Chapter 157: Assassination
readx;??? When Zhang Jiashi and his party arrived at the outskirts of the village that were scheduled to be inspected, Zhang Jiashi did not notice that there was anything wrong with this village. Pen Fun Pavilion wWw. biquge。 info (web)
But for those who live in rural areas, they frown slightly.
He walked up to Zhang Jiashi's side and said to Zhang Jiashi: "Your Majesty, there is something wrong here. ”
Zhang Jiashi heard the words of the judge and knew that the judge would not say such a thing for no reason, and he said, "Can you be sure?"
"Not yet, but for the safety of the king and His Majesty, I hope to bring a few people to investigate before making a decision. ”
Although he saw some problems, he did not arbitrarily state his judgment, but put forward the idea to Zhang Jiashi that he needed to confirm it before he could make a conclusion.
Zhang Jiashi thought for a moment and nodded: "That's fine, Lieutenant Inspector, you can take a few good hands to investigate, if you find that things are dangerous, try not to fall into danger." ”
"Whew!" Judge Shiqi, who was holding a sword in both hands, quickly clenched his fists to Zhang Jiashi and promised.
And Fan Hao and Yu Yong, who saw this situation, also secretly ordered their personal entourage or their subordinates to protect several carriages.
......
Judging Shiqi brought a few swordsmen to this village, because it was a farming slack at the moment, and the village did not seem to be busy.
But the place where he senses that something is wrong is here, after all, no matter how free he is, the village should be more lively.
After all, it is clear to the judge himself that this year is not a disaster year for Guanzhong or most of the Great Qin Empire, and even the Guanzhong region can be said to be a year of increased production. So in this case, this rural area should also appear to be popular.
The village was too peaceful, and it was found that there was not a single old man, woman or even child in the whole village, except for a few young people.
"There's a problem!"
Judging his heart, he felt more and more that he felt that his original feeling was very correct.
And unbelievably, he actually found that he saw a very familiar person.
And in this place, when I see someone I am familiar with, there is only one possibility, that is, the other party is very likely to be from Peixian.
He didn't remember who this person was for a while, but he soon noticed that the other party seemed to be secretly looking at him, and then he took a few steps back in horror.
And after seeing this person's full face, he knew who this acquaintance was.
"Walk !! !! Teeth"
After calling out the man's name, he quickly ordered the swordsman beside him to leave with him.
And after hearing his name, Yongya quickly said loudly: "We are exposed, do !!"
Yongya knew very well that after being interrogated and his identity was discovered, what was waiting for him would be the Great Qin Empire's Great Suo World.
Even if he hadn't been killed here, then in the years to come, as long as the Great Qin Empire hadn't fallen into civil strife, it was very likely that he would have been able to spend the last years of his life in incognito.
After all, the Great Qin Empire's great rope world can be said to be extraordinary.
......
For example, in the twenty-ninth year of Qin Shi Huang, Zhang Liang led the wrestler to assassinate the first emperor in Bolangsha, and mistakenly hit the deputy car, Qin Shi Huang was furious, "It is to make the world Dasuo ten days."
Dasuo Ten Days is the meaning of vigorously searching for Zhang Liang and other assassins in the whole world.
However, considering the time when the order was delivered, it was likely that the search for the entire territory of the Great Qin Empire would last for a month or even longer.
In the same way, there is also a relevant record from the "Historical Records of Qin Shi Huang Benji": "In December of the thirty-first year, the name was changed to "Jiaping". Give six stone rice and two sheep in the head of Qian. The first emperor is a micro line Xianyang, with the samurai four people, the night out of the thief Lanchi, see the embarrassment, the samurai kill the thief, Guanzhong Dasuo 20 days. ”
There are many examples of Dasuo Tianxia in history, and the more famous one is Zhu Di's allusion to Tang Sai'er's Dasuo Tianxia:
The "History of the Ming Dynasty" and the miscellaneous notes of the Qing Dynasty on wild history record that in February of the 18th year of Yongle, Tang Sai'er gathered thousands of White Lotus disciples in his hometown of Potai (now Binzhou, Shandong), and raised up against the imperial court with the red and white flags as the name.
This peasant uprising in Shandong, because of its small scale, short duration, and did not shake the Ming Dynasty regime, is not even recorded in history textbooks, but the emperor Zhu Di at that time was "very shocked", not only sent 5,000 elite men and horses from the "Beijing camp", but also used the army that was "resisting the Japanese" on the coast of Shandong to suppress this peasant uprising.
Why is Zhu Di so excited?
