Chapter 288: Dragon Shadow (I)

"The signal is coming!" Wade screamed, jumping back to position behind Hubble.

He kept kicking the dragon's sides with his two legs, shouting - "Hurry up, hurry up!"

"Not so fast," Hubble said calmly, testing the Dragon Slayer.

"Hey, how do I steer?"

"You can tell me with the reins which direction you want to turn," Kesa looked at the take-off signal, finally coming.

"Oh! I see. Hubble bent down. "Looks like it's time for me to be in charge!"

"Of course, Your Excellency!" Quesa threw himself into the air, catching up with the hill they were on, the updraft on the side.

"Wait, reins—" Hubble shouted, the reins slipping out of his hand.

Quesa snickered, pretending not to hear.

Good dragons and knights assemble over the hills east of the Yiga Mountains.

Here, the warm winds of the north replace the cold winds of winter, melting the frost of the ground.

The air was filled with the aroma of new life and refreshment, and the dragons began to form an arc of attack formations.

It was a sight to remember for the rest of my life.

Wade knew he would never forget it for the rest of his life, and maybe not after he died.

Silver, brass, bronze, and copper-colored wings stretched out in the morning light.

The super-huge dragon slaying spear mounted on the dragon saddle reflected a dazzling gaze. The knight's armor shimmered, and the kingfisher banner embroidered with gold thread stood out against the blue sky.

The past few weeks have been composed by the notes of victory. As Hubble said, it seems that the Goddess of Victory is finally starting to beckon to them.

Golden Warlord: As her subordinates call her, she was formed from almost nothing.

The people of Recros excitedly responded to her call, and with her bold tactics and decisive actions, she earned the respect of the Sorenian Knights.

Lorana's ground forces, pouring out of the city of Recross, quickly crossed the Great Plains, and the dragoons, known as the Dark Daughters, fled in terror for the troops that had not yet gained a foothold.

Now, after a steady stream of victories, the dragon legions are fleeing before their eyes, and the war is almost considered to have been won.

But Lolana knows better than the others: they haven't fought the dragon forces of the Dragoons.

Where were they hiding?

And why didn't she come forward, neither Lolana nor her officers could figure it out.

Day after day, she had the knights and wyverns ready to take off.

The day of the decisive battle has finally arrived.

Sightings of the dragons have been confirmed: a mixed formation of red and blue dragons is heading west, ready to completely crush the outwhelmed general and her rabble.

The dragons, known as the Saint Whitestone Wyverns, formed a long chain of silver and bronze as they flew across the Solanian Plains.

Although every knight is trained to fly as much as time permits, except for the dwarves who are determined not to give in.

However, the clouds under their feet and the strong wind blowing in their faces were still very new experiences for them.

Their flags flew in the air. The hills of the ground looked to them like little bugs in the grass.

For some riders, flying is an exciting experience.

For others, it's a test of their mettle.

Lolana rode her brother from the Dragon Islands, and the huge silver dragon she brought with her brother was always at the forefront, leading them.

The sunlight could barely compete with the blonde hair that peeked out from under her helmet. To all, she and the dragon slayer have become a totem, slender and refined, beautiful and deadly.

They were willing to follow her, even if it was the gate to hell.

Wade looked over the dwarf's shoulder, and could see Lolana in front of him.

She rode in the lead, sometimes looking back to make sure each dragon, staying in formation, sometimes bowing her head and discussing with the mount.

It looked like she had everything in her hands, so Wade decided he could take it easy and enjoy the flight.

It was really the rarest experience of his life. As he looked at the ground with pleasure, tears ran down his cheeks.

The Kander people, who love this land, see a perfect map.

The vision beneath his feet is subtle, but absolutely precise;

Rivers and trees, hills and valleys, towns and farmland.

Wade wanted to trade everything he had for this sight, to keep it forever.

Why not?" he thought.

Holding the saddle between his legs, he let go of Hubble and began to rummage through his package. He pulled out a piece of paper and began to draw it all down with charcoal on the dwarf's back.

"Don't move!" he shouted to Hubble, who was still trying to grab the reins.

"What are you doing, big stupid?" shouted the dwarf, who felt Wade slap him like an itch on his back.

"I'm drawing a map!" Wade shouted in oblivion. "A perfect map, I'm going to be famous!

Here are our own troops, which look like little ants.

