Chapter 40: The March of Death (4)
The two heroes led more than 500 warriors to the cover of trees and rocks, walked and stopped, and finally climbed to the valley of waterfalls from the side.
To their surprise, there were also vigilant undead troops stationed on the top of the cliff.
"Oh no! When did they climb up? Didn't we scout half a month ago?" said one of the heroes quietly.
"It seems that their commander discovered this omission...... Do we need to report to His Royal Highness the Prince?"
"It's too late! We must launch an attack within the scheduled time! Let's see the situation first, and if we can solve it ourselves, then we will do it ourselves! His Royal Highness the Prince will not be able to summon the strength to help us, and their situation is even more dangerous than ours!"
They crouched low among the bushes and rocks, observing the cliff tops.
A group of vampires are huddled in the shade at the top of the cliff, escaping the direct rays of the sun. Their eyes are half-open and half-closed, and they squeak from time to time.
There are about two hundred of them...... This should be two squadrons of vampires!
"Use a bow and arrow, if you're lucky, you can kill two with one arrow!" said one hero.
"We can't let any of the vampires fly, or the enemy below the cliff will find out about our plan of action!"
"More than 500 arrows are all fired at such a small place, I dare say that the first round of attacks on them will be all over!"
"Wait, I haven't seen their commander yet...... It stands to reason that they should have two commanders in command, right?"
"Where the hell are they hiding and sleeping in such a poisonous sun!fuck, why are there so many ants and bugs?" a hero couldn't help but touch his neck, and the remains of a large black ant immediately appeared between his fingers, and the neck was already red and swollen.
"You tell everyone to endure no matter what...... I'm staring here, and as long as they don't turn to stone, I'm sure I'll be able to spot them!"
The hero prostrates, telling every warrior around him about the demands and plan of action, and asking them to pass it on.
"Did you find it?" He returned a moment later, prostrate beside the observer.
"Look at my finger...... They're right there!"
With a "snap", a black figure rolled over from the ground and climbed up. His palms kept rubbing between his neck, and he was scolding, "Fuck, am I still the commander of a vampire squadron? Even these abominable little bugs dare to suck my blood!"
"That means the little bug is stronger than you!" teased the shadow's side, but he was still lying there.
Sit up, sit up! The heroes prayed in their hearts. The Ebony Crossbow is in their hands, and as long as you kid dare to sit up, you won't have to worry about bug bites again!
"I can't stand it anymore! My responsibility is to fight, not hide here and feed the bugs!"
"Go tell the commander! he should be a relative of your family by blood!"
"Distant relative!" the dark shadow muttered to his feet, pulling out the big bird from his crotch.
"Fuck, you're peeing on my feet!" another dark figure immediately bounced off the ground.
Two crossbow arrows flew away, followed by a large group of arrows pressed by the black press! Behind the arrows was a large group of warriors flying away with swords!
No one shouted, everyone was cutting melons and meat silently!
In the first round of shooting, the two squadrons of vampires huddled together suffered most casualties! The remaining vampires dragged their injured bodies on the ground and were half-dragged and half-dragged to take off, but they ran into bright swords head-on!
"What a stupid pig commander!" one hero wiped the bloody sword in his hand over the necromancer's body, not forgetting to kick him!
"We have to thank this stupid pig!" another hero laughed, "If they hadn't killed so many vampires, our actions would have been thwarted!"
"Fortunately, we have a wise commander! at least we will die in battle, not in a mess!"
"We're not going to die! I'd like to have a few more children!"
"I have an idea: tie these corpses with dead branches and hay, and then set them on fire and push them down, I dare say they won't go out all day!"
"That's a good idea! Looks like we're just going to need to find some more rockfalls!"
"We need to hurry! The undead are not afraid of the dark, and once it gets dark, we will suffer!"
At the foot of the mountain, Roland's crack squad is progressing well. They had unwittingly killed the sentry and were now hiding in the bushes, staring at the top of the cliff.
Wait, wait, wait...... I dare say the hardest thing in the world is waiting! Everyone is muttering in their hearts: Damn, haven't you got it done yet?
The flaming fireball finally fell from the top of the cliff along with the falling rocks! A raging fire broke out at the mouth of the valley, and the undead stationed at the mouth of the valley were in chaos!
"Rush!" Prince Roland leaped from the ground and rushed into the flames!
"Oh, aren't they done with the stones? Oh no, the rockets are coming again! Do they want to kill us together?"
"Don't talk too much! Look at the nod, don't die here!"
