In the ancient civilization system of Central and South America, there are three civilizations confirmed by archaeology, in chronological order: the Olmec civilization, the Mayan civilization, and the Inca civilization. By the way, the Aztecs, another ancient Mesoamerican civilization that is commonly recognized, is actually a successor to the Maya, or is still counted in the Mayan civilization system.

The Inca Empire was a late-life civilization that was almost indistinguishable from modern civilizations.
