Chapter 16 of the Letter from Hogwarts
After Joe became an Animagus, he did not choose to register with the Ministry of Magic, but left it as his hole card. When Julie found out, she agreed to help Joe keep it a secret.
The common secret has brought the two closer a lot.
One night, Joe sat by the window and slowly drank a steaming cup of calming tea, which was infused with a potion that would quickly relieve fatigue, and he would drink some every day before going to bed.
He wanted to look at the stars outside the window as usual, but today was a little different from usual, an owl he had never seen before, fluttering its wings, landed on Qiao's mailbox, and then stuffed a letter into it.
Whose owl is this? Probably not, his owl will just break into my bedroom and beg for jerky, Joe thought. Anyway, let's go and see what is written in the letter.
After the owl outside flew away, Joe trotted all the way to open the mailbox.
"The address is written here, and it doesn't seem to have been sent by mistake. Joe muttered to himself. He looked again, and the envelope was made of heavy parchment. The address is written in emerald green ink. No stamps are affixed. Then he flipped the envelope over, and saw a wax seal, a shield coat of arms, and a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake surrounded by a capital "H."
"This is an invitation to Hogwarts. Joe excitedly muttered to himself, "Where can I finally go to school!"
Then he took a deep breath and calmed his restlessness. Then he opened the envelope and pulled the letter out. The letter reads.
Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Confederation of Magic, President of the Wizarding Guild, First Class Wizard of the Order of Merlin)
Dear Mr. Gul,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of the required books and equipment. Semester is scheduled to begin on September 1. We will wait for your owl to hear back from you by July 31.
Vice-Chancellor (female) Minerva McGonagall.
Because it was late today, Joe handed the letter to David and Anna the next day.
"Hogwarts, haven't heard of it, when did you sneak to sign up?" asked David.
"Not really. Joe then gave David and Anna a general introduction to Hogwarts.
"That's right!" exclaimed Anna, for there was such a magic school in the world, "what do you think?"
"I'm going to go to Hogwarts. ”
"Well, at least the two of us don't have to worry about which middle school you go to!" David said, "To celebrate Joe's admission to Hogwarts, I'll cook a big meal myself today." ”
"Forget it, I'll cook today!"
"That's better, I'll help you out. Anna said.
After getting the admission notice, Joe also gave himself a rare vacation! no longer studying magic, but concentrating on accompanying David and Anna.
Soon after, early one morning, a woman appeared at the door of Gul's house, wearing square glasses, black hair curled in a high bun, and a dark green robe with Scottish checkered.
She politely rang the doorbell, and after half ringing, David opened them.
"Good afternoon, I'm Minerva McGonagall, and I'm looking for Mr. Joe El Gur, I'm sure he's at home. ”
"Which Hogwarts Headmaster are you?"
"Exactly me, sir. ”
"He happens to be at home, you come in first, ma'am." David said. "He's making shortbread in the kitchen and it's ready in no time. ”
"A Chinese dim sum, ma'am. It's so delicious that you can try it too. ”
After a while, Joe's voice came from the kitchen, "Here comes the shortbread." ”
"The shortbread is ready. David said to McGonagall, then he turned to Joe and Anna, who had just come out of the kitchen, and said, "Come here, this is the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." ”
"Hello Your Excellency, I'm Joe. Joe said as he placed a plate of steaming shortbread on the table. "Try my shortbread first. ”
McGonagall carefully picked up a shortbread and took a small bite.
"Oily but not greasy, crispy and delicious, and your cooking skills are very good, Mr. Gul. ”
"Thank you!"
"Now that you all know, let me introduce you to Hogwarts. ”
"We all know that, Your Excellency. Anna said.
"Oh!" McGonagall wondered, "How do you know?"
"I'll tell you!" replied Joe calmly. "I was once seen by an adult wizard when I accidentally used my magic, and we've known each other since. When she knew I had received my acceptance letter, she introduced us to Hogwarts. The wizard you should know, her name is Julie Abbott and she used to be a Gryffindor. Joe blamed Julie for what he knew about Hogwarts.
"Julie of the Abbott family, I remember her, she was a very energetic girl. McGonagall recalled, "In that case, take your acceptance letter and I'll take you straight to Diagon Alley." ”
"Thank you. ”
McGonagall then led Joe through the Leaky Cauldron to Diagon Alley.
Take out your acceptance letter and there is a list of the books and equipment you will need for your first grade.
Joe opened the second page of the envelope and wrote:

"I think it's hot, and you've had a hard time making the way here, so I think you can sit down and have some ice cream at the Flolin cold drink shop. Then I'll go to you after I'm done shopping, and you're checking it. ”
Looking at Joe, who insisted on buying something by herself, McGonagall thought for a while, and finally nodded.
