089. Money bags, orders, girls
In the face of Scott's question, Milton smiled and said, "I can't hide it from you." β
Scott, however, felt that his smile looked a little complicated, not pure happiness.
"Did something happen?" He asked.
Milton shook his head and looked around.
"Mr. Filch is here." He whispered, "Let's get back to it." β
Scott looked at the crowd around him and nodded knowingly.
"It's up to you whether you say it or not, Milton." "Everyone has their own secrets," he said. β
"Yes." Eddie on the side also nodded.
Scott and Milton turned to look at him at the same time.
"What's wrong?" Eddie shrugged his shoulders innocently, "I've been listening here." β
Milton took a deep breath, as if he had made a decision, and then smiled genuinely, "I do have something I want to tell you, but not now. β
Scott said, "Then I'll wait until I get back to my dorm in the evening." β
Milton nodded.
At this time, Filch came with the key.
"You guys only get active when you're out and about!" He babbled and complained with a straight face.
No one paid attention to him.
He opened the door and began to shout, "Quick! Get in line! I'm going to check your permission to go out! Students below the third grade don't want to sneak out! β
His bulging bulb eye patrolled the crowd, as if he was about to rush out at any moment to catch the junior students who tried to sneak out.
But it had nothing to do with Scott, and they quickly walked out the door through inspection.
They walked a snowy road to the Christmas village of Hogsmeade.
"Where do you want to go first?"
Roger, who was walking ahead with Caccini's hand, turned his head and asked.
"You should want to go to Lady Paddev's teahouse?" Eddie smiled teasingly, "Leave us alone, let's go on a sweet date." β
Caccini blushed a little when he heard this, but Roger smiled smugly and led her away.
"So where do we go now?" Eddie looked at Scott and Milton.
"I'll have to go to Duke Honey's candy store and get my money bag." Scott said.
"Okay." Eddie nodded knowingly.
Milton looked at them in bewilderment.
But Scott just laughed and said, "You'll find out when you go." β
They walked to Duke Honey's candy store, and through the transparent window, they could see that the candy store was already crowded with students at this time.
"We'll wait here for a while." Scott said.
They waited at the door for a short time before Fred and George came out of the store.
"Here comes my purse."
Scott said to Eddie and Milton.
Then he held out his hand to the twins, "Bring it, or I'll pick you upside down and scratch your belly." β
"Hey, buddy!"
"We're not your sniffers!"
Fred and George feigned anger.
"Isn't it?" Scott looked surprised, "In that case, why did you come out of the burrow?" β
"You won't understand!"
Fred took out a money bag and shook it and placed it in Scott's hand.
"It's a ritual." George emphasized.
Scott opened the money bag and looked at it, smiling with satisfaction, "It looks like business is quite good." β
"Of course." Fred said happily, "Ever since the Dueling Club, everyone has been very interested in your Metamorphosis notes. β
"There is no shortage of sales at all." George said.
He grimaced with regret, "It's a pity that you licensed the Ravenclaw and Slytherin business to Eddie, we'll make a lot more." β
"Hey! I'm here! Eddie was upset and said, "Ravenclaw is my territory!" And I have more doors in Slytherin than you do. β
"That was before."
Fred retorted with a grin.
"Scott isn't very popular in Slytherin right now, and you're his roommate."
"That's because you don't know me too well." Eddie raised his head and said proudly.
"Seriously, Eddie." Fred put his arm around Eddie's neck again, "How's your business going over there?" β
"Average." Eddie grinned, and his words were grossly inconsistent with his expression.
Seeing this, Fred hurriedly took him aside, and George followed, and the three of them got together and talked about business.
Scott flipped the money bag in his hand, said hello, and walked into the candy store with Milton.
He wasn't interested in shopping around the crowded store, so he went straight to the counter and simply signed several ordersβ
For a few extra silver sicos, the clerk will wrap the candy on the order as a gift in Scott's name on Christmas Day and send it out according to the list he left behind.
Scott loves the hassle-free service.
Of course, this part of the more perfunctory gifts is aimed at the gift recipients who have a general relationship with him.
Quickly solving most of the gift problem, Scott walked out of the candy store refreshed.
By this time, the Eddie and Weasley twins had no idea where to go.
When Milton came out of the store, they went to the Deves and Bans stores, as well as the Literati Quill shop, where Scott signed a few more orders.
"In this way, most of the Christmas gifts I need to prepare this year have been solved." He said to Milton, "You should ask me to learn from me, Milton." β
Unlike Scott, who was dressed lightly, Milton carried a large bag in his hand, and he insisted: "I think it makes more sense to send a gift by hand." β
Scott shrugged his shoulders, "Of course, I'll send you a few gifts myself." β
"I'm looking forward to it." Milton said with a smile.
"Alright, Eddie should be at the Three Broomsticks Bar, and we should go over and warm up with a Butterbeer." Scott suggested.
He helped Milton sort out his purchases, and the two of them used the Shrinking Charm to merge the bags into one.
Then they walked towards the Three Broomsticks Bar.
As they passed the Lady Paddev teahouse on the corner, Scott stopped.
"That one over there, that's Roger's ex-girlfriend."
He whispered, motioning for Milton to look ahead.
A girl was standing motionless outside the glass window of a teahouse.
Milton nodded, "It's Miss Mil of Hufflepuff." β
At this time, the girl was standing there quietly looking into the teahouse.
"Let's take a look." Scott said.
They got a little closer, and could see couples sitting at the small table in the teahouse.
And Roger and Caccini are one of them.
The two of them were holding hands and looking at each other, and Roger seemed to be talking about something interesting, which made Caccini laugh.
Maybe it's the angle, or maybe it's the date that's too engrossed, they don't notice that Mill is standing out the window staring straight at them.
And Milton didn't notice the proximity of Scott and Milton.
It wasn't until Scott and Milton got closer that she was awakened by the sound of their footsteps on the snow.
She glanced back at the two of them, showed a ghost-like expression, and then turned around and hurried away.
Scott looked at her back and said helplessly: "I always feel that the last Du Ping incident is not counted, and Roger may learn a greater lesson in the future because of his excessively rich love history." β
