In 3500 BC, a part of the Aryans entered Iran from the ancestral land of the Aryans in Central Asia, brought Aryan civilization technology, integrated with the local natives, and began to establish city-states on the east bank of the Tigris River. The Elamites are known as a warlike people and are the ancestors of modern Iranians.

Elam, which is actually another transliteration of Aryan, is also similar to the name of Iranian iran today. So the Aryans of Iran and the Aryans of India are actually Aryan civilizations. The Aryan civilizations (India and Iran) were around the same time as the Sumerian civilizations (Iraq and Egypt).

The Elamite was the earliest civilization of Iran, located in the valley of the Karun River and the two rivers that flow into the saltwater lakes of the Persian Gulf in the eastern part of the Tigris River (now dried up), in the Iranian provinces of Khuzestan and Ilam.

The Elamite language is called Elamite. Its writing was heavily influenced by the Sumerian civilization.

The earliest Elamite script is the proto-Elamite script of hieroglyphs.

From about 2900 BC, Proto-Elamite began to simplify and eventually evolved into syllabic linear script. Archaeologists have known more than 80 linear characters from stone carvings, pottery shards and silver bottles, which are usually written from left to right and from top to bottom.

In 1961, W. Sinz solved the mystery of linear writing. He started with a stone inscription of King Elam, which is in the Louvre Museum. The inscription is inscribed with two identical scripts, the Elaemic Linear Script and the Babylonian Cuneiform Translation, and the Babylonian Cuneiform Script has already been successfully deciphered, and it is with the Babylonian cuneiform script that Sinz made a major breakthrough in the interpretation of the Elamaic Linear Script.

Around 2300 BC, when Elamite was a vassal to Akkad, he learned Akkadian, a variant of the Sumerian cuneiform script.

Note that language and writing are separate, and the Elamite language remains the same throughout. It's like Cantonese people spell Cantonese with Chinese characters, and people who don't know Cantonese will be confused when they read the Cantonese spelled by these Chinese characters, but those who can do it will feel that the difference between the two is not very big. But there is a big gap in speech.

The Elamite people of the plains probably spoke both Elamaic and Akkadian languages, which is one of the reasons why cuneiform was able to spread smoothly in Elamite.

The Aryans established many tribes in the Elam region, which later developed into city-states, the most important of which were Awan, Susa, Himash, Anshan, etc.

In 2950 BC, [-] (no name was left) established the early Elamite kingdom, which we can call the pre-Elamite dynasty in imitation of Egypt. The capital is in Susa.

Unlike the Sumerian civilization, it was not the city-states that took turns fighting for supremacy, which led to the de facto division of the Sumerians. Perhaps because the Aryan religion had only a few main gods, some were similar to the Semitic monotheism, but were assisted by more gods than the Sumerians in addition to the main gods. Therefore, there were periods of city-states vying for hegemony in Elamite history, but if the winner was decided, its ruler would take over the city of Susa, and the capital would not change depending on which city-state he was from. The only thing that can distinguish which city-state is in power is the name of the dynasty, such as the First Dynasty of Awan, as the name suggests, the people of the city-state of Awan ruled the entire country. Some are similar to the period of the Chinese feudal dynasty, no matter where people captured Chang'an, they also took Chang'an as their capital, and would not take their hometown as their capital. A strange person like Zhu Yuanzhang lists his hometown as the third capital, but there are not many people who are focused on harming his hometown.

Reign: 2950-2916 BC.

It was during his reign that the Elamite civilization emerged from the chaos of its early city-states, and the simplification of writing indicated that its regime was beginning to get on track.

The Elamite society was initially modeled after the Aryan caste system, which divided the society into hierarchies, but it was only later that the hierarchy was broken by constant threats from the Mesopotamian city-states and trade exchanges. The Aryan civilization in the Indus Valley was largely unaffected by the outside world due to the shelter of the Elamite region, so it maintained a hierarchical system for thousands of years, even in modern times.

At the time of its establishment of Elamite, the Sumerian civilization was under the reign of King Gish Nmebara Geshe.

In 2946 BC, when Nmei Balakshi made an expedition to the pre-Elamite dynasty in the Elamite region (Iran), the Elamites surrendered and presented them with bows and arrows symbolizing submission. It was the first Sumerian power to invade the Elamite region. This was followed by a southern expedition to the Persian Gulf coast. It was the first regime to dominate the Sumerian and Elamite regions.

Elam's rich forest resources and mineral deposits were the object of plunder by the Sumerian states.

Traditionally, the Sumerian states lacked trees, so houses were built using mud that did not burn wood, so they had to be rebuilt every few years. This is in stark contrast to the rich forest resources of the Elamite region, which made Elamite an object of plunder by the Mesopotamian states. Thus, Elam was invaded and conquered by the countries of Mesopotamia very early in history, but also invaded and conquered these countries many times.

Since then, the two Irans have been entangled in history, and wars have occurred continuously, and there have been Iran-Iraq wars until modern times. In terms of origin, the civilizations were all derived from the Harappan civilization, but later split into Sumerian and Aryan civilizations, which later led to wars between Mesopotamia and the Elamite regions from different civilizations. The seeds of hatred between Iran and Iraq have been going on for 5,000 years.

Humban Hapu'ar I, reigned 2916-2892 BC, a contemporary of Gilgamesh.

In 2916 BC, Humban Hapual I succeeded to the throne of Elam.

During his reign, Elamite submitted to Gilgamesh of Uruk.

Since then, there has been a tradition that when the Sumerian monarch is strong, the Elamite will submit to him, and if the rule is chaotic, the Elamite will refuse to submit. It seems that there was an easy unanimity within the Elamite, and often the opinion of the king as the unanimity of the states, in contrast to the scattered Sumerians.

Humpapa, reigned 2892-2857 BC.

In 2892 BC, Humpappa succeeded to the Elamite throne of Humban Hapual I.

Humban Shuturr, reigned 2857-2820 BC.

In 2857 BC, Humban Shutur succeeded to the throne of Elamite of Humbappa.
