Chapter 17: The Dark Mage

The soldiers rushed at the mysterious man, shooting at him from time to time.

Beams of blue or red light shot at the mysterious man, but none of them hit.

Some of the thirsty dwarfs were picking up a glass of juice from the welcome seat next to him and taking a sip, and when he saw this, he was so frightened that the glass fell to the ground.

"Boss, the golden magic book has been robbed! "Hurry up!" the second dwarf shouted in a hurry, and a rapid magic rushed towards the mysterious man.

The second dwarf overtook all the pursuing soldiers and was swinging his fist at the mysterious man.

"Bang!" and the mysterious man vanished in a cloud of smoke.

The second dwarf almost lost his center of gravity and fell because he didn't have time to stop.

Because of the loss of the Golden Magic Book, the dwarfs were listless for several days, and they didn't even practice magic.

Seeing that the dwarfs were listless, the king promised to send someone to investigate, and to hand over the golden magic book to the dwarfs.

But the dwarfs were still unhappy, for they did not believe that the king would be able to recover him.

The dwarf, who had been depressed for a few days, still looked sullen, which made Gelf feel sorry.

"You can't go on like this! Don't you still want to destroy the oni pines!, how can you not practice magic!" said Cherph.

"Well, take your time!" said the dwarf boss, who was grilling a skewer nearby.

"Boss, you've burned all the lamb skewers!" said the second dwarf.

"Ahh

"Look at you!" said Gelf.

The dwarf boss ignored the pinch and was taking some new skewers from the pile of skewers next to him and roasting them on the iron rack.

"Do me a favor!

"Oh!" said the dwarf boss, after a few glances at the elf.

"In a nearby village, all the villagers were turned into a pile of bones overnight! This is a friend from the police station who asked me to help investigate! They said that the results of the on-site examination proved that it was not a human doing, and it could not be a wild beast!

"Oh, that's it!" said the dwarfs, excited by the novelty.

"Well, I can't see blood, I get dizzy when I see it, so please help," said Cherph.

"Which nearby village?" asked the dwarf boss.

"The village of Haishi Karad, which should be fifteen kilometers away from the Machine Country," said Cherf.

"Tomorrow, you're going in a car from the police station," said Cherf.

The next day, a police car pulled up in front of Cherf's residence, and several uniformed police officers stepped out of the car. Just as the pinch heard the voice, he led the dwarfs downstairs.

"Oh, it seems you're interested, dear Mr. Jeff, let's go!" said a half-bald sheriff.

"No, sheriff, I'm not going, I'll just let them go!" said Cherf.

"Ah, they, I don't think so!" said the sheriff, looking at the dwarf's short body.

"You can't judge people by their appearance! they're better than me!" said Cherf.

The dwarfs got into a police car and came to the scene of the incident, where they were in the village.

As soon as the dwarfs got out of the car, they smelled a pungent smell of blood, and they saw a corpse lying on the street with purple and black blood condensed in it.

Some of the bones were scattered on the balcony on the second floor, as if after a struggle. Some of the bones lay in the room, as if the deceased had gone through a painful struggle.

The dwarfs, wearing masks, approached the bones and found many gnawing marks on them.

"What else did you find at the scene!?" asked the dwarf boss to the sheriff who was explaining.

"We got the call! When we arrived at the scene as fast as we could, our officers caught an escaped bug on the ground that resembled the Great Tsuchimoto," the sheriff said, telling the man to pick up the bug that had been placed in the sealed plastic tape.

The dwarf boss took the plastic tape and looked at it, looking at the bite marks on the bones for a moment.

"Could it be that these worms have eaten these people!" thought to the dwarf.

"Maybe these bugs are criminals!" said the dwarf boss, pointing to the gnawing marks on the bones.

"No way! some bugs can eat people! They look like some big earth elements!" said the sheriff in disbelief.

"You're wrong! These aren't ordinary bugs! they've been demonized by metal! They feed exclusively on meat!" said the dwarf boss, tapping his finger on the bugs on his hand, and a loud metallic sound reached everyone's ears.

