Chapter 10: Aurelio
Agnes finished her martial arts training for the day and walked out of the club. At a glance, she saw a familiar figure in front of the carriage. It was a young man in his twenties, wearing a navy blue double-breasted long jacket and beige leggings, a plain white linen shirt with a delicate bow tie, and knee-high boots that were shiny. He was leaning against the carriage, his top hat and cane he had taken off in one hand, and in the other he was taking out his pocket watch to watch the time. This is Aurelio, the elder brother of Agnes and the eldest son of Count Pagni.
"Aurelio!" Agnes called out in surprise, lifted the hem of her skirt and ran towards Aurelio.
Aurerio looked up, smiled and opened his arms to embrace Angnes. Then he flicked Agnes's forehead lightly and said with a smile: "It's good that my mother didn't come, otherwise my etiquette class would have to be repeated." ”
"Aurelio!" Agnes covered her forehead with some shame.
Aurelio raised his hands in surrender, his gray-blue eyes smiling, and he said, "Get in the car first, let's go home first." ”
"How long are you going to stay home this time?" As soon as she sat down, Agnes asked impatiently.
"Two weeks, after all, I have joined Mr. James's project team, and I will follow him to do experiments later." Aurelio replied.
"Aurelio, you see I'm fine, you don't have to work so hard." Agnes made a strong gesture of her own, looked at Aurelio and said.
Aurelio was stunned for a moment, then laughed.
"Agnes, this action isn't quite for you." Aurelio said with a smile, and Agnes's face turned red.
"Don't laugh." Agnes couldn't help but clench her fists.
Aurelio still laughed.
"Don't laugh anymore." Agnes's fists clenched even tighter.
Aurerio clutched his stomach and laughed.
"You're still laughing!" Agnes couldn't help but smash a punch in Aurelio's shoulder, who choked and coughed.
"Ahem, you didn't really come to the Joseph Club to practice martial arts, did you?" Aurelio asked, rubbing his shoulder.
"yes, you don't believe me?" Agnes lifted her chin slightly.
Aurerio stared at Agnes for a long time, not speaking. His strange gaze made Agnes feel uncomfortable.
"What are you staring at me for? Why haven't you seen you for half a year, and your etiquette class has reached the point where you need to retake it? Agnes couldn't help but say angrily.
"Mother said you're getting better, but I didn't expect you to be good enough to train in martial arts. I thought you were just going to Joseph's Club to play. Aurelio said with some depression.
"How is that possible? My martial arts studies are going well. Agnes said with some pride.
"So you're going to hit me?" Aurelio said sullenly.
"You laughed at me first!" Agnes retorted.
Aurelio looked very sad and clutched his shoulders.
"It really saddens me, I just came back from school and knew you were at Joseph's Club and came to pick you up. Who knew that not only did you not welcome me, but you also beat me, and if you knew that I would not come back? ”
Agnes looked at Aurelio's appearance, and for some reason, felt a little weak.
"Obviously, you laughed at me first." Agnes couldn't help but whisper.
"Ah, it hurts." Aurelio rubbed his shoulders and said bitterly.
Could it be that he didn't control his strength and used too much force? No, I can control my strength very well in three or four days, Agnes thought. Is it because he is angry and has not been well controlled?
"Does it hurt?" Agnes asked in a whispered apologetic voice.
"It hurts, you rub it for me." Aurelio leaned to the side.
Agnes helped Aurelio rub it up.
"yes, this is it." The corners of Aurelio's mouth gradually hooked.
The carriage stopped, and Agnes was about to withdraw her hand.
"Wait, it's still a little painful here." Aurelio stops Agnes.
Agnes looked at Aurelio with a gentle smile on her lips.
"Still hurt?"
"Well, it still hurts." Aurelio clasped his shoulders and nodded.
Agnes punched Aurelio in the abdomen.
"That way you don't hurt."
Agnes turned around and got out of the carriage in a rage.
……
Agnes walked into her room and sat down in front of the dressing mirror, the girl in the mirror was fair-skinned, her cheeks flushed a little, and her eyes were tinged with a hint of anger. Agnes stared at herself in the mirror, and suddenly laughed, revealing a little white tiger tooth, and her eyebrows and eyes were crooked.
There was two knocks on the open door, and Agnes turned her head to see Aurelio standing there holding his stomach against the door.
Agnes looked at Aurelio and smiled even more cheerfully, and she covered her mouth.
"Looks like Agnes isn't angry." Aurelio walked in with a wry smile and closed the door casually.
"What am I angry about?" Agnes smiled and said, "It hurts." ”
Aurelio looked at Agnes with some wariness and replied, "It hurts a little." ”
"Next time you bully me, I'll beat you." Agnes threatened with the waving of her fist.
Aurelio shook his head helplessly and sighed, "I really should have told my mother that your etiquette class should really be retaken." ”
"How did you get so strong?" Aurelio asked.
Agnes was silent, she bowed her head and did not answer.
"It's the extraordinary power of the church." Aurelio saw Agnes' reaction and said with some certainty.
"You know?" Agnes was a little surprised.
"I'm the eldest son of an earl." Aurelio shook his head and sighed.
Agnes nodded.
"Father should know." Agnes affirmed.
"For example?"
"For example, Mother is a member of the Church's Extraordinaire squad."
"Yes."
"What about you?"
"I know that too."
"Do you know that my illness is caused by extraordinary factors?" Agnes asked.
"I know." Aurelio nodded.
"Then you still choose Morgan Medical School!" Agnes couldn't help but raise her voice.
"Shhhh That's when I found out. ”
Agnes was silent for a long time before she said in a somewhat dry voice, "I'm sorry." ”
"It's my own choice."
"But I know that my father doesn't really support your choice of medical school."
"It doesn't really matter what the Earl's heir goes to college. Actually, to be honest, it seems to me that studying medicine is easier. Aurerio rubbed Agnes' head and said with a smile.
"Well, I see." Agnes replied sullenly.
"Be happy, I'm not bullying you now. Think about it, now that you've recovered from your illness and learned martial arts, if I bully you, you can beat me, isn't it good to be in a good mood? ”
Agnes burst out laughing, "How can you be so comforted?" ”
"Huh? Didn't you say that if I bullied you, you were going to beat me? Aurelio said with great exaggeration.
Agnes didn't know what to say for a while, was silent for a moment, and then changed the topic very stiffly: "How much do you know about the extraordinary?" ”
"Not a lot, I just know that the church and the royal family have the means to give ordinary people extraordinary powers. The power held by the Church is related to nature and fits well with the name of the Church, while the royal family seems to be associated with order. Most of the events that may be related to Extraordinarily Powers are handled by the Church's Extraordinaire Squad, which as far as I can tell, is called the Heart of Nature; It seems that the royal family also has a related department, which is the secret department of the kingdom, and I only know the name of this department, which is called the Royal Special Events Statistical Survey Bureau. The rest I know is not very clear. ”
Agnes nodded and said, "Actually, I should be a member of Nature's Heart at the moment. ”
Aurelio nodded knowingly, "I understand, after all, you received help from the church. He hesitated for a moment, and then opened his mouth to talk about something less relevant: "According to my father's request, I will graduate this year, and then follow my father to really participate in something." ”
Agnes was stunned for a moment and asked, "Is it too late?" ”
"Actually, my father wrote to me in December last year. My grades are actually quite good, the graduation requirements have been met, and the project I am doing now can be directly used as a graduation project. Aurelio said with a smile.
Agnes nodded and said, "Then you have to work harder." ”
Aurelio smiled and nodded, stood up, and said, "Let's go, it's time for dinner." ”
