CHAPTER XXIV

When Sally woke up, she was lying on a single bed. There was a familiar smell on the bed, and she knew immediately where it was.

She got up and saw the clock on the wall showing Snape giving lessons to Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. I almost didn't think about it, and I was going to put on my shoes and leave. It's dinner time soon, maybe she can go back to the bedroom and wash her face and go drink some pumpkin millet soup, eat two sweet pumpkin pies, and forget about these troubles.

She put on her shoes and was about to get up, when she inadvertently saw that Snape's position on the alarm clock had changed to the road, and he had left class early. Sally thought of never meeting each other, so she trotted out of the dark room, and when she was about to open the office door, she saw Professor Snape's gloomy face outside the door.

Damn, in a few minutes, she'll be back in the Slytherin common room without a sound. Sally didn't say a word or make a move, and Snape entered the door, then slammed it shut.

"Professor Snape, do you think I should go back to confinement or will you be merciful enough to allow me to go to the Great Hall for dinner. Sally's tone was mocking with uncontrollable sarcasm. She bet he must have heard it, but he didn't show it at all.

"Your lockdown is lifted, and in a moment you can go straight to the auditorium for dinner. Snape said, sorting through his things from class. "But before that, I think we need to talk. ”

"I don't want to, Professor. Sally's hands subconsciously clenched into fists, she wanted to escape, and she could escape one day at a time.

"I think both the Head of Slytherin and your Godfather are enough for me to talk to you if you don't want to. Snape had already packed his things and sat down in a chair.

"I know your mother. "I've been very good friends with her for a while, but that's all I would have forgotten about if it weren't for you." Because I hate your father, and judging by my attitude towards your brother, there is no doubt about that. I love you because I see potential in you, and I do that with any student I like, like Drake Malfoy. Later, since I became your godfather, I am responsible for your safety and growth, which is why I will give you many privileges. He sighed.

"You mean you didn't treat me so well because of my mother, you mean you like me?" Sally said incredulously.

"Yes. Snape said, "I care about you because I'm your godfather, and that's the only reason. ”

"You should have told me earlier. The smile returned to Sally's face. "You're doing this to make me act like a fool. ”

"I think so too, now you should go to dinner. He got up, not giving Sally a chance to refuse, and walked to the bookcase and began to consult the books.

Sally looked at him seriously, stuck out her tongue, and walked to the auditorium like Professor Snape saying goodbye, she was in a happy mood, and her nervous heart that had been resting since the beginning of the summer vacation was finally relieved.

After Sally left, Snape continued to flip through the books in front of the bookcase, without purpose, until he finally felt that his strength was exhausted, and then slowly sat down on the floor against the bookcase.

He has told countless lies and deceived countless people in his life, but just now, every word seemed to fall on his heart, and it hurt.

Lily Potter, how could he forget. She had become one with his soul, with all of him, and was the only reason he had lived in this ugly, filthy world.

Only now, he had to separate Sally from Lily, he couldn't fool himself anymore, he was going to kill his hopes with his own hands.

He should have done it a long time ago.

The days seemed to be back to before, and as the Radman grass grew naturally, the petrified animals, students, and ghosts were all hopeful. Finally, the semester ended, and with a heavy snowfall for three days and three nights, most of the students left school and went back to their homes for Christmas.

Sally was not surprised that Malfoy, Goyle, and Crabbe had all stayed at the school, as the three of them had shown an unprecedented interest in the Chamber of Secrets and the Slytherin heirs, and Malfoy felt that happy days like Christmas were most likely to happen. Goyle and Crabbe had always been Malfoy's subordinate, so all three stayed at school.

Naturally, Harry wouldn't go back, and the Weasley children stayed at school because they didn't want to go to Egypt with their parents to visit Bill, and to Sally's surprise, Hermione decided not to leave and wanted to review her homework at school. This made Sally vaguely feel that the three of them were plotting something, but no matter how she tried, the three of them just smiled and didn't say anything more.

She had asked Snape for advice that if he was going back to Spidertail Alley for Christmas, she would take a leave of absence. But apparently Snape was not in the least interested in preparing the Christmas feast and some of the rituals of Christmas. So Sally stayed at school as well.

On Christmas morning, she felt that the air was sweet before she got up, and when she opened her eyes, she found that it was not his delusion. There were so many Christmas presents on the bedside that Sally didn't even know when they were placed here.