"This sound!" the sheriff snatched the worm from the dwarf boss's hand, put it to his ear, and tapped it in his ear, and a loud metallic sound came into his ears.

"These bugs can't be here for no reason! it must be for some reason!" said the dwarf boss.

"We found the earliest bones at the end of the street, and there were no trees at the end of the street! We also investigated the source of the bugs, and found that there were a large number of them in the forest of Chalbuda, thirty kilometers away from here," said the sheriff.

"Then let's go to the Charbuda Forest again!" said the dwarf boss.

"Click!" There was a sound of brakes and the door opening, and they came to the forest where the bugs were. The dwarf boss saw that the tall trees were crawling with insects that resembled the Great Earth Yuan, and they were sucking the sap of the trees. The whole forest is yellow, and the leaves are falling when the wind blows.

The dwarf boss grabbed a bug from a tree and knocked it, but he didn't hear a metallic sound, just a click like a worm's shell.

"It's man-made! it's not natural!" said the dwarf boss with a sudden realization.

Everyone present was amazed.

"No way! The village of Karad is too far from here! And who can take so many bugs to their destination at once! And we didn't find any wheel prints!" said the sheriff stubbornly.

"Then you can explain why those bugs are exactly the same as here, and they are not metalized here! These are demonized in the place where the incident occurred," said the dwarf boss.

The sheriff was speechless, as if he agreed with the dwarf boss.

"You can catch the criminal!" said the sheriff.

"Okay! Let's try, but so many people are in the way!" said the dwarf boss.

"Other officers, please leave!" the sheriff said.

"No, sheriff, you have to leave!" said the dwarf boss.

The sheriff's face was full of regret, and he flattened his lips and got into the police car.

The dwarf boss is flipping through a magic book, looking for magic that is easy to catch.

"Well, that's the magic!" said the dwarf boss.

"Boss, are you doing this?" said the second dwarf.

"This is no ordinary thread!" said the dwarf boss, tightening the thread tied to a bug and casting a soul-pulling spell on the thread.

The four dwarfs hid in a bush and waited for a long time, but did not see the criminals come to collect the insects, and then became a little bored.

"Boss, will he show up?" asked the second dwarf impatiently.

"Don't talk!" said the dwarf boss.

It wasn't until dusk that a mysterious man came out of a torn wormhole in another space, holding an open small box and sucking all the insects on the tree into the box. Maybe the threads are so fine that they go undetected. The other end of the thread was tied to the middle finger of the dwarf boss.

In the end, the mysterious man passed through the wormhole in another time and space, but the wormhole did not completely close and disappear, and there was still a slit in it.

I saw that the dwarfs were pulled by the silk thread and flew into the wormhole.

The mysterious man walked through the wormhole only to find that the wormhole was not completely closed in time, so he realized that something was wrong, and took a closer look and found the silk thread.

"Ahh

"It's okay! I think we're on another world," said the dwarf boss.

In this world, the sky is full of dark clouds, and there is no sunlight all year round. There are many valleys, but no rivers. There are numerous large stones on the flat ground, placed in one direction.

"Look, what's that, boss!" said the second dwarf, gesturing to one place.

The dwarf boss looked into the distance, a few strange rooms. The roof is a large chimney-shaped, which extends down in an arc to form the building.

Of the several buildings, only one was shining.

"It should be that house!" said the dwarf boss, gesturing to the shining house.

They hurried over and blew through the stone gate.

"It's the one who stole our golden magic book," the second dwarf looked at the mysterious man who was holding the experimental equipment.

"Hahaha! you're late!" said the mysterious man.

"Bang!" the mysterious man turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared.

"Not good!" said the dwarf boss, as if realizing something.

The dwarfs rushed out of the house, only to see a large pile of bugs crashing into some trees and disappearing.

"Boss, what to do! The bugs are being sent to eat people again, and we don't know where the bugs are going," said the second dwarf.
