps. As she passed by her classmates, she vaguely heard the words snake and Slytherin.

In the office, Snape sat in a chair, with an angry and serious expression on his face that was rare for Sally, his lips pursed tightly, and a pair of dark eyes staring at Sally.

"Maybe you should explain. Snape said, "Where did your old serpent come from, maybe it's written in the books you've read?"

"I don't know what a snake old cavity is. Sally said honestly. "Actually, I had no idea what I had just done, I thought I was saying something normal. ”

"No, it's not normal at all. Snape stood up and paced back and forth in the small office. "The old snake is the skill of only the Slytherin heirs, and you will never have this kind of blood in you. ”

"But Harry... Sally said

"He's different. Snape yelled, "He's been in contact with that guy when he's been a kid, head-on. What about you? Or did you sneak out of the school and meet that guy without me knowing, like your ignorant brother, or that adventurous, arrogant dad, Potter?" he sneered. ”

Sally's face slowly sank, and she felt that the good mood of tonight was suddenly gone. She looked at Snape's expression and blurted out a few words without thinking about it.

"It's not that I'm a snake, it's this face, this one that looks like my mother. You can't allow the owner of this face to do anything completely different from what you remember. She felt tears welling up in her eyes, and her eyes widened, "But I'm Sally Potter, not Lily." It's not!"

"That's how you talk to your dean!" Snape exclaimed, angrily, "It seems that I have given you so many privileges that you can't stand your ground a little." Now I command you to go to Filch and keep you locked up twenty-four hours a day, beginning tomorrow morning!"

"There's no need to wait until tomorrow morning, I'll go now. Isn't it just confinement? Do you think I'm going to be scared?" Sally turned to go out, slamming the door shut. The moment the door closed completely, tears welled up in her eyes.

Snape stood inside the room, gasping for air. He was panicked, scared, panicked, and it was the feeling of being exposed to the sun with the deepest secrets buried in his heart. He couldn't deny it, although he kept telling himself that Sally wasn't Lily, and that Lily wasn't there anymore. But whenever he saw that familiar face, he couldn't help but think of her as Lily. He thought he was hiding well, but he didn't expect that he was the only one who was deceived.

Sally approached Filch and bluntly told him that Professor Snape had told her to come here and be locked up for 24 hours. Filch had been more than happy to accept this request. He didn't even ask Snape why she was being shut up, and he hummed a ditty and led her to a small, dark room.

Confinement is arguably one of the most severe punishments at Hogwarts, and it is a place for students who have broken serious school rules but refuse to admit it. There was only one bed and one toilet in the small dark room. There were no windows, and perhaps that little hole in the door could barely be considered a window, after all, all the light came from there. Filch gave her two bottles of water and a few loaves of bread, and told her that she was only locked up for twenty-four hours and that there was no need to prepare food for her. Sally didn't care, in fact, she didn't care about anything now.

The time was unknown in the dark room, as the only light coming from it was the candle in Filch's office. Sally thought quietly in the dark, she vaguely understood why Snape was so different from Harry, no, in fact, she had always known it, she just didn't want to face it. She just kept telling herself that she was lucky to have a dean who cared so much about her students.

She felt like she had fallen asleep in a daze, and had woken up in a daze. Sometimes the stomach is turning upside down, and sometimes it is like nothing. The bread was within reach, but she had no intention of reaching for it.

"How is she now?" In a daze, she seemed to stop in Professor Snape's voice, low and dark, and Sally had never heard him speak in a happy or excited tone.

"I don't know, Professor. After all, there were still eight hours before she was released. Filch said respectfully. "I heard that a Gryffindor boy and the ghost have been killed again. Professor, you should go and suggest to the headmaster that at least Potter be locked up. Like this Potter now. ”

"There is no conclusive evidence that Potter did it. Filch, I see what you mean, and trust me, I'd love to lock him up too, but not now. Snape said. "What's wrong with her?" Snape saw Sally curled up on the ground through the small window in the door.

"That's it as soon as she comes in, Professor. I don't know. Apparently Snape did not accede to his request, causing him to speak in a drastic tone.

"Let her out. ”

"But Professor, there's eight hours left. Filch said in surprise.

"The confinement was lifted ahead of schedule. Snape's lips tightened, "Get her out." ”