According to later estimates, there are three main reasons:
First, the uprising occurred on the eve of the "relocation of the capital to Beijing", and the uprising under such circumstances may have a profound impact on the "relocation of the capital to Beijing", and Zhu Di will never allow any chaos at such a time;
Second, the rebel army relied on the "White Lotus Sect", and the followers were desperate for Tang Sai'er, and they obeyed his orders, and Zhu Di would never allow the "cult" to bewitch the people;
In fact, in addition to Zhu Di, many dynasties and emperors used force to suppress the White Lotus Sect.
This is mainly the situation that has evolved after the teachings of the White Lotus Sect have been distorted.
White Lotus, a Chinese folk religion. The White Lotus Society, or Lotus Society, is presided over by both monks and lay believers.
During the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty, Mao Ziyuan (legal name Cizhao), a monk from Kunshan (present-day Kunshan, Jiangsu) in Wu County, founded a new sect on the basis of the popular Pure Land Association, called the White Lotus Sect, that is, the White Lotus Sect.
Roughly the same as the Pure Land sect, Amitabha Buddha is worshipped, and believers are required to recite the Buddha's vows (not to kill, not to steal, not to commit adultery, not to lie, and not to drink) in order to be reborn in the Western Pure Land. Mao Ziyuan used the Tiantai religious theory to draw the "Harmony of the Four Lands and Three Views of the Selected Buddhas", using Buddha statues, graphics and metaphors to explain the height of the Buddha's land, simplifying and unifying the Buddhist recitation and confession rituals made by his predecessors, and producing the "White Lotus Morning Dynasty Confession Ceremony". In the previous Pure Land Association, the participants were only slackened members of the society, and the society did not belong to each other. Mao Ziyuan changed it to a master-apprentice teaching and a sect. He built a White Lotus Confession Hall at Dianshan Lake, proclaimed himself a teacher, sat and worshipped, and stipulated that his disciples should be named after the four characters of "Pujue Miaodao", thus establishing a relatively stereotyped sect.
The early White Lotus Sect was officially banned, and Mao Ziyuan was exiled to Jiangzhou (present-day Jiujiang, Jiangxi). However, it was spread because of the simplicity of the teachings and the simplicity of the practice. Until the late Southern Song Dynasty, although it was still regarded as a "demon ****" by some local officials and Buddhist monks who regarded themselves as orthodox, it had been passed on everywhere, and even spread to the north under Mongolian rule. After the unification of China by the Yuan Dynasty, the White Lotus Sect was recognized and rewarded by the imperial court and entered its heyday. Lushan Donglin Temple and Dianshan Lake White Lotus Hall were the two centers of the White Lotus Sect in the Yuan Dynasty.
The White Lotus Sect has formed a large number of professional believers with families, called the White Lotus Taoists. Because he is "a monk at home", he does not shave his hair and does not wear monk's clothes, and he is also known as a Taoist or a monk with hair. In the Yuan Dynasty, the hall nunnery composed of the white lotus Taoist people spread all over the north and south, and there were thousands of disciples who gathered in the hundreds, and there were dozens of few, and the scale could be compared with the Buddhist temple and Taoist temple. The temple enshrines Buddha statues such as Amitabha, Kannon, and Dashi Zhi (collectively known as the Three Saints of Amitabha), praying for royal blessings and longevity, hosting Buddhist events for local communities, and also doing some good deeds such as building roads and bridges. Many of the temples own land assets, and the presiding officers often succeed from father to son, and the property of the hermitage is actually the family property of the presiding officer. Some leaders colluded with the government, befriended the powerful, and became a local tyrant.
After a long period of circulation, the organization and doctrine of the White Lotus Sect in the Yuan Dynasty have changed, the precepts are lax, and there are many sects. Some sects worship Maitreya Buddha and preach the religious proverb "Maitreya is born", which is originally part of Maitreya's Pure Land method. Some believers gathered at night to make trouble, and occasionally rebelled against the rule of the Yuan court. In the first year of the Great Dynasty (1308), the imperial court was afraid that the White Lotus Sect was too powerful and ordered it to be banned. After Injong's accession to the throne (1311), he was restored to legal status. Ten years later, however, Yingzong ascended the throne and his activities were restricted. As a result, the White Lotus Sect in many places was hostile to the government. In addition, most of its followers were lower-class people, so when the social contradictions intensified at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, some White Lotus Sect organizations became the first anti-Yuan forces. The leaders of the Red Turban Uprising, such as Han Shantong, Liu Futong, Xu Shouhui, and Zou Pusheng, were all White Lotus followers, and they used the prophecies of King Ming (i.e., Amitabha) to be born and Maitreya to be born, which had a great influence.
