Chapter 101: Original Sin
Fallen angels are angels who have been expelled from the divine realm against the will of the gods and against the commands of the Father of the gods.
The Fallen Angels include Satan himself and the angels who follow Satan against the Titans. There are also many examples of reincarnated angels descending in the Church of Light in the Nether Realm and falling in love with a human woman.
At the beginning of the creation of the universe, God created angels as His helpers. According to God's will, angels carry out various activities in the human world, such as the movement of celestial bodies, the control of natural alternations, and so on.
However, some angels who are supposed to have reverence for God are trying to rebel against Him. Of course, God knew perfectly, so they were exiled from the heavenly realm and lived in hell. These "fallen angels" stand in the way of people's faith and become the source of "sin" on earth. Fallen angels lose their aura and possess materialized bodies.
One of the roots of the Fall is pride.
Lucifer was once the Titans' most admired angel, holding the position of archangel who rules over the other angels. The angel Lucifer, who possessed extraordinary power and was favored by the gods, was so confident in his own power that he was ignorant enough to think that he could take the throne of the gods in his place, so he led the other angels to rebel. But he was defeated, and he fell from the heavenly realm into the abyss.
The second root of the Fall is jealousy.
One of the reasons why Lucifer and the other fallen angels rebelled against God was out of jealousy, not pride.
The Titans created the angels, and then in the same way created the first human being, Adam. However, the Titans favor humans even more than the noble angels, placing them in a more superior position.
Therefore, Lucifer and some angels, dissatisfied with the favor of the gods for inferior humans, rallied together to launch a rebellion. This process is well documented in the Divine Comedy, with a monologue stating that Lucifer's reason for claiming to have betrayed God was out of jealousy of humanity and not pure pride.
The third root of the Fall is disobedience
When God created humanity, all the angels were told to obey this great Creator. However, the origin of angels comes from the purest divine fire, a powerful soul poured in the flames. Humans in the Nether, on the other hand, are created from ordinary clods of earth.
Therefore, most angels have always regarded humans as lowly beings, unwilling to bow their proud heads before them.
Lucifer, who was once the leader of the Seraphic Clan, was deeply loved by God. When God first created the angel, He was told that he could only honor God and be absolutely loyal to God—not to be subordinate to anything other than God.
However, the Titans seem to have forgotten their commands, so when God asked Lucifer to obey Adam, he was flatly rejected by the Seraph. Lucifer was banished to eternal purgatory by the divine realm for committing the heinous sin of blasphemy. Lucifer has taken on a new identity - Satan, the Lord of the Demon Realm. All the fallen angels who have been exiled harbor a hatred for the souls of human beings.
The fourth root of the Fall is lust.
Reincarnated angels were sent by the gods to the Nether Realm to promote the development of human civilization.
However, since the reincarnated angel has only half of the Godhead, the other half is human nature. Seduced by the charm of Adam's beautiful daughters on earth, he descended to earth to associate with Adam's daughters, despite God's prohibition. However, what really led them to tragedy was to teach the secrets of the divine realm that were forbidden to be leaked to the humans of the lower realm, such as the smelting technology of metal, the method of making houses, astronomy, and so on. The reincarnated angel was carried away by temptation and thus incurred the wrath of the gods.
The fifth root of the Fall is the pursuit of freedom
In order to manifest his wisdom, God created a group of beings that were very different from ordinary angels. This is exemplified by the Seraphs, a group of angels with free will.
And these angels with free will, in a sense, are equal to the status of God, because they have no necessary obligations to God.
Although such angels were created by God, they did not recognize God's superiority. Some of the angels chose to stay and did not leave the divine realm, while others descended to the mainland to become reincarnated angels, and those who landed farther became demons. The great prophet Dante once advocated such a statement. The origins of both humans and demons can be attributed to the divine angels. Just as angels can become humans, humans can also become angels in a special way, and even demons in the abyss can become angels, but the wings of fallen angels are cold and pitch black.
The fallen angels have become shadows under the light of the gods, living in the depths where the light cannot reach, and patiently waiting for the time to return to the divine realm!
At that time, darkness will reign over the world.
However, the great prophet Dante had a unique vision of the tragic fate of fallen angels.
Dante believed that the fallen angels did not act blasphemous, but were simply mandated by God.
God Himself is a symbol of light, and must be filled with the radiance of goodness, but in order for the light to appear more beautiful and dazzling, there must be darkness to oppose it. In order to glorify the existence of God, there must be a dark force to set it off. Therefore, a small number of angels unfortunately fell victim to this situation, and under God's direction, they went step by step into the abyss of depravity.
God is well aware of human nature, and in order for human faith to be firm and passionate, it is necessary to have a hostile force representing evil, so that the power of faith of believers will continue to be available to the gods in heaven.
This is why all the religions on the Starfall Continent unanimously claim that Purgatory is the root of all evil. Satan, the Lord of the Demon Realm, is considered to be the most evil of all.
Those who try to get to the bottom of the darkness will be burned alive at the stake!
In many cases, therefore, the unfortunate ones who are considered infidels are not really blasphemous, but have an undeserved interest in the forbidden realm. For humanity, who generally believes in the twelve main gods, this alone is enough to pronounce the death penalty.
Fallen angels have long been seen as messengers of evil thoughts, but the accounts are sealed in a dark chamber located beneath the Church of Light.
However, there is also a less evil being that is considered heretical, and it is they who open another door to magic.
And this group of mysterious cultivators can be traced back to the person who was once known as the greatest magician, Merlin!
