Wallis Western Kingdom
Fern said that her mouth was dry and she wanted to take a break and continue the next day, but Ness was already fascinated by what she heard, and pulled Fern to make sure that the rest of the kingdom was all along before she stopped. Fern took the opportunity to instruct Ness to make some tea for him, and Ness pouted and slowly served a pot of Dayton's specialty jasmine tea. Fern took a few small sips of tea in satisfaction, nodded pretentiously, and continued, this time pointing to the northwest of Wallis on the map.
Altoona
Located in the northwestern border of Wallis, the border state guards the northern border of Wallis along with Doyle and Sarah. However, unlike Doyle and Sara in the northeast, Darktide hardly focuses on the west, in fact, Altoona has only been invaded by Darktide once in history, but this time, Darktide has reached the vicinity of Altoona's capital, Arturas, and Altoona's soldiers are unable to resist Darktide's offensive due to their extreme lack of experience in fighting Darktide. At the critical moment, it was Doyle's army that rushed to the aid from the east to drive the dark tide back to the north of the border. In order to prevent Darktide from raiding the same place again, Altoona built the Magnus Fortress in the gap of Blackridge Mountain, but it has not been seen for more than two hundred years since the fortress was built, and it is not until the end of the second part of the story that Darktide targets it for the second time.
Altoona's territory is about the same size as Doyle before the breakup, and larger than Doyle if you include the Twilight Forest, but it's an inaccessible forest, and only the Magnus defenders send patrols to some fixed strongholds in the forest to protect travelers who need to cross the forest from the strange creatures of the forest.
The city of Alfarita in the southern part of the kingdom is connected to the kingdom of Ogden across the borderlands by a bridge from the sky, which makes it easy for travelers and merchants to travel between Altuna and Ogden, so Altuna is significantly more prosperous than Doyle, and is rarely directly threatened by the Dark Tide, so Altoona is more of a normal kingdom than a frontier state.
The Altoona are also more similar to the Middle Kingdoms than the Doyle, with their hair usually dark yellow or earthy yellow and darker eyes.
Enoch and Botarus in the story are both from Altoona.
Ogden
Ogden was the only one of Wallis's kingdoms ruled by a queen, which contributed to the low status of men in the kingdom.
Located in the northern part of the kingdom, Grand Rapids is said to be Wallis's most fortified city, stronger than Tempe's Deluth, thanks to its geographical advantage of being surrounded on three sides by cliffs. To the north of Grand Riptide, the Sky Bridge spans the Borderlands, connecting Ogden to Altoona.
Due to Queen Darsally's prejudice against mages, and Dayton's close relationship with the Mage Tower, Ogden and Dayton have been in a state of indifference for many years. A considerable number of troops have gathered on the border of both countries, and although the fighting has never begun, the atmosphere has been tense until the second half of the second part of the story, when the soldiers of the two countries work together to fight against the dark tide, and the relationship between the two countries is slightly relaxed.
Ethan in the story is the prince of Ogden, the son of Queen Darsally. Windsor, as Generalissimo of Ogden, led the army in the Battle of Magnus along with Ethan.
Dayton
Dayton is strategically located in the west and bordered by the Endless Sea, where the humid monsoon winds blowing from the sea and the moderate temperatures throughout the kingdom make it a haven for crops. In addition to self-sufficient grain cultivation and large exports, Dayton also developed a flower growing and trading industry according to local conditions, and accounted for more than 90 percent of Wallis's flower trade. Due to the superiority of the land and climate, the flowers produced in Dayton are beautiful in color and fragrant in smell, and high-end flowers are the luxury goods that the nobles of various kingdoms strive for. On the basis of the flower industry, Dayton's various flower teas are also famous in Wallis, and have become the favorite tea drink of girls.
Lucius Leopold, King of Dayton, was also one of the members of the team that entered the Far North more than twenty years ago, and he and Adeline had been friends for many years before entering the Far North, and he and Barred were friends of life and death, which made him feel very sorry that Barred could not be with Adeline in the end.
Lucius owns Triton, one of the three swords in stone, and legend has it that the ancient kingdom of Triton is in today's Dayton, so the royal family of Dayton has kept this sword in stone for generations.
