Chapter 100: Light and Shadow

Since Edward's death, the entire Lunaris Temple has been submerged by the sea. Brandon, who received the Godhead, did not leave any memories in the world, and returned to the divine realm to become a new member of the Seraphic Clan.

According to the Divine Comedy, the six wings of the Seraphs have different states - two wings cover their faces, two wings fly, and two wings protect their bodies.

And this subdivision behavior also has a corresponding explanation:

Two wings cover the face, symbolizing the angel's fear of God;

The two wings spread their wings and fly, symbolizing the diligent service of angels;

The two wings protect the body, symbolizing the sanctity of the angel.

The earliest record of Seraphim is in the Divine Comedy, chapter 17, verse 6, which refers to Seraphim, also translated as Seraphim.

The Seraphs are the highest of all the nine classes of angels, the angels closest to the Lord God, with a total of three pairs of wings.

The history of the Seraphs goes back to the ancient times when the creator God created the entire world.

The Seraph, known as Seraphim in the Divine Comedy, represents the highest combat power among the Holy Emissaries. The Seraphs, whose eyes are above all else, rarely engage in any kind of work in the divine realm, and their only mission in peacetime is to sing praises to God.

The Seraphs are the closest messengers of the Lord God and represent the meaning of "burning" and "snake" in the Quranic language. In ancient times, it was described as flying in the heavenly realm, resembling an organism of the gods, and was a messenger who could communicate directly with the gods.

The Seraphs are a group of pure idealists, and their souls have only two origins—the light of substance and the never-ending contemplation.

The Seraphs possess great majesty and prestige among all the angels and are known as the "elves of love and imagination". There are many theories about the commanders of the Seraphic Clan, and most of them are inseparable from such illustrious representatives as Ulla, Macbeth, Medanzo, and Gabriel.

In the Divine Comedy: The Divine Realm, it is stated that the Seraphs are a synthesis of the four sub-main god-level angels, corresponding to the east, west, south, north, or the four winds. The four archarchangels are Medanzo (formerly the position of the Demon King Satan), Ulla, Macbeth, and Gabriel, both of whom are archangels in charge of the Legion of the Divinity. Therefore, there is another theory that the Seraphs are a combination of these two archangels, and that the higher angels and the lower archangels are confused with each other, and this is not uncommon, especially from the two classes of the Seraphs and the wise angels.

The Divine Comedy deduces three possible explanations:

1. These four sub-primary angels (or two archangels) faded from the bodies of the lower angels before the throne of the main god and became seraphims without physical bodies.

2. The Seraphs are not real beings, but are another projection of the four major god-level angels (or two archangels).

3. The Seraph's body is formless and insubstantial, but it can be embodied into any life form. The Seraphs are not so much one of the angels as they are the "Godhead" peculiar to some angels, or some particularly brilliant angels, and the Seraphs are synonymous with their glory.

No one can describe the specific form of the Seraph, so it is generally believed that he is formless and incorporeal, creating new life through the vibration of his wings.

When it is necessary to appear in the human world, it often comes in the form of a human with six wings. Both the Church of Light and other religions on the continent describe it as having six wings and holding a flaming spear engraved with the praise of Sanctus (Quranic for "Keeper of the Light, gathering the faith of all") as a banner to command the lower angels.

In the ancient Starfall Continent, which was a time of war, Dante, known as the Great Prophet, had the privilege of catching a glimpse of the Seraph in front of the throne:

"I saw the Father of the Gods dwelling on the throne of God, and his garments woven of light fell at his feet, covering the whole temple.

Standing beside him was the leader of the Seraphs, Salaphim. Salaphim had six wings on his back – two to cover his face, two to cover his feet, and two to fly. In the midst of serenity, the Seraph softly chanted God's hymn: "God the Father, Lord of all, Creator of all worlds, the glory of the Titans will be immortal." ”

The Seraphs chanted and flapped their wings. Powerful and pure divine power poured out of Saraf's body, and even the foundation of the temple gate was shaken, and the temple was filled with ethereal clouds of smoke. ”

Since then, the Seraphic Angel has left behind the legend of the six-winged humanoid form. As soon as the Seraph's eyes opened, he let out a lion's roar like thunder and lightning, accompanied by a red electric light that streaked across the night sky—shaped like a giant dragon and moving like a long snake. The image of the Seraph became a devout devotee who served by the throne of God at all times, chanting psalms of praise all the time.

In Dante's magnum opus, The Divine Comedy, it is represented as a spirit draped over a peacock's feathers. The Seraph's Quranic slang is a portmanteau of the words "healer" and "Most High" (or guardian angel).

Therefore, snakes or dragons have been a representative of medicine since ancient times (some medical sites often use the symbol painted with two snakes intertwined around a rod).

