Chapter 18: The Carpenter's Lie I
"I see, wherever there are trees, these bugs are passages!" said the dwarf boss.
"Boss, what are we going to do now?" asked the second dwarf.
"Look for the place where there are the most trees, and it's most likely to be the end of the bug," said the dwarf boss.
The dwarfs immediately went to the police station and asked the sheriff where there were the most trees nearby.
"Sheriff, do you know where there are the most trees!?" asked the dwarf boss.
"Why did you ask this question all of a sudden!?" said the sheriff, feeling strange.
"Because we almost caught the murderer behind it! Unfortunately, we didn't have time to stop him! There was about to be a batch of bugs that were going to eat people! We found that the trees were their passages. The dwarf boss said.
"Oh, so good!
"I'm going to ask the Forestry Department about where there are many trees!" said the sheriff, waving a police officer to call the Forestry Department.
The officer listened to the order and hurriedly pressed the phone button.
"Sheriff, there's a forest of Meyada a hundred kilometers away, that's the source of wood from Naxi," said the officer.
"Oh no! if that's the case!," said the sheriff, knocking on the table.
"Prepare the car!, let's go to Meydar Forest!" said the sheriff, as he prepared to go to the arsenal to get his gun.
"Click!" There was a sound of the car door closing, and the dwarfs and the policemen came to the location of the forest.
"Wow, boss, this forest is so big, it can be called a rainforest!" said the second dwarf.
"Of course, this is the source of timber for the whole of Naxi," said the sheriff, tweaking his hat.
"Who are you!, please get out of here!" said a group of men in green uniforms, walking briskly.
"Oh, it's the rangers, we're the Tasta police, and we're here to investigate!" said the sheriff, pulling out a badge from his body and giving it to the rangers.
"Oh, it's the police, but I don't have permission from above, and I ask you to leave, so as not to cause us unnecessary trouble!" said the forest ranger leader, returning his work card to the sheriff.
"Alright, let's go!" said the sheriff with a look of disdain.
"Isn't it just a group of forest rangers! what are you arrogant!" the sheriff thought to himself, glancing at the forest rangers.
After returning to the police station, the sheriff sat in his chair and thought for a while.
"So be it! You stay in Naxi to observe the situation! Report to me immediately if there is a new situation! The police department has no extra funds! Do you have enough money? When you complete the task, I will report to your superiors and give you a reward!" said the sheriff.
"No! we don't have any money!" said the dwarf boss.
"Okay! I seem to have some!" the sheriff searched his pockets, taking out only a little money and placing it on the table.
"Alas, every time my salary is deducted from my wife, this time I don't even have the money for drink!" thought the sheriff.
The dwarf went to a small town in Naxi and rented a shop to open a mechanical repair shop, as well as selling some metal objects made of it.
This way, you can make ends meet without having to spend your own money.
A mysterious figure was looking at the mechanical storefront, a look of anger on his face.
"I'm not going to kill you again," thought the mysterious man.
