Chapter Ninety-Three: Spirit I

Gwen deeply regretted not preemptively learning to fly.

On her last flight, Alicia took her by the hand and pulled her across the sky like a human balloon. Now she's flying again, it's just that she can't control the factors that lifted her to a height. Despite the fact that Almuji helped her maneuver the flight, she still floated into the battlefield like a drunk, in a car without a steering wheel, like a drunk trying to give a deaf driver backseat directions.

Her chest hurts. It was a painful procrastination to see the fight so close, but she was too far away to help her siblings.

"Almuji, can we hurry up?" Gwen pleaded for air.

The rustling of leaves made them sped up, but the towers and the dark sun were still looming in the distance, and the aura of the combatants was just specks. As soon as the shameless pleasure of murder dissipated, Gwen felt a palpable pain of self-loathing.

Then, there was a battle ahead. Gwen couldn't help but swallow a bitter bite of bile at the thought of dueling Elizabeth. After all, it's one thing to run over piping hot coal in a crazy moment, and quite another to see it smoke and smoldering while thinking about the consequences.

As she was about to entangle Almoud to speed up again, she heard an incredible clang, and a message spell bloomed in her ears.

Soon, she removed her information device from the storage ring and activated its receiving symbol.

The voice almost made Gwen cry.

"Gwen, are you alright? Are you still in Rossby? Are you evacuating?" said Richard, asking a quick bunch of questions.

"I ...... All right. "Gwen doesn't know how to explain what the others are doing?"

"We're inland, well, home inland, including your mom. Surya used his estate as a camp. I volunteered to stay as a defender and pick up the people who had fallen behind. Where are you now? I'll come to you. ”

Gwen saw her surroundings clearly. She flies into the air, controlled by a psychotic granny, in a deadly aerial battle with a dark, all-devouring, empty sun.

"I'm safe," Gwen lied to say don't worry about me. I'll be joining you soon. ”

"Okay. Her cousin's voice was full of comfort, and I wanted the tower to stay alive – if anything happened, please keep me informed. I'm at the Strathfield overpass and we're trying to keep the name away from the CBD. ”

"Richard, wait!"

"Really?"

"How's Percy?" ?。。 Where's Daddy?"

"Percy gets along very well. Mr. Huang and his companions should have arrived by now. As for your dad, I can't say I know. ”

"Thank you. Gwen didn't want to pursue it anymore, at least for now.

"Goodbye. ”

"Okay. ”

The relaunch of the information tower brings new hope to Gwen, but also anxiety. Out of a naïve belief, she took her mobile phone and dialed the glyph "Yue". An unwelcome silence tells Gwen that Yue's divination band is either out of range or no longer exists.

"Oh my God!" Gwen covered her eyes.

Another depressing wave of evil energy erupted from the black sun, matching her repressed heart, her breathing matching the perfect synchronicity.

It was a good idea to cover your eyes, and without warning, a fiery crowd had gathered.

The mass cemented on the tower is greater than anything Gwen has ever seen or experienced. A plasma sphere with a diameter of more than ten meters! The meteor is like a meteor, shooting towards the sun in the void, and the light and shadow meet in opposition and disharmony.

Gwen's hopeful joy was short-lived, and for the next minute she watched as the fiery catastrophe turned into the stomach of the gloomy sun. Even though the Dark Orb is significantly reduced, the voids it consumes still retain its intensity, haunting the city with a vampire glow.

Afterwards, there was still a fiery flame.

Alexia!

Gwen's eyes sparkled with intense emotion, inspired by the glorious sight of the scorching Alexia. If her craft sister survived, then her friends certainly survived too!

Then, once again, Gwen became aware of her companion's desperate fight. If Alesia's meteor can't defeat Elizabeth, if Gunther, who immediately dismembered the enemy, who played with Gwen, can't defeat Elizabeth - then what can she do?

The highest level of her offensive spells is still Lightning.

Even with Almugi's authorization, she only fatally wounded him and did not blow him up to putty.

Even now, her divination signals carry terrible omens. The power of her stolen premonition roared out of the words on the wall, the hallucinations in the crystal ball.

It was as if her Void Spell had no effect on Elizabeth.

Her spells are only level 4 at most.

Her arousal rate at level 3 is still low.

On top of that, Kaliban and Ariel can't fly.

Just now, the Void Sun had just swallowed a high-level strategic-level summon of mass destruction, and Alicia's absurd affinity for elemental fire further enhanced its power.