Dayton's armies are known for their clever use of animals to increase their combat power, especially hounds, which are almost the size of foals, and are rumored to bite demons to death, let alone ghouls.
Cumberland
A knightly kingdom known throughout the continent, there is no royal family here, and the Grand Lord Sigmund, as the ruler of Cumberland, actually exercises rights similar to those of kings. Cumberland is divided into seven confederations, each governed by its own lords, who are also knights. Every six months, these lords would gather at Canrito and sit down at the round table with the high lord Sigmund to discuss matters of state, and all the articles and laws promulgated during this time were the result of a joint vote of all the lords, where no one had the right to reign over the round table, not even the high lord.
The principle of fairness and justice is everywhere in Cumberland, and even if a thief is caught in a village, it needs to be tried in public in the village, and the fate of the thief is finally decided by the vote of the villagers.
Canreto, the capital of Cumberland, is the city that every young man who dreams of becoming a knight dreams of, and every quarter, a grand knighthood ceremony is held here. Everyone who wants to become a knight, regardless of age, needs to submit their application on this day. However, Canrito has its own strict censorship system, in addition to the most basic requirements for military use, the examination of the applicant's character has reached a strict level, all in order to keep the glorious group of knights from being polluted by the world. No one will try to cheat on an application, because honesty is one of the most basic rules of being a knight, and of course, if the censor finds out, the cheater will not only be disqualified from applying forever, but even more so, Canrito will post the name of the fraudster on the bulletin board in every kingdom city, making him pay a heavy price for the fraud.
Cumberland had Wallis's most disciplined army, and although it was far from the northern border, the soldiers were no less good at fighting than the Doyle soldiers, and the only thing they lacked was actual combat experience. The neighboring kingdoms did their best to maintain alliances with Cumberland, as the knights of Cumberland would be the strongest in the event of war.
The law of Cumberland was also the most just of all the kingdoms of Wallis, and the punishment for breaking the law was exactly the same, regardless of status or position. Moreover, the knights of Cumberland were strict with themselves and hated all illegal acts, so they imposed heavy sentences on those who committed adultery, making Cumberland the safest kingdom in Wallis. In the capital city of Canrito, although it was populous, almost no one dared to steal or rob. Fern also once told Queai that in Canrito, you don't have to worry about someone stealing your wallet.
Macon
A small country in a remote corner, where there has never been a war, so the towns of Macon are generally very well developed and very commercial, and the capital city of Deville and the capital of Roanoke Saint-Sean are regarded as the two pearls of the East and the West.
In addition to commerce, Macon also had a thriving seafaring industry, with several huge dockyards to the west of Deville, in which ocean-going vessels were built day and night to sail the endless seas. The people of Wallis have it that if anyone can cross the Endless Sea to discover the world on the other side, it must be a Deville. But until now, no one has ever been able to sail alive to the other side of the Endless Sea and return, and perhaps someone has crossed the Endless Sea but never returned.
Macon's military was very weak, but because of its close relationship with Dayton in the north and its close proximity to Cumberland, there was no danger of invasion for a while. The soldiers were mainly used to maintain law and order, and occasionally to defend themselves against pirates from the sea. The concept of mercenary over military force makes it difficult for Macon to meet the demand in recruitment, so hiring mercenaries has become the best solution for people when they need to solve some troubles, and even the royal family will sometimes hire mercenary groups with better reputations to replace soldiers to complete some tasks for them. All this made Macon's mercenaries famous, and as Macon's capital, Deville, it was a gathering place for mercenaries from all walks of life, and it was rumored that the best mercenaries of Wallis could be found in Deville.
The story of Fern comes from Macon, and although his stature is very different from that of the average Macon, he is tall, even standing in the middle of a group of Doyles, but his hair and eyes are indeed the colors of the people of the South of the Centre. Some Macons have speculated that one of his parents must have been northerners and the other Macon.
Threndra
So far, not much has been revealed about this kingdom, except for the rainforests that dot the central and southern regions. Legend has it that in these rainforests, the ever-changing weather can make people wet several times a day, as well as the high temperatures that can discourage northerners.
Located at the southernmost promontory of Cerendra and the southern pole of Wallis, the route between the Endless Sea and the Sea of Mists passes through here, where a port is built for people to transit or rest.
