He chose Flag Hill, not far from his home, where he knew there was a hardened path leading to the top. The first time, he took his wife to the foot of the mountain, but was charged a toll of 2 yuan - the road was built at the expense of a farmhouse on the mountain, and someone went up the mountain to collect money.

After walking a few times, Tuo Benzhi felt that it was not cost-effective, and suddenly an idea came to him: build a road for his wife to go up the mountain!

In the spring of 2005, after retirement, he bought a steel drill and a shovel, and every morning at dawn, he took his wife to the foot of the mountain, working from morning to noon. Starting from the fence behind the original county detention center, he wants to build a mountain road among the thorns!

Half a year later, Tuo Benzhi chiseled several steel drills, and the simple mountain road was finally completed, with a total of more than 600 steps, bypassing the "toll station" of the farmhouse and successfully connecting the original road up the mountain.

Along this mountain strip, Gong Jinghua's body gradually recovered.

After the construction of this no-toll road, there were more people coming to climb the mountain in Pengshui County. Soon, Hanjia Town, where Pengshui County is located, decided to harden this mountain road built by Tuo Benzhi at the expense of the government.

The vertical height of Flag Hill is more than 300 meters. Today, there are a total of 1,065 stone stairs from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, and nearly half of them are roadbeds built by Tsumotoshi. And the "Yugong" Tuo Benzhi has become a volunteer sweeper of this road.