The Seraph, a symbol of the raging flames, is the most skilled of all the angels and manages all the lower angels.

There are different types of angels – the Angel of Wisdom, the symbol of wisdom and truth, who guards the palace of the Lord God, and the Angel of Power, who is the angel who presides over miracles and the guardians who appear beside the very few great mortals who are reincarnated and ascended to the divine realm. A large number of angels constitute the main force of the angel legion, and are good at attacking and strategizing in war, while the archangels are responsible for the communication between gods and people, and become the medium of communication between the gods and the human world.

In the vast sea of millions of years of history, there was once an extraordinary Seraph, Lucifer, whose power even overshadowed the brilliance of the twelve main gods!

The fallen angel Lucifer went against the will of the Titans and doubted the intentions of the gods, so he formed an antagonistic relationship with the gods, and was called "the rebel who destroyed the world" in many religious texts.

The winner is the king, and the loser is the villain, which has always been an eternal truth. However, Lucifer and his Fallen Angels failed to emerge victorious in the battle against the Titans and were cast into purgatory by the Father of the Gods in the name of the Light.

As a result, Lucifer lost his sleek appearance and overlooking divine power, and struggled in the shackles of desire, making his last remaining dignity and pride an enemy of the divine realm.

The Titans created the entire world with their own hands, and everything should be subject to the Father of the Gods. The angels gather around the Lord God in heaven to receive instructions and carry out God's will, assist the gods in ruling the whole world, and sing praises of their merits.

Lucifer was once the Seraphim Seraphim who stood in front of the Titan Throne, and was also the most beautiful and noble of the angels. Lucifer was responsible for conveying the commands of the Father of the Gods, praising him and accompanying him—day after day, year after year.

There is no objection in the divine realm to the way angels are managed, no angels doubt each other, and there are no cruel wars.

——

One Day Titan overlooks all that is in order in the Nether, determined to create a new and unique creature. So he created the first human being, Adam, in his own form, and placed him in the Garden of Eden, between the divine realm and the nether realm, where he lived freely.

God then brought Adam to the temple and named him the "Messiah" and called the angels to bow down to him and swear to honor him forever. With a high faith in God, the angels did what they willed.

At this point, however, Lucifer hesitated.

Now that the angels are no longer free, they can no longer lose their dignity and pride.

In the face of the archangel's kind admonition, Lucifer politely refused: "I have served God for thousands of years, and in merit - I am above Adam;

I am a Seraphim, second only to the Lord God, and I am above Adam in terms of status;

I am the purest flame of all, and I am above Adam by birth;

I have the power of faith that is comparable to that of the Lord God, and I am above Adam in terms of power...... In that case, why should I worship him?"

When the haughty Seraphs stood in front of Adam, Lucifer flatly refused to bow down to him, and even the angels behind him refused to bow down to Adam. Faced with the Seraphs who disobeyed the order, the Titan once again issued a decree, hoping that Lucifer would obey the order.

However, in the face of the majesty of the Titans, Lucifer still chose to disobey. He could not abandon the pride in his heart and the dignity of being an angel. He couldn't stop himself from being jealous of Adam, the child who had received the favor of the Father of the Gods for no reason.

More importantly, he longed to have the right to be free, and he longed to touch the vast sky beyond the divine realm.

He didn't want to see his brothers and sisters fall on their knees in front of a lowly human being.

Once you disobey the Holy Command, there is no turning back.

Lucifer's thousands of years of devotion to God were also in vain, and the Seraph's heart could not help but have mixed feelings, which finally condensed into a deep resentment imprinted on his soul.

He eventually chose to renounce his belief in the gods and led his angels to the Nine Heavens, where he looked up at the land of the gods as a way to banish his inner apprehension and fear.

The Seraph straightened his back, stretched out the six huge wings behind him, and officially declared war on God. God ordered the archangel Michael to lead the angel group to meet the battle, the archangel Gabriel sounded the horn of war, and the angels who were brothers and sisters in the past are now facing each other with swords, and for their respective beliefs, they launched an unprecedented tragic battle in front of the entrance to the divine realm - the Gate of Heavenly Shadow.

Although the angel was a natural warrior, he could not compete with the gods after all, and Lucifer was defeated.

God created the Third Realm, Purgatory, and threw the Seraphs and his men from the sky into endless darkness. However, before Lucifer left, he uttered the words that resounded through the sky: "I would rather reign in the abyss of depravity than be a slave in the temple of light!"

From the Nine Heavens to the bottom of Purgatory, Lucifer fell for nine dawns and dusks, and finally became the Lord of the Demon Realm, Satan, and his subordinates also became the minions of the Demons.