"Don't fall in love with the war!" came the voice of Prince Roland from the fire: "Target: a small cabin on the hillside, quickly settle the battle!"
Invincible, the fierce lions burst out of the flames and swooped down on the cabin.
The strong bow and crossbow were held in their hands, and one or two necromancers who had just rushed out of the wooden house immediately fell under their arrows!
The heroes kicked a few times, and only three walls were left of those wooden houses!
"Lay down your arms! or I'll kill you at once!"
"Kill us, and you won't survive!"
Prince Roland immediately cut his throat with a sword!
"Is there anyone else ready to resist?!"
Under Prince Roland's fierce gaze, the necromancers lowered their heads.
"Who's your head?"
"Our commander is not ......here," a necromancer said in a trembling and horrified voice.
"Well, who's the highest status you have here?"
"It's her!" the necromancers all looked at a trembling figure in the corner.
"She's just a little girl!
"Indeed, it's her! she's a disciple of the vampire king Drokul, and she's the most noble!"
"Really?" Roland sneered, holding the man's chin with the tip of his sword, forcing her to her feet.
Strange, how could those big eyes look so familiar? Roland picked the tip of his sword, and the girl's veil fell to the ground.
"Ahh
Jasmine lowered her head and trembled all over, like a child who had done something wrong.
"Jasmine, Her Royal Highness and I trust you so much, I didn't expect you to be a spy!" Roland snapped.
"I'm not a spy!" Jasmine raised her teary eyes and said loudly, "I didn't betray Her Royal Highness the Princess, and I didn't do anything to be sorry for you and Her Royal Highness!"
"But you're a necromancer......"
"My parents are ordinary grave keepers, not necromancers!!!
"I don't want to argue with you!" Prince Roland said coldly, "I ask you, can you represent them?"
"Yes, yes!" said the captured necromancers.
"I'm so ashamed of you!" Roland spat indignantly, "So you can pass all the blame to her, won't you?" well, then I order you to immediately lead all the remaining undead warriors to withdraw from the valley, as far as you want!"
The necromancers didn't squeak.
"Well, if you're all going to be responsible for me, then I'll be responsible!" Jasmine pushed away Roland's sword pointing at her and said loudly, "Do it, you people!"
There was a mess outside the door. Terror knights, vampires, and ghoul kings are hunting down captives in the fence, and some are trying to storm the hillside.
"Immediately!" the necromancers' backs or throats were quickly pressed against their swords!
They began to chant undead spells. The rioting undead warriors fell silent.
Shooting has stopped at Taniguchi. The necromancers chanted, summoning arrows of ice and forging a path through the fire.
The undead warriors began to withdraw out of the valley with neat steps.
"What are you going to do to me, Your Highness the Prince?" Jasmine looked up, trying not to let the tears roll down: "A sword to cut my throat, or throw me into the flames?"
"You...... Alas, come with them! don't let me see you again!" Roland withdrew his sword.
"Thank you...... I'll try to take them far enough......" Jasmine wiped the tears from her cheeks: "Your Royal Highness, can you ...... Can you not tell Princess Catherine about me?"
"I'm sorry, I can't!"
"Oh...... Could you please ...... Please say hello to her on my behalf!"
Jasmine ran down the hill, tears falling on the grass.
Looking at her thin body, Prince Roland couldn't help but sigh. He turned to the generals and said, "This place cannot be left for long! Immediately rescue the wounded, bury the dead, tell them to throw away all their belongings, and move with us immediately!"
Jedt led a large group up the hill.
"You've done a good job, Jedt!" said Prince Roland, who hurried up to meet him, holding his hand tightly.
"I'm just doing what a veteran does, Your Highness!"
"Thank you! It is my greatest honor to have such a brave soldier as you!"
"I am also honored to be able to fight alongside His Royal Highness the Prince!"
Two large calloused hands clasped tightly.
"These are the ones who can still pick up swords! They're all weak now, but you should be able to use them!"
"Of course I need them! Give them orders to find a decent weapon on the battlefield...... As for you, Jedette, please get down on your knees!"
Jade got down on one knee and hung her head down.
Roland drew his sword, which was still stained with blood. He placed his sword flat on Jedette's shoulder and said, "In recognition of your outstanding exploits, I, Roland, Prince Dia, in the name of Crown Prince Dia, make you Lord of the Valley of Falls, and lead my army of the Valley of Falls!"
"Thank you, my prince, my commander-in-chief!" said Jedt, kissing the bloody blade.
"Get up now, lead your legions, and cover the retreat of the survivors towards the Silver Horn!"