For herself, even with Almuji's help, her lightning is at best a 6-8 affinity.

She's just an intermediary, and Gwen realizes that she's not a force of nature. She wasn't even a messenger, like those legendary Druidic masters in Europe. She's just a lucky guy with a little bit of mythical essence, a fox borrowing the fear of a tiger.

The "relative" seemed to sense her despair, and the telepathic resonance of Almuji made its presence known, the intensity of its consciousness, the scorching heat of the sun-baked clay.

"What should I do?Almuji?" Gwen thought it was silly to ask the myth, but she didn't know what else to do. As much as she would love to join the fight, she is not Alexia hot-headed, for whom victory is doomed, and defeat only means that one should work harder.

"Sing," echoed as a deep and resonant breeze turned into a thunderous roar, moving toward the harsh sound of dreams. ”

The serpent's telepathic speech is echoed by the sound of chanting and stomping. Out of nowhere, she heard the deep singing of Didgeridos, and saw the vivid colors of earthly human paint, ochre, red rust, and bone white. Out of the thin air was born the crunchy clasps of the water stick, the slap, the slap, the slap and the undulating chant of the kapi!

From the Qilin amulet poured out a stream of emerald-like energy, filling her body and giving her dream power.

The corrosive bacteria turn one after the other, one after the other.

There she was, in the middle of the crowd, moving her body, a Migru ghost swaying to the rhythm of a thump. They are going faster and faster. The material world becomes ambiguous, and the edges of the figures above and below, in front and below, become less obvious.

This is unformed land.

This is where the world began.

"Kapi, Kapi, Kapi!"

Suddenly there was a loud thunder, raindrops like bows and arrows, and the sound of kissing with dewdrops.

She sang the serpent and brought the storm.

Dreams are a ritual of understanding the world, and through storytelling, the unreal and the unreal become reality. It is the language of creation, the grammar of great stories. This was the beginning of knowledge, from which the laws of the world came. This is the old era of our ancestors, but also the new era of children, whose dreams make the world rainbow bright.

The snake and the sun.

The sun and the snake.

Gwen didn't know what magic drove Almugi, but she knew it wasn't the compulsion of the elemental energy that Siegel channeled. It is older, more ancient, it is the act of the world, the act of creation and the destruction. She doesn't know what myths the people of this world follow, but she knows many of her myths.

She now knows what to do.

"Almud," Gwen felt her mind connected to the vastness of the serpent itself, connected by the moment you dream together that you must swallow the black sun. What belongs to the earth, must be returned to the earth. Usurpers will be expelled. ”

A meandering rainbow tells the story of a meandering sea serpent to the shoreline.

She felt the remnants of the Qilin amulet fill the air, manifesting in her dreams, summoning snakes and building bridges between Uluru and the Tasman Sea.

For a second, her supernatural energy vanished, and the connection between her and Almuji became less intimate. Next to her now was the rudimentary platform of the enchanted tower, and the collateral damage of the battle was on full display. Above Gwen, Alicia is wrestling with a fundamental force that is hindering her movements. Gunther walked over to cover her, but the two were entangled in the dark tendrils that awaited them.

Pressure begins to form on the top of the head. When elemental mana begins to rotate, the water vapor in the troposphere becomes dense. Gwen's storm is coming. Gwen quickly unleashed an information spell at her brother, who was still trapped in the tendrils.

"Gunther! we must get out of here—now! The snake is coming!"

"Gwen?" he replied, what snake?

"There's no time to explain!

Gwen used what little strength she had left.

"Babanjini!" she said incantation.

An emerald bolt of lightning tore apart the tendrils of darkness that enveloped Gunther and Alesia. Her siblings are still entangled, falling from the sky. Whatever attacked Alessia, it must have sensed that it did not match Almud's raw power, as Gwen witnessed an impossible scenario: a female Jayne tore herself from Alessia and dematerialized into the elemental plane of fire.

The furious Jayne is gone, and Gunther regains control of the flying spell. The paladin of the Tower of Sydney took Alesia's half-conscious body in his arms and turned to look at Gwen suspended in the air.

"How are you flying?" he asked, disbelieving, as he slowly approached.

"There's no time!" Gwen emphasized, pleading with his eyes for Doganther, you need to get us out of here!"

A sudden thunderstorm fell in the cloudless sky.

Gunther looked up, confused by the turn of events.

"What's on it?"

"Gunther!" Gwen's voice rose several octaves.

