Chapter XVII on the train
Joe first went to Gringotts to buy some gold galleons, then went to buy a new set of potions such as a crucible, then went to the Blotted Bookstore to buy textbooks, and went to Ollivanders to buy a lot of wand maintenance tools, and then he walked into the pet shop, and when he came out, he had Sal standing on his shoulder.
Whew, it's almost the last school uniform. Joe gasped and walked into the Lady Morkin Robe Shop.
Madame Morkin was actually a stocky, kind sorceress dressed in lilac.
"My dear, is it Hogwarts school?" said Joe, just as he was about to speak, Madame Makin said, "You'll get a lot of what you need here." ”
"I want the best here. Joe said.
Mrs. Morkin made Joe stand on the bench, put a robe off his head, and began to cut it to the proper length. As soon as the robe is ready.
Magic is so handy. Joe touched the robe, and it was a good idea to pay for it, although it was a bit more expensive, but the automatic ironing, repair, and permanent thermostat magic on it were really good.
After everything was done, Joe walked into the ice cream parlor, ate an ice cream, and chatted with McGonagall about Hogwarts for a while. Joe politely said goodbye and went home.
Fast forward to September 1st, the first day Hogwarts opened, and Joe turned down his parents' offer to send him and arrived alone between platforms 9 and 10 at King's Cross Station.
Nine and three-quarters of the way to the platform, ah!
Then he took the backpack that had been spelled with multiple Traceless Stretching Charms on his back and touched the feathers of Shar on his shoulder.
Thanks to the magic of the Animagus Transfiguration, in the crow form, Joe had an in-depth communication with his own Shar and Mirkor, and now the two pets are quite obedient, especially Shar, who doesn't need a cage to take him out at all.
Joe took a deep breath, stared at the ticket gate between platforms 9 and 10, and rushed over with all his might, he thought he would hit the column or something, but nothing happened like in the original book, he went straight through, and then the scenery in front of him changed.
A crimson steam locomotive is parked next to a platform packed with passengers. The sign on the train reads: Hogwarts Express, eleven o'clock. Joe looked back and saw that the place where the ticket gate had been turned out to be a wrought iron archway with the words "Platform Nine and Three-Quarters" written on it.
Smoke from steam locomotives bilfted over the chirping crowd, and cats of all colors walked through people's feet. Amid the humming of the crowd and the cacophony of dragging heavy luggage, owls also chirped and chirped.
The first few carriages were already packed with students, some leaning out of the windows to talk to their families, others fighting in their seats. Joe walked slowly forward on the platform, ready to find an empty seat. As he walked by, a round-faced boy said, "Grandma, I lost the toad again." "Ah, Neville. He heard an old woman sigh.
A boy with frightening dreadlocks is surrounded by some children.
"Let's see and see, Ali, hurry. The child opened the box he was holding, revealing a long, fluffy leg, which frightened the children around him and screamed and fell back.
Joe squeezed through the crowd, found an empty compartment near the back of the car, and sat down. He looked out of the car window and drove into a red-haired family, the Weasleys, whose signs were so obvious that they could be recognized from a distance.
After a while, a whistle sounded. Joe saw the three children hurrying onto the train. They leaned out of the car window and asked their mother to kiss goodbye. Their little sister began to cry again.
The train started to start, and Joe smiled and stopped looking out the window. He took some jerky out of his backpack and fed it to Shar, then took out another book on ancient magic and read it with relish.
I don't know how long it took, but the sliding door of the cubicle opened, and a girl snorted and gasped as she said, "Is there anyone here?"
The girl's voice took Joe's attention off the book, and he looked up to see a head of thick brown hair and a pair of front teeth.
"Come in, there's no one here. Joe replied.
The girl listened and began to struggle to carry a large box.
"I'll help you!" Jo drew her wand, and the girl spoke but didn't speak.
"Yuga Dim Leviosa. Joe whispered. Then the box floated up and was placed in the luggage room above Joe's head.
"Spell Standards, Lesson 1. Very beautiful levitation spell!"
"That's right. Your memory is amazing!" Joe complimented softly, then held out his hand, "Joe Gul. ”
"Hermione Granger. The girl also reached out and shook Joe's hand.
Sure enough, such an obvious sign. Miss Know-it-all. Joe thought as he continued to do so, picked up the book he had just read and read it on.
The girl sat in her seat and rested for a while, then began to observe Joe quietly. Beautiful floating charm, casual and elegant demeanor, at a glance you know that the material is very high-grade robe. Is it from a wizard's family?
After observing Joe for a moment, Hermione focused her attention on the cover of the book in Joe's hand. "Advanced Applications and Combinations of Ancient Magical Texts" Oh my God, this is a difficult book that even the seventh grade can't reach! Are all the children of the wizard's family so strong? What should I do? The little witch thought wildly, and her already nervous mood suddenly became very bad.
The little witch was secretly depressed for a while, and then it occurred to me that I couldn't lose if I didn't work. I'm Hermione Granger, 1st place in XXX Elementary School, 1st place in XXX Summer Camp, and I can't go down here.
Thinking of this, the little witch suddenly regained her courage. Then he opened his mouth and said to Joe, "Excuse me!" and her tone was very careful, for fear of offending the other party.
"Uh-huh, what's wrong?" Joe felt a little surprised by Hermione's caution.
"Can you borrow me your book and take a look?" the girl said carefully.
"This one?" Joe shook the book in his hand.
"Hmm!" Hermione nodded.
"You still understand this, I didn't expect you to have such a high magical talent!" This time it was Joe's turn to be surprised, he didn't expect that the jack-of-all-trades in the original book were so talented, he had to study ancient magic for several years to understand this book, and Hermione had only been in contact with magic for a month!
"Thank you for the compliment!" Hermione was upset, did he despise his origins?, the little girl thought to herself.
Keenly aware of the dissatisfaction in Hermione's tone, and remembered the other party's performance at the beginning of school. Only then did Joe realize that he and the other party had misunderstood, and Hermione didn't really understand the book, but felt inferior. Then it's time to communicate.
"I've been interested in this knowledge since I was a child, but most people don't like it, they find the lines meaningless. Joe said sincerely. "It's great that I didn't expect to meet someone with the same hobby here!" Joe paused, "Actually, you don't have to worry, this book is not even read by most adult wizards who work in the Ministry of Magic." ”
After hearing this, the girl's face improved a little. Joe continued, "I'm not afraid of your jokes, I'm actually a Muggle!" Joe saw Hermione grow her mouth, "My parents are Muggles, and I met a wizard by chance, and she gave me some knowledge of ancient magic (deception), and I've been self-taught and studied for years. ”
"You're Muggle-born, it's unbelievable!, how can your magic be used so well?" asked Hermione, surprised.
"I don't know much about it except for ancient magic texts, in fact, I asked the wizard who enlightened me, and she told me that it is difficult for young wizards to learn any magic knowledge before the age of 11, at most, they may have done a few more elementary potions and seen a few more magical creatures. As for me, I belong to the big strange type and can't be used as an example. ”
"Actually, I'm also Muggle-born. The little witch said. "What a coincidence, I didn't expect to meet the same kind here!"
Yes, Joe thought: what a coincidence that you can meet the protagonist in a random carriage!
