Chapter 70: Space Seizure
The second time they encountered the whales, everyone felt unusual.
All hunters who have ever looked for whales at sea know that only the luckiest boat can encounter two pods of whales in a single day out at sea.
The captain looked at the four guests on deck in bewilderment, he could not understand, but it was obvious that it was they who brought something that brought good fortune.
"The breath of the Runi script, but that can't be. β
Brunhilde looked at the fountain at sea, his face confused.
"I really didn't see the Runi script. β
In Magellan's eyes, the blindfolded saw that the three whales were several wonderful animals, their bones disappearing in the flesh and blood, and the golden color representing the vitality gathered in the heart, spreading and contracting with the frequency of the heartbeat.
"The whales are here, and if we follow them, will we be able to find green space?"
Professor Granger began to doubt their previous suspicions, and even if the ship could keep up with the whales going deep underwater, what about the Esyadians of the distant past?
"No, it's not about following the whale," Magellan retracted his gaze and looked up, "but what is hidden in this neighborhood by the magic of the ancient Esyad, and the experience of that ancient warrior may be just a coincidence, or maybe it is a painstaking arrangement by the gods, and we are different from him." β
"I can only feel the breath of magic when the whales appear, at least not here. β
The Valkyrie was on the verge of losing patience.
"Maybe not. β
Magellan burst out laughing.
He stretched out his hand and carved a runi script on the side of the ship.
That's the letter that represents the pathway.
"I don't think it's going to be useful. β
Brunhilde looked at Magellan and didn't know what he wanted to do.
"Go ahead," Magellan said to the captain, "the whale's head is to the west, and we are to the west." β
"As you wish. β
The captain shouted for the sailors to raise the sails, and soon the ship was moving.
"Do you think we'll be able to keep up with the whales?" Professor Granger believed Magellan, but he was also unconfident, and so far, there was no glimmer of hope, "I think you're right, it's not the whales' migration routes that matter, it's something hidden." β
"I have a guess, and soon we'll find out if it's right......"
In the middle of Magellan's speech, the ship suddenly rocked.
It's like the ship suddenly hits something, or a huge wave suddenly appears in the water, and then everyone realizes that the scene in front of them is rapidly receding.
When the dizzying sight of perverse thinking was over, an island appeared before their eyes.
It was a lovely green field, with towering mountain peaks in the distance, waterfalls cascading down, and whales breathing in the sea.
"What happened?"
Everyone froze, it took them a long time to come to their senses.
"We found green space. β
Everyone on deck turned to look at Magellan as if they were looking at a famous abstract painting, and their awe could not hide their bewilderment.
"Why?"
"It's magic, no one knows why, maybe it's the work of the gods, maybe it's a natural coincidence, the whales' swimming route around the island, forming a runi script, the letter means ......"
"Blockade!" Brunhilde looked at the whales in the distance, the same whales they had seen two times before, "but what is that magical breath?"
"Every time this ship approaches this island, you feel the breath of the runi script on the island, and then we see whales, because the space inside this runi script does not exist for us, so the whales will appear in front of us. β
No one understood what Magellan was saying, but nevertheless, everything in front of him proved that he was right.
"It's an illusion created by magic," Magellan knew the concept was not easy to understand, "in short, I carved the runi script representing the passage on the ship, and we could enter the blockade, and now, the green space was in front of us." β
"Forget it, it doesn't matter," Valkyrie was the first to give up thinking about the difficult puzzle, "let's go ashore." β
The sailors shook off their confusion for a moment, neatly helped the captain change direction, and soon the ship was on the shore of the island.
It's an ancient Esyadian territory, and from the coast to the island, it's full of what they've left behind.
There are long trestles and dilapidated boats rocking in the waves, and in the distance there are towering longhouses and stakes in the green meadows, among which once roaming goats.
"This is Esyad, the Frozen Courtyard, the Land of Mortals......"
Brunhilde breathed deeply, everything she saw, heard, and felt, telling her that this was her hometown.
But there are no more Esyadians here.
Magellan was the first to jump out of the boat, he walked from the beach to the shore and found the stake carved with the idol of Odin in the nearest building, but did not meet the owner of the house.
"It's been a long time since there was a human life here. β
Professor Granger quickly came to the conclusion: he had found rotten food in the kitchen.
Then they left the house, and Magellan returned to the shore and let the sailors move freely.
At the same time, Brunhilde got on the Valkyrie's horse and rushed out before everyone could react: "I'll look somewhere else." β
"I think maybe there aren't any Esyadians left here. Professor Granger sighed as he looked at Valkyrie's distant back, "That lady is going to be disappointed." β
"If I'm not mistaken, there are even more disappointing things waiting for her. β
"What?"
Magellan shook his head and said nothing, continuing towards the longhouse on the grass in the distance.
Just as Professor Granger had expected, it was an empty house.
"It's not the same where people live, I'm afraid it's been uninhabited for a while. β
"It's not just here, it's the whole island. β
Brunhilde suddenly appeared in the doorway.
The excited Valkyrie rode her mount all over the island, whether it was the Temple of Odin on the top of the hill or the longhouse on the green field, there was no one left behind in all the buildings.
"What the hell is going on?"
"I think it's because of Ragnarok. β
Magellan stepped out of the empty longhouse and stood in the doorway looking at the deep blue sea at the end of the green space.
"I know ......"
The Valkyrie let out a long sigh.
A long time ago, on the day she first met Magellan, BrΓΌnnhilde knew the news of the arrival of Ragnarok, and she missed the final battle.