The radiant mage reached out and grabbed Gwen's arm, pulling her closer.

"How far?"

"Do what we can!"

Gunther channeled his emergency mana reserves.

"Teleport!"

Just as Gwen and her companion reappeared a kilometer away, a whirlpool began to form above the dark sun.

As if sensing imminent danger, thousands of tendrils emerged from its surface, moving to stop the rapid decline of the primordial force that was advancing towards it.

A serpentine head emerges from the vortex and becomes a reality as it moves downward with the heavy, unstoppable force of a natural disaster. Its scales shimmered, casting rainbow hues over the dark landscape, illuminating the dim light of the afternoon sky with dazzling colors. Then the rest of its body turned into matter, which stretched for several kilometers and stretched upwards until it disappeared into the stratosphere.

Almuji opened his mouth. Its jaw was open.

The dark sun hovered helplessly for a moment, gazing at the beginning and end of the universe.

From anywhere, Almugi's stomach was shrouded in a black sun.

Alicia moved in Gunther's arms, her eyes wide when she saw their new companion.

"Gwen?!"

"Alicia, you're hurt!"

As much as Alicia would love to talk to Gwen about when, where, how, and whom, she can't. Her attention was completely occupied by a fabulous vision of a kilometer-long sun devouring a fading sun.

"What..."

"It's the Rainbow Serpent," Gwen said gratefully, as Almuji had come to our aid. ”

"Does it have a name?" Alexia was surprised, and even the slightest effort made her cringe.

In front of them, Almuji was coiling around himself, coiling its massive form into a coil. It looks like it's adapting to a strenuous digestive process.

"I'm tired. Gwen heard Almuji's voice ringing in her head, accompanied by the sensation of soft, sinking mangrove foam.

"Rest now, Almuji," she said to the man who was about to appear, who was too big to hurt her eyes.

Gunther and Alesia both stared at Gwen, and Gunther's expression was more exaggerated than Alesia's. Gwen smiled shyly.

"Are you communicating with it?" asked Gunther panting.

Gwen didn't know what the correct answer was, but she trusted Gunther so much that she told him the truth.

"We are connected. She nodded.

Gunther blushed with fear. As a paladin, threats must be controlled. "Gwen, do you know what this is..."

Before Gonse could finish his astonishing applause, he was interrupted by two information spells blooming in his ears.

"Damn!" Gunther cursed to Dougwen, if you can communicate with the snake, tell it to leave immediately!"

"Wow-" Gwen was brought back by a sudden turn.

"Oh no," Alexia sang, weakly, beside Gwen. She also received her message. "Gwen, you've got to tell it to go right away!"

The trio suddenly found themselves in the shadows.

Above them, there is a tremor of space—a tear in the material layer.

There was a sound of the air shifting violently.

Two massive structures suddenly appeared, becoming reality by consuming an unimaginably large amount of crystal reserves.

The first tower to appear was Brisbane, led by the Grey Faction's battle mage, Mage Ferrin. Unlike the Sydney Tower, the Brisbane Tower is a green, towering modern structure made of deformed glass reinforced by a ribbon steel ring. From vines to palm trees to tall figs that grow between greenhouses, its entire appearance is flooded with plants.

The second to become a reality was the Melbourne Tower, one of the first towers to be built in Australia. Unlike Brisbane, its structure is a slender abbey with four elegant sandstone minarets that soar into the sky. Stained glass depicts heroic scenes that cover all aspects of the vaulted hall. Where other towers prefer height, the Melbourne Tower prefers length and girth, and it sits on a massive rock platform inlaid with magic, carved into stone, shaped like a sword. Its leader, Goodric Uther, was the maker responsible for overseeing the construction of the tower and shield station, and he was a veteran combat master of the warring factions.

"Wood, Uther, stand back!" called Gunther aloud.

This was a serious miscalculation by Gunther.

However, in the moment of chaos, Gunther's warning came too late.

Unsurprisingly, neither tower heeded Gunther's last-minute orders. Even if they heeded the paladin's warnings, the chain of command remained firmly in the hands of the headmaster of each tower.

Unlike the Sydney Towers, these flying fortresses were fully operational when they were built. On their decks and battlements, an entire roster of less than a thousand mages is stationed in their tents and spires, manipulating their engines, infirmaries, and machinery.

Soon, the intricate carved rings of the decahedron came alive at each spire at the top of the tower. The mandala is dozens of layers thick, activating a powerful confessional barrier that protects the tower's mages from external attacks.