At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the White Lotus Sect was strictly forbidden. During the Hongwu and Yongle periods, there were many armed riots of the White Lotus cultists in Sichuan, Hubei, Ganlu and other places, and some of them were also called emperors, all of which were suppressed. After the middle of the Ming Dynasty, there are many kinds of folk religions, including Jin Chan, Wuwei, Longhua, Wukong, Huanyuan, Yuandun, Hongyang, Maitreya, Jingkong, Dacheng, Sanyang, Mixed Yuan, Wenxiang, Luo Dao and so on. They do not belong to each other, their doctrines are quite different, and their organizations, rituals, and activities are different, but they bear the imprint of the White Lotus Sect to a greater or lesser extent. The rulers believed that they were still in fact White Lotus Cults, and the folk also referred to them as White Lotus Cults in general terms.
Due to the large number of sects, the gods worshiped are extremely complex, including the Jade Emperor of the Heavenly Palace, the King of Hell of Hell, the sages of the world, and so on, and the most revered is still Maitreya Buddha. Since the Zhengde period, there has been a worship of the childless mother, and there is the so-called eight-character mantra of "vacuum hometown, childless mother". It is said that the lifeless old mother is an ancient Buddha who has no birth and no death in heaven, and she wants to return her earthly children to the heavenly realm to avoid calamity, and this heavenly realm is the vacuum home. Each sect has its own scriptures, called treasure scrolls, which are often preached to believers. The content is huge, but we can also see the influence of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism on them.
The White Lotus Sect in the Ming Dynasty had many followers, mainly from the lower classes. Each faction practiced paternalistic rule within itself, with dignity and orderliness and strict hierarchies. The composition of the chiefs is very complex, and the attitude towards the Ming court is also very inconsistent. Some deceived their followers and amassed money by promoting religion; some climbed to the upper echelons by writing scriptures to please the imperial court; some recruited followers among the court eunuchs and wealthy bureaucrats; and some launched an armed uprising in combination with the struggle of the lower classes against the government. For example, the Tang Sai'er Rebellion in the eighteenth year of Yongle (1420) and the Xu Hongru Uprising in the second year of the Apocalypse (1622) were all revolted.
During the Zhu Di period of the Ming Dynasty, the White Lotus Sect became a very chaotic Buddhist organization, as can be seen in Tang Sai'er's uprising.
Third, the ranks of the rebel army continued to grow, and the official army was repeatedly defeated, and Tang Sai'er ignored the court's recruitment, which disgraced the court and Zhu Di.
For various reasons, Zhu Di hated Tang Sai'er and frantically suppressed the rebels. Because they were outnumbered and suffered from the enemy, the rebel army only lasted three months before failing, but Tang Sayer's whereabouts are unknown.
In order to eliminate the resentment in his heart, in order to prevent the resurgence of the ashes, and in order to be able to make an example, Zhu Di ordered Tang Sai'er's whereabouts to be strictly investigated, but there was no progress in the search and arrest. The people couldn't find it, so Zhu Di decided to adjust the focus of his work and put the focus of the search for Tang Sai'er on Buddhism.
The reason why Zhu Di did this is because: First, in order to shirk the responsibility of the unfavorable search, the search and arrest personnel may use Tang Sai'er to enter the Buddhist gate to prevaricate Zhu Di. In the second, the disciples of Buddhism are far away from the world, and the government generally does not intervene, and Tang Sai'er is very likely to mix into Buddhism after his defeat;
According to the relevant records of the "Ming History Chronicle", Zhu Di was arrested because "Tang Sai'er has not been obtained for a long time, and he is worried about cutting his hair as a nun or a virgin female Taoist priest, so he ordered the law department to arrest the Beijing and Taoist stations in Beijing and Shandong".
As a result, Zhu Di ordered the nuns and female Taoist priests in Beijing and Shandong to be arrested and escorted to the imperial court for interrogation. In July of the same year, Zhu Di ordered Duan Ming to participate in politics for Shandong Zuo and continued to search for Tang Sai'er. In order to accomplish this task, Duan Ming not only searched and arrested all the nuns in Shandong and Beijing one by one, but even arrested tens of thousands of ordained women across the country.
"History of the Ming Dynasty" also has a simple record of Zhu Di's great search for the world this time: In February of the eighteenth year of Yongle, Tang Sai'er in Putai, Shandong Province rebelled, Tang Sai'er did not win, and he arrested 10,000 nuns in the world.
......
Judging from this situation, it is very likely that Dasuo Tianxia's order has no effect, but Yongya does not know this, and he also does not think that Zhang Jiashi will give up this kind of right that is somewhat unrealistic for him, so at this time, Yongya chooses to fight to the death rather than take the opportunity to escape when the outer escort team does not react.
However, what Yongya didn't expect was that he would pay the biggest price for this impulse.
And this price is the life of him and the remnants of the thieves who infiltrated the pass, including Ding Gong.
After Zhang Shixin heard the voices of the judges, Yongya and the others, he gently descended the red cloud, and then moved his hands and feet.
Because he suddenly had an idea, that is, since this kind of thing had happened, why didn't he see if his strength had increased in the past few years?
