Chapter 12: Zero Luck

If I had to rate my luck, I would give it zero. For a person who is insulated from luck, zero luck means that you can't have any luck for nothing, and you have to work hard first if you want to get it. Only if you do it in a down-to-earth manner will you have the opportunity to get it.

During one interview, the interviewer asked me a question that stuck in my memory. The interviewer asked, "If the perfect score was 10, how would you rate your luck?" I hesitated for a moment and replied, "0." "The interviewer was surprised that while few people would give themselves a 10, no one would give them a 0. Seeing the interviewer's doubts, I said, "Because everything I get is never given to me by luck, but I have earned it little by little." ”

Anything that requires luck is not with me. You won't win a lottery ticket if you buy a lottery ticket, you won't win a prize in a lottery, and you won't get a good lottery in a lottery...... There are so many things like this that I'm used to feeling disappointed in anticipation. Although I have not been blessed by the god of luck and some unfortunate things have happened, I have never considered myself unlucky, at least I have not encountered serious disasters, but I have been a little unlucky.

Since the god of luck has ignored my existence, if you want to succeed, you have to rely on yourself to work hard. With this awareness, I never had a fluke mentality, and I gradually learned not to hope for luck. Even if you are unlucky, as long as you keep your feet on the ground, there will always be a reward, although such a reward may not be as good as what others get in one lucky time.

Zero luck sounds pitiful, but I prefer to encourage myself not to envy the luck of others and concentrate on living my own life. Even if you are not lucky enough to add color to your life, you should use your own hands to make life wonderful.