She couldn't wait to open it, and there was a picture of their parents that Harry had given her, encased in the decoration of a necklace. Sally must admit that she and her mom look exactly the same. Ron gave her a hat that would change color, but because the hat had lace trim that was difficult for her aesthetic to reach, Sally planned to put it there as a work of art. Hermione had given her boxes of teeth whitening agents, her parents were both dentists, and she had told her before how important it was for girls to have beautiful teeth. Malfoy still gave her a large candy bag, which contained enough candy for a year, as if Malfoy had given her this kind of thing since she showed her love for sweets. Goyle and Crabbe also give her a lot of magical treats, and Sally plans to try them slowly while she has time. Ginny gave her a greeting card, beautifully made, which she loved. The Weasley brothers gave her a thick scarf, apparently much higher than Ron's in terms of aesthetics. When Sally shook off the scarf, she found a note falling out of it, the two brothers asked her to eat delicious food together at tea time, and also noted that there were other important matters to discuss, Sally didn't care, the two of them were usually not important. Mrs. Weasley still knitted her a red sweater with Dear Sharly embroidered on the front of the sweater with yellow thread, but unfortunately it was stained with a large piece of raisin cake that she had given her. Sally was feeling hungry, so she ate a few bites of cake and noticed that Mrs. Weasley's craftsmanship was as good as ever.

In the afternoon, he and Malfoy played a magical hand in the common room, and Malfoy was clearly a veteran, so his side was often victorious. At three o'clock in the afternoon, she got up and left the common room under the pretext that something was going on.

She arrives at an empty utility room where the Weasley brothers have agreed, and discovers that Ginny is there in addition to George and Fred. She was much more emaciated than Sally had remembered.

"Here you are, Sally. George got up and said, and he gentlemanly pulled out a stool for her, and Sally sat down with a smile, and found many things on the table that she had never seen before, but which looked delicious.

"Like you recommend some butterbeer. Drinking it can warm your body, but it is not recommended to drink too much, just taste it, you can drink some lemonade like Ginny. Fred said, getting up and pouring her a small glass. "I personally recommend these gummies as well as chocolates. ”

"It's amazing," Sally exclaimed. "Where did you get that?"

"It's so hurtful to ask that question. George, pretending to be mysterious, said, "We'll always have a way." ”

"Stingy. Sally said, taking a bite of the gummies, and then said seriously, "I'm thinking about how to torture you to get you to tell me the way, why don't I eat all the remaining gummies?"

"It's not a threat to us. Fred laughed. A few people talked and laughed, and Sally keenly felt that Ginny had been unusually silent, which did not match the outgoing and cheerful personality of the first meeting.

"I'll go to the bathroom. Ginny got up and came back in a moment. ”

After Ginny left the room, Sally stopped her playful tone and said, "Say, what do you have to do with me?" ”

"About Ginny. Fred didn't beat around the bush and said, "She's changed a lot lately, and I'm sure you've noticed it, but no matter how many of our brothers asked, she wouldn't say." After all you think about it, you can only try, after all, you are Harry's sister, and you know each other, both girls. ”

"Why don't you let Hermione ask? They sleep in the same room every day. ”

"Why didn't you ask. George sighed and said, "But Hermione and Ginny don't know each other very well, and Ginny has an inexplicable hostility towards her, I think it's because of Harry, and Hermione, you know, we're afraid that if our little sister really breaks a school rule, I hope that person can help her instead of telling the teacher." ”

As soon as George finished speaking, Ginny pushed the door and entered.

"I can ask for you, but you two have to leave, or I won't be able to ask anything. Sally whispered quickly.

George Weasley made an OK gesture, and soon Ginny was seated before the two of them left under the pretext that they were going to prepare for the Christmas dinner that evening.

Only Sally and Ginny were left in the room, and Sally asked Ginny if there was anything she wasn't used to at school, and in her questioning, she keenly felt that when she asked Ginny if you didn't make a good friend, Ginny obviously stopped for a while.

"Have you met anyone?" Sally tried to make her tone as gentle and calm as she could, "If you want, you can tell me." I'm not from Gryffindor, and I'm not going to tell you Dean. If you want, I can also promise you not to tell anyone. ”

Ginny hesitated, apparently the pressure it had put on her was too much for her to bear.

"If you need my help, I can help you in any way I can. Sally said, "It's better to carry it with two people than for you to carry it alone, isn't it?"

Ginny finally broke down, and she fell on the table and cried, and then told Sally what had happened to her.
