Chapter 1: Letters from Hogwarts
Aaron Manor, located just outside the city of Gillingham in the southeast of England, is located on a small island at the mouth of the Medway River, backed by the beautiful North Sea, with a mild climate and pleasant scenery. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info
When the first rays of the morning sun shone into the dining room of Aaron's Manor, the young owner of the manor, Al Aaron, was walking into the dining room with a sleepy-eyed look, kicking his slippers and snorting.
The elderly house-elf Ah Fu followed closely behind, dragging a tray and placing a hearty breakfast in front of Al.
Al picked up his knife and fork and was about to eat breakfast, when he saw Ah Fu take out a letter and put it on the table.
"Little master, there is your letter, which the owl has just delivered this morning. ”
Ah Fu has two big bat-like ears, and a pair of eyes the size of a green tennis ball, which have become a little cloudy because of his age, his skin is full of wrinkles, and his speech has become slow.
"What?!?"
Al was very surprised, he had never written a letter to anyone, and no one had ever written any letter to him, so why was there a letter from him all of a sudden today.
Al picked up the letter from the table, the yellow envelope, made of heavy parchment, with the address and recipient written on it in emerald green ink.
Outside Gillingham, Medway Bend, Aaron Manor, El Aaron.
Who would have written it for me?
Confused, Al flipped the letter over.
On the back of the letter is a wax seal, a coat of arms in the shape of a shield, with a capital "H" in the center, and a lion, a snake, a badger, and an eagle on the periphery of the letters.
Al opened the envelope and pulled out the letterhead, there were two of them, and Al read the top one first.
Dear Mr. Al Aaron, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of books and items required.
The semester is scheduled to start on September 1 and we will be waiting for your owl to hear back from you by July 31.
At the bottom of the list is Deputy Headmaster Minerva McGonagall.
Al's mind remembered what his deceased parents had said that every magical child in England would receive a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when they reached the age of eleven, inviting them to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and eventually become a qualified wizard.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the only school of witchcraft and wizardry in the UK and is recognized as one of the best schools of witchcraft and wizardry in the world.
Knowing that many of his ancestors had graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Al now seems to have been invited to it.
The letter was placed on the table, and Al picked up a second letter and found it to be a list of items.
It lists a large number of uniforms such as hats, gloves, and cloaks, as well as many textbooks and utensils needed for school, and of course, the most important thing for a wizard, a wand.
It is worth noting that there are two sentences written at the bottom of this letterhead.
Students are allowed to bring an owl or a cat or a toad.
Parents are reminded that first-year students are not allowed to bring their own broomsticks.
Al turned his head to look at Ah Fu, and he said, "The letter says that I have been approved to join Hogwarts, but I haven't signed up, how do they know about me?"
Al's grandfather and parents have passed away, and now he is the only one left in the entire Aaron family, but fortunately, there is still a house-elf Ah Fu to serve him and take care of him.
Ah Fu hesitated for a moment, and then said in an uncertain tone: "I don't know about the little masters, maybe they are watching us all the time." ”
Al shrugged his shoulders noncommittally at Ah Fu's answer, he didn't believe that the people of Hogwarts were so idle, spying on others every day, maybe for some other reason, but it was an inconsequential question, even if he didn't understand, he wouldn't delve into it.
Al is not opposed to studying at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, because it is a natural thing, and of course the children of wizarding families have to learn how to become a wizard.
"The letter says I'll use an owl to reply to them, but we don't have owls at home, do we?"
Ah Fu nodded: "Little master, there are indeed no owls anymore, and the owl room has been vacant for a long time." ”
Al looked at the list of items in his hand, which included all the utensils he needed, such as cauldrons, binoculars, brass scales, and a whole set of small medicine bottles, which he remembered from his storeroom, except for the uniforms, wands, and textbooks, which he needed to buy separately.
Oh yes, and I need to buy another owl.
Raising the list in his hand, Al asked Ah Fu, "Do you know where to buy these things?"
Ah Fu nodded again, and then said in a slow tone: "Of course, there is only one place where you can buy these things, and that is Diagon Alley. ”
Diagon Alley, located in London, England, is the busiest and busiest street in the British wizarding world, with many magic shops and almost all the magic goods you can think of.
Al remembers Diagon Alley, where his parents had taken him once when he was younger, and it was a very pleasant memory.
The distance from Aaron's Manor to Diagon Alley in London was not very close, and Al didn't know how to get there, so he had to ask Ah Fu, "How should we get to Diagon Alley." ”
Ah Fu replied: "In the past, the owner used Floo powder to go directly to Diagon Alley through the fireplace, but now there is no Floo powder at home, and the flight network here has been closed, so we have to use phantom transformation to get there."
Phantom shifting, this is the first time Al has heard this word, and after a little explanation from Ah Fu, Al understands that it turns out that Ah Fu needs to cast a spell to take him to Diagon Alley.
After breakfast, Al cleaned himself up, brushed his teeth and face, changed into a new set of clothes, and then went to the vault in the basement.
Al's vault is located in the basement of Aaron's manor, the door and walls are under spells, anyone who tries to enter the vault without using violence or magic without using the key will be met with spells, and there are only two keys to open the door of the vault, one is in the hands of the house elf Ah Fu, and the other is carried by Al close to him.
Looking at the heavy door in front of him, Al removed a small, delicate key from his neck and inserted it into the keyhole of the gate.
There was a "click" sound from the door, and then it slowly opened, revealing a mountain of gold and silver treasures inside.
