Chapter 54: Zhang Feng's Gift to Harry
Harry was a little stunned when he heard Zhang Feng's words. Ron saw the look that Zhang Feng gave him, and led Harry to the room that had been prepared for him.
They left the drawing-room, walked through the narrow passage, and came to an uneven staircase. The staircase twists and turns, and the fifth-story staircase faces a peeling paint door with a small sign reading "Ron's Room".
"The room is limited, you and I have been staying in my room for the past few days, don't dislike it!" Ron said with a smile on his face, a little red.
Harry walked in, the sloping ceiling almost touching his head. He felt a little dazzling, as if he had walked into a large stove: everything in Ron's room looked a dazzling orange-yellow: the bedspread, the walls, even the ceiling. Harry then discovered that Ron had covered almost every inch of the shabby wallpaper with posters, all of which depicted the same seven witches and wizards, dressed in bright orange-yellow robes, carrying broomsticks, and waving happily.
"Looks like you like the Chadri Artillery Corps!" Harry sighed.
Ron's magic textbooks were piled up in the corner of the room, and next to them were comic books, all of which seemed to be The Adventures of Mad Muggle Martin Miguez. Ron's wand rests on a large fish tank on the windowsill with many frog eggs. His gray-haired chubby mouse was lying in a patch of sunlight by the fish tank, snoring.
Harry stepped over a deck of self-shuffling cards on the floor and looked out the window. He saw a group of goblins sneaking into Weasley's hedges, one by one, in the field below. Then he turned around and found that Ron was looking at him a little nervously, as if waiting for his evaluation.
"It's a little smaller," Ron said hurriedly, "not as good as the one you had in the Muggle house." Above me is the attic, and there is the ghoul living in it, and he is always knocking on pipes and humming." But Harry smiled happily and said, "This is the best room I've ever seen." Ron's ears were red.
"Well, the letter just now may have overwhelmed you, I think the gift that Feng Zhang just gave you should be able to help you, he just told us! Ron hurriedly changed the subject.
Harry took out the long box that Zhang Feng had just given him, untied the ribbon tied to it, and removed the lid of the box, and inside lay a new staff that was much more gorgeous than Harry's wand: it was 30 centimeters long, the lower 2/3 part was the handle, and the top 1/3 was a silver spherical crystal.
"Oh, this is the legendary orb. Ron screamed at the sight of it.
"Orb?"
"Well, the legendary wizard didn't use the staff we use today, but the orb or baguette, which was powerful and didn't have a wand core, so there was no such thing as choosing a wizard. ”
"Then why not now?"
"I don't know where Wind Chang got it?" Ron fiddled with the orb and handed it to Harry, saying, "You can try it and use it well, the Ministry of Magic can't monitor it, so you can practice magic outside of school." ”
Harry listened to Ron's words, picked up the orb, pointed to the quill in front of him, and read, "Wingardium Leviosa".
The quill fluttered, floated, and succeeded!
Harry felt that holding the orb made him save mana even more, but the mana seemed more manic and difficult to control.
"Even if I return to the Dursleys, I can use it to protect myself. ”
"Harry, I'd love to say yes, but because the Dursleys are in a common people's quarters, the Ministry of Magic should be able to detect when there are large fluctuations in magic there. In addition, the magic that can have an effect on people is generally a magic that fluctuates a lot. So, when you go back to Dursley's house, the Ministry of Magic should be able to detect it if you use magic that works on people. ”
Harry listened to Ron's words, and his excitement was like being poured with cold water.