This is Minga Fort, don't mess around! You're making a mess of my map. ”

Hubble let out a helpless wail, giving up on the reins and getting rid of the Kander.

He decided to concentrate on holding on to the saddle and not spitting up his breakfast. He made the mistake of looking down.

Now he was staring straight ahead, his body trembling stiffly, the griffon's mane on his helmet, constantly slapping his face.

Birds fluttered under his feet. Hubble decided to add dragons to his list of items to avoid at all costs, in addition to boats and horses.

"Oh!" Wade gasped excitedly. "Down there is the Dragon Legion, which is fighting.

I can see it clearly. The Khandians bent down from the saddle and looked down.

Intermittently, in the wind high in the air, he could hear the clashing of weapons and armor below. "Hey, can we fly closer? I, wow, oh, my map!"

Kesa swooped down suddenly.

The wind blew the pieces of paper away from Wade's hands. He looked at the map in distress, flying farther and farther away like a leaf.

But he didn't have time to mourn, because suddenly, he felt Hubble's body become more stiff than before.

"What? "What?" shouted Wade.

Hubble yelled something and pointed ahead. Wade desperately wanted to see clearly, but at that moment they flew into a low-hanging cloud.

As the dwarves of the valley used to say, make the Kanders invisible to their noses.

Then Kessa flew out of the clouds, and Wade saw it.

"Oh my God!" said the Kander, in awe. At their feet, groups of dragons flew towards the troops they had just seen.

Their red and blue wings were like banners of evil, mercilessly pounced on the unsuspecting Golden General's troops.

Wade could see that the tight formation below was also vulnerable in the face of the evil dragon and began to collapse.

But there was nowhere to escape on the plains, for there was no shelter in this vast meadow.

Wade suddenly understood that this was the reason why the wyverns had been slow to attack, and the terrible sight of lightning and flames falling on the troops began to appear in his mind.

"We've got to stop—wow!"

Quesa suddenly swirled down, and Wade nearly swallowed his tongue.

The sky began to spin around him, and for a moment, the Kanders excitedly thought they were falling upwards.

Wade didn't have time to think, he acted purely on instinct, grabbed Hubble's belt, and suddenly remembered that he should tie himself to the saddle like Hubble.

Well, he'll remember next time.

If there is a next time. The wind roared beside him, and the ground spun as Quesa swirled down.

The Kander people love thrilling experiences. It was a valuable experience, of course, but Wade hoped that the next time the ground didn't get so close, "I don't mean to stop them right away!" Wade shouted to Hubble.

Looking up – or down?

He could see many dragons over their heads, no, under their feet. Wade felt his sense of direction begin to get confused.

Now all the dragons are behind them! They are on the front line, single-handedly! What is Hubble doing?

"Don't be so fast, slow down!" he shouted to Francisco. "You're at the front of the line!

The dwarves also want to slow down the dragon.

One last dive, letting the reins fall into his hands, he was now pulling the reins with all his might, shouting "Ride, Dragon, Ride!" and he only remembered that it seemed to work for the horse.

But in this way, I am afraid that it is of little use to the dragon.

For the frightened dwarf, discovering that he wasn't the only knight who couldn't harness the dragon didn't reassure him.

Behind him, silver and bronze formations seemed to split under a silent signal, and the dragons scattered into many squads;

Two or three form a group.

The knight tugged at the reins in panic and tried with all his might to pull the dragon back into its original neat cavalry formation.

But dragons are veterans in this area, and the sky is their territory. There is a world of difference between fighting in the air and fighting on the ground.

They'll let these guys on horseback learn how to fight on the back of a dragon.

Quesa spun gracefully and rushed into another cloud, and when the thick fog covered him, Wade immediately lost all sense of direction.

When the dragon broke out of the clouds, the sunny sky immediately appeared in front of him.

Now he knows which direction is the sky and which is the ground. The ground is in the closer direction!

Then Hubble started yelling.

Wade was taken aback and looked up, and saw that they were rushing straight towards a group of blue dragons who were about to chase the panicked infantry, and the other party did not notice them.

Now is the time to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. The team of the dragon legion broke through the thick clouds and launched an attack on the evil camp of dragoons.

Under the command of Luo Lana, the bronze dragon and others began to form a cone-shaped charging formation, rushing left and right in the red dragon team led by the dragoon.

An unusually difficult battle is in full swing.
