Chapter Seventy-Two: The Rainbow Bridge

Magellan rushed out of the edge of the cliff on a headless black warhorse.

It was like a suicide, the horses ignorantly tried to run through the air, but they began to fall at a terrifying speed.

In front of it, the King of the Wild Hunt was galloping through the void.

Magellan waited quietly, knowing it wasn't a trap.

Then the black warhorse stopped falling.

In the sky, I don't know when the aurora appeared.

It was a miracle that could only be seen in the far north, and the whole sky was covered with bands of light, colorful and erratic, like some unknown powerful magic, brilliant and dreamy.

Now, Magellan is galloping on an aurora.

His mount followed the leader Odin, and on this green ribbon of light, two horses galloped wildly, as if charging towards the end of the world.

The ride was soon over.

After a sudden change in the aurora, Magellan found himself on the ground.

It was a beautiful coast with green meadows full of cattle. The blue water rushes to the shore, turning into a brilliant ribbon of light on the beach, and then slowly disappearing.

A serious warrior stood on the seashore, staring at the endless waves, for a moment.

The King of the Wild Hunt stopped in front of the white-skinned warrior.

The warrior was facing the two uninvited guests with the weapon in his hand.

Magellan's horse led him forward and came to the warrior, facing the eagle-like eyes.

Then beside him, Odin disappeared.

The Lord of the Wild Hunt, the Lord of the Divine Domain, the god who was able to make the guardians get out of the way, silently disappeared into thin air.

Magellan watched in amazement, and to his surprise, the warrior got out of the way.

In front of him is the realm of the gods, with golden grand buildings towering in the middle of endless green, and the palaces of the gods contain countless treasures, and their herds never diminish, this is the courtyard that Odin built for the beings above the mortals, this is Asyad.

Magellan began to move forward, and without urging his warhorse, he took his own steps, and the headless monster ran straight towards the depths of the divine realm as if he were walking on the steppe of his birth.

Walk through endless greenery, cross beautiful rivers, pass fruit-bearing fruit trees in the fragrance of flowers, and rush to the golden palace on a wide, flat avenue.

The destination of the War Horse is Valhalla, the most magnificent building in this divine realm, the abode that Odin built for himself, the place where countless heroic spirits gather, and the end of Valkyrie's journey.

If the gods of the Esyad were still there, then they would have feasted in this palace.

But Magellan had a bad premonition in his heart.

He needs Odin's help, science may be about to win, the mortal world is coming to an end, Magellan is chasing an illusory hope, he needs the help of the gods of Esyad, and Odin is the only one qualified to make a decision.

But the god-king was reduced to nothingness in front of Magellan.

When the horse stormed the Golden Palace, Magellan was finally convinced that his premonition had come true.

It was empty, dead silent.

Valhalla is definitely not supposed to be such a quiet place.

Odin was so scheming that he even tried to intervene in the war and frame the true warriors, and he sent Valkyrie day and night to collect brave spirits for him in the mortal world, so that these warriors could gather in Valhalla, the magnificent golden palace.

Here, warriors spend their days drinking, enjoying eternal paradise, honing their skills, and the palace is filled with shouts and laughter all the time.

But now, Magellan's eyes were empty, neat palaces, with a long table in the center of the palace lined up with gold cups and plates, spotlessly clean, wooden chairs empty, and wine glasses full of fine wine.

There is nothing here.

Magellan walked aimlessly towards the depths of the palace, and where he passed, the sound of footsteps echoed in the dead space, incomparably clear.

At the end of the Golden Palace, there is a tall silver chair, which belongs only to Odin, and when he sits there, the king of gods and the god of war can see the whole world.

Even now, Magellan still had a glimmer of hope that he could see the chair and the god-king on it at the end of the palace.

But he was eventually disappointed.

Odin is no longer here, and even the throne is gone.

"It can't ......"

Magellan began to think.

Then he began to fall.

Magellan was awakened by a sudden sensation, and then he opened his eyes to find himself standing on a high mountain in the middle of the island, with a cliff in front of him, and he was only one last step away from falling into the abyss.

"This is the ...... of the Wild Hunt"

Magellan turned to leave, and he had some guesses, but they still needed to be verified.

Then Brunhilde, riding on a war horse, fell in front of Magellan's eyes.

"It's incredible how a mortal can run faster than my mount. ”

Magellan looked at the Valkyrie and was a little surprised: "I was swept up in a wild hunt, didn't you feel the breath of Odin?"

Brunhilde looked at the mortal in front of her in surprise, and then she sighed helplessly: "I don't feel it at all. ”

"That's not normal, it's not normal," Magellan pointed to the cliff at his feet, "this is the entrance to the Divine Domain, across the Rainbow Bridge, you know, right?"

"Yes, I know ......"

Valkyrie looked up at the dark sky and remembered the distant past.

She once galloped across the splendid rainbow bridge, with Odin's orders, to find the true warriors and return with their heroic spirits, Valhalla was the eternal abode of the Valkyries, where they fought, lived, and awaited Ragnarok.

"I believe that there are survivors left among the gods, and Ragnarok must have been victorious for the gods, otherwise none of us would be able to stand here. ”

Magellan could only comfort Brunhilde in this way, even though he knew that words were so powerless.

"Let me see for myself if your guess is correct. ”

The Valkyrie couldn't take it anymore, she had gone through hundreds of years of captivity, shameful powerlessness, and the news that she had missed Ragnarok, and now, Magellan, had told her that Odin had passed in front of Brünnhilde, and she didn't realize it, and all of this was enough.

"I am Brunhilde, Valkyrie, Odin's handmaiden, the messenger, the leader of the Heroic Spirits, the knight of Pegasus, the ghost on the top of the Aurora, the keeper of the keys to Valhalla, I am the white wings that fly on the battlefield, I am the most beautiful scenery in the dreams of the brave, I am the Valkyrie, and now, if this gate leads to the Golden Palace, open it in front of me!"

Brunhilde raised his spear aloft.
