088. Follow-up, December, weekends

The Dueling Club activities had a significant impact on Hogwarts.

The most obvious thing is that there are more young wizards in the school who are interested in Transfiguration.

In the past, Transfiguration was a much more complex nature than other magic courses, which discouraged many students from delving into the subject.

Their goal is often to barely grasp the content of the classroom.

But Scott's "demo" at the Dueling Club seems to have sparked enthusiasm for Transfiguration.

Already more than one person has lamented that fighting with Transfiguration is "really cool" to Scott.

In short, a lot of people have started to try.

They wanted to emulate what Scott did at the Dueling Club.

But it won't be easy.

As more and more people took the initiative to ask Scott for advice, he found that many Hogwarts students had only mastered Transfiguration to the extent that they could use it.

Putting Transfiguration to good use in battle?

It's hard for them.

The fact that "inanimate objects become living things" is a hindrance to many students in the lower grades.

And those senior students who have mastered this transfiguration technique also have their own problems-

Most people use Transfiguration to transform the animals that are always dull, let alone flexibly control one or more Transfiguration products to participate in battle.

Scott himself knows that the more Transfiguration products he wields, the exponential increase in difficulty.

In the past, even he could only manipulate up to three Transfiguration products for relatively simple activities.

For example, on the night of "Searching for the Slytherin Heir", he used Transfiguration to conjure up three giant eagles and fly with him and the Weasley twins.

That's the most he could have done at the time.

Want them to be flexible in battle, or even cooperate with each other?

That's impossible.

He can only control one at most.

Now Scott seems to be able to control three or four, because his Transfiguration has entered a new stage -

Although the Transfiguration product cannot be "fully automatic", it is also "semi-automatic".

Although he needs to use his magical perception to guide him in battle, it is much easier than before.

In short, Scott felt that while some of the students were currently enthusiastic about learning Transfiguration, that enthusiasm would soon subside when they fully realized how difficult it was.

The second effect of the Dueling Club on Hogwarts was the growing tension between Slytherin House and the other three houses.

This contradiction is not obvious on the surface, and no one is even openly-for-tat.

But in fact, many people can feel that the atmosphere in Hogwarts Castle has quietly changed.

In particular, there is a dark tide between those who are extremely pure-blooded and those who are Muggle-born, and the hostility between them has become more and more obvious.

The professors at the school had to take action.

Dumbledore made a speech to the whole school one morning.

But Scott felt that his rhetoric of "love conquers all", "Hogwarts is one", and "a call for all to unite" did not seem to have achieved much effect.

Fortunately, he seems to have taken a double measure.

First of all, the deans of the four faculties have clearly tightened the management of their students.

They appear in front of students significantly more often outside of school hours.

Secondly, the presidents of the male and female student councils, and the male and female prefects of each college and each grade were also ordered to take action.

They play the role of "extinguishing the fire" at all times, and never allow any conflict between students to have a chance to escalate.

In short, in such a "staring mode", even if some students want to do something, they basically can't find the opportunity.

As time passed, the "hot atmosphere" in the school finally cooled down.

A dueling club event had a big impact on the school at Hogwarts, and Scott, as a party to the incident, was of course greatly affected.

He seems to have become popular.

Of course, in the other three houses other than Slytherin.

In particular, many young wizards who wanted to try their hand at Transfiguration began to ask him questions.

This annoyed Scott.

The measure he takes is never to tell people the correct answer to a question directly, but to give them a list of reference books to study on their own.

In the face of Scott's response, only the Ravenclaw students generally accepted it well.

As for Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, except for those like Hermione Granger and Cedric, everyone else was "dissuaded".

This succeeded in calming Scott a lot.

Being too popular is one trouble, and being too hostile is another.

After that duel, the hostility of some of the pure-blood students of Slytherin towards Scott had begun to be undisguised.

Especially Strierna and his friends.

Strielna's physical injuries in the duel quickly healed, but his injured self-esteem could no longer be glued.

He also received a confinement punishment package from Slytherin Dean Snape after recovering from his injury.

Snape's reasoning was that "Strierna's lame response in the duel was discrediting Slytherin, and losing to a fourth-year tarnished the House's honour".

This caused Strielna's position within Slytherin to begin to plummet.

Some of the younger Slytherin students no longer respected him.

Of course, these messages were provided to Squat by Eddie.

Scott could tell that Strierner was clearly annoyed by this.

He obviously hated him.

Scott, of course, had no emotion at all, but he secretly raised his guard.

In the second week of December, Professor Flitwick asked the prefects to help keep track of the list of students who would stay on campus for this year's Christmas break.

Both Scott and his roommates chose to go home.

As the clock ticked, the semester was coming to an end.

Hogwarts Castle has been decorated with a little more festive – and while Christmas is still some time away, many people can't hold it back.

Professor Flitwick, for example, hung colorful lights on the walls of his Charms classroom.

Scott knew that he had even started to design the decorations for the school auditorium on Christmas Day.

On the last weekend of the semester, Scott and his roommates decided to spend time in Hogsmeade, near the school, to buy some Christmas presents.

They braved the snow on Saturday morning to walk out of the castle and into the school's gate to Hogsmeade.

At this time, there were already quite a few students.

Roger's girlfriend, Caccini, is also waiting for him here.

But Filch, who was in charge of the gatekeeper, didn't seem to have arrived.

While waiting, Scott, Milton and Eddie choose to stand farther away from the couple.

Eddie is complaining that Roger is flirting with his girlfriend in front of them.

Scott, however, began to take a closer look at Milton.

"What's wrong?"

Milton looked up and looked at him inquiringly.

"Have you changed a little lately?" Scott said with some uncertainty, "Your magic is growing fast. ”
