Chapter 55 Before the Big Purchase
Since Harry's birthday, Zhang Feng, Zhang Qiu, Hermione, and Harry have stayed at the Weasley house. Harry stayed in Ron's room, and Zhang Feng took out the tent he had used to camp in the Dark World and set it up in the expanded living room of Weasley's house. Because the space inside this tent is connected to different spaces, it is completely a three-bedroom and two-living room structure, therefore, Hermione, Zhang Feng and Zhang Qiu can all live. Zhang Feng also invited Harry, but Harry wanted to experience the life of a wizard, so he stayed in Ron's room.
For Harry, life in the Burrow was a world away from life in Privet Road. The Dursleys like that everything is in order, but the Weasleys are full of wonder and surprise. The mirror on the kitchen mantelpiece startled Harry. The first time he looked in the mirror, the mirror suddenly shouted, "Tuck your shirt into the waistband of your pants, sloppy!" The ghouls in the attic howled loudly and banged on the pipes whenever they felt that the house was too quiet. The small explosion in Fred and George's bedroom is believed to be completely normal.
Harry's fame in the wizarding world also affected the Weasleys' attitude towards him. Mrs. Weasley mended his socks and forced him to refill them four times per meal. Mr. Weasley liked to have Harry sit next to him during meals, and asked Harry about the lives of ordinary people, asking him what was going on with the plug and the post office.
About a week after arriving at the Burrow, on a sunny morning, they received a letter from Hogwarts.
It's still September 1 to catch the Hogwarts Express at King's Cross Station. There is still a long list of purchases. Second-graders read: "Standard Spells, Level 2", "Breaking with a Female Ghost" by Miranda Goshak, "Traveling with a Ghoul" by Gilderoy Lockhart, "Vacation with a Dominatrix" by Gilderoy Lockhart, "Walking with a Troll" by Gilderoy Lockhart, "Traveling on a Boat with a Vampire" by Gilderoy Lockhart, "Wandering with a Werewolf" by Gilderoy Lockhart, "A Year with a Tibetan Yeti" by Gilderoy Lockhart, by Gilderoy Lockhart.
Fred and George's book list was also a bunch of Gilderoy Lockhart's books, and even Ginny's, who had just received her admission offer.
"The new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher must be his admirer?? Maybe it's a witch. Fred said.
"I think it may be Gilderoy Lockhart himself, because according to the general reasoning logic of 'whoever is profitable, who is the most suspicious', he himself is the most profitable, he can sell a lot more books! And his books are so expensive!" Zhang Qiu listened to Fred's words, and looked at Mrs. Weasley's "Gilderoy Lockhart Teaches You to Rid of Household Pests" in the most conspicuous position on the mantelpiece with a disgusted look, and then said.
Mrs. Weasley listened to Zhang Qiu's words and said, "If it was really him who taught you Defense Against the Dark Arts class, I would be relieved." He's a powerful mage, just look at the books he wrote. But his books are so expensive! I think Ginny has a lot of stuff that can only be bought second-hand. ”
"Mrs. Weasley, I want to ......."
"Wind, I know what you're going to say. But raising children is my business and Molly's business, and if you help us all the time, Ron they will become dependent on your help, which is not good for them. Mr. Weasley interrupted Zhang Feng before he could say anything he wanted to help.
"That's right, we've sent six children to Hogwarts, two have graduated, and Bill is proud of him for having 12 distinctions in O.W.Ls exams and serving as President of the Boys' Council. I think we have the power to make my children's lives safe and happy. Mrs. Weasley replied.
Even the sensible Ginny overcame the nervousness of eating at the same table with her idol Harry Potter, and bravely said, "Wind, it's okay, I think I should use some second-hand things, after all, it's a Weasley tradition, isn't it?"
Ron looked at his second-hand goods, and then sighed, "That's right, wind, Weasleys who don't use second-hand goods are not good Weasleys, after all, we are a disgrace to the pure-blood family!"
"Okay!"
Harry didn't speak. He felt a little embarrassed. The meagre amount of property his parents had left him was in the underground vault of Gringotts, which was only enough for him to graduate from Hogwarts, and not much extra. Of course, his money can only be used in the wizarding world, and you can't buy things in Muggle shops with Galleons, Sico, and Nat. Harry never mentioned his savings at Gringotts to the Dursleys, believing that while they were afraid of all things magical, that fear probably wouldn't extend to a whole bunch of gold coins.
