Chapter Ninety-One: The Essence
It is actually normal for Patriarch Bodhi to have such a mentality. After all, this Confucianism and Taoism were founded by him himself, and these truths can only be experienced by those who are in line with his mind.
Actually, the behavior of the school is different before and after learning. Often for the same book, many people will form their own different understandings, or even misinterpret them.
Confucius's Confucianism came to later generations, and there were a lot of Confucianism and Confucianism, but none of them really reached the level of Confucius. Just because everyone has their own personal understanding, and there are often people who, halfway through their study of Confucianism, suddenly believe in other schools. For example, Wang Chong, a famous thinker in the Eastern Han Dynasty, is like this.
In Jiang Chen's opinion, he didn't feel that he had anything to say.
After all, Jiang Chen would never have imagined that Confucius would have anything to do with the "Bodhi Patriarch". In fact, if anyone thinks about it, it is always unthinkable.
In his view, Confucius was the integrator and founder of the Confucian classics. Bodhi Patriarch can't always be Confucius, right?
Maybe where did I find the classics of Confucianism, so I learned about Confucianism, but it's not a big deal, human etiquette.
The result is good, who knows that this Bodhi patriarch is really Confucius?
"Good...... It's so powerful, it's worthy of a little monkey!" The dragon girl Ao Qing showed a look of adoration in her eyes next to her.
Along the way, she has completely fallen into absolute trust in Jiang Chen. Although Patriarch Bodhi seemed to be angry just now, she was also a little frightened, but in the blink of an eye, that fright turned into a surprise again!
The rakshasa next to the dragon girl also showed a curious look in his eyes. She started half a month earlier than Jiang Chen and others, so she knew more about Confucianism. But because of this, it feels incredible.
Because of the Confucian theories, the rakshasa itself is also half-understood, seems to understand it or not, and some views are vaguely repulsive......
At this time, Patriarch Bodhi paused and spoke again:
"Jiang Chen, you little monkey is a little smart. Since you have a full understanding of the 'rites' I am going to talk about Confucianism. So now I want to ask you, I don't know what you think about this point of view?" asked Patriarch Bodhi.
The reason why he asked this was because he wanted to know that since this Jiang Chen was unexpectedly consistent with himself in terms of the discussion of etiquette, would there be any unexpected experiences?
Obviously, I should have only listened to half of what I said, and systematically deduced my thoughts after that. This Jiang Chen may also be able to give himself some inspiration, but I don't know!
Yes, although Patriarch Bodhi is already a Heavenly Dao Saint. But he didn't have pride because of this identity. On the contrary, he felt that there was a way for everything. Even the supreme saints are only attached to their own path, and it is impossible to understand all aspects clearly.
Therefore, among the six great saints, Lingbao Tianzun can be said to be the only saint who embraces a hundred schools. The rest of the saints are attached to their own paths. For example, Lao Tzu's "too ruthless", the Buddhism, merits and so on of the two sages of the West.
Jiang Chen listened to Patriarch Bodhi's inquiry, thinking that the other party was testing himself. He thought for a moment, and then said: "Patriarch, I think that Confucianism can be used for general enlightenment, but it is too reluctant to use Confucianism to judge the way of heaven and Taoism. Moreover, Confucianism itself can only be regarded as a direction, and cannot be studied deeply!"
As soon as Jiang Chen's words came out, all the disciples in the audience who were smart in everything appeared a little frightened in their eyes.
Especially those who have been in the beginners for a long time, and have been following the patriarch even before the Bodhi patriarch came to the Sanxing Cave. They knew very well that Patriarch Bodhi attached great importance to Confucianism, but now that Jiang Chen said such a thing, wouldn't this offend the patriarch?
"Jiang Chen, don't talk nonsense!" Rakshasa hurriedly reminded.
Although she is not very interested in those ideas of Confucianism, this is in front of the Bodhi Patriarch. This is not just a matter of despising education, especially in Confucianism, respecting teachers and not contradicting teachers is also an important principle.
"It doesn't matter, as the so-called teaching and learning are mutually beneficial, teaching is learning. Since you have your own opinion, you can say it. Patriarch Bodhi didn't look dissatisfied, but looked at Jiang Chen lightly.
"Yes. In my opinion, the root of Confucianism is actually more suitable for ordinary people. We are all cultivators, and we can only have a corresponding reference for the rituals! What we should follow should be the Dao Fa, not the Rituals. ”
Jiang Chen said: "As the so-called impermanence of heaven, Confucian etiquette is actually just a general division, and sometimes it is not necessarily reasonable, but it must be right. At the same time, different eras have different morals. I came from the Huaguo Mountain Water Curtain Cave, and on the way I also heard about the king of the Shang Dynasty!"
"Although from the rumors, maybe the king of Shang is not a wise king. But there are too many people who are more mediocre and tyrannical than him, but why is it now regarded as the head of the faint king? According to Confucianism, I am afraid that it cannot be explained convincingly. ”
Patriarch Bodhi narrowed his eyes slightly when he heard this.
Regarding the King of Shang, I am afraid that none of the people present knew what the situation was better than him.
The Great War of the Gods back then was actually destined to happen by the Heavenly Dao. Whether the king of the Shang Dynasty was the king of the Shang Dynasty or the Shang Dynasty, this point could not be changed! And the king himself was not actually mediocre.
In fact, from the beginning of the succession of the king to the throne, he has shown a wise and martial atmosphere, expeditions to foreign races, the release of slaves, and the promotion of people regardless of whether they are high or low. Therefore, not only did he gain the hearts of the people at that time, but even the disciples of the sect thought that he was a male lord who could compete with the Three Emperors and Five Emperors.
But...... In fact, what is the fate? Under the doom of the Heavenly Dao, in the calculations of the saints, even if the king is not mediocre, he must become mediocre!
Therefore, even the Bodhi Patriarch must admit that the king is mediocre. In that era, sitting in that position, even the three emperors and five emperors could not have the ability to reverse!
It seems that this Jiang Chen is even smarter than he thought, and he actually saw through the essence of the Dao Law at a glance.
“...... As for those ideas of Confucianism, it is enough to understand them briefly, and they must not be regarded as their own beliefs, not that they are wrong, but they must have their own subjective judgment. If you simply use one school to construct your own three views, then you will be in the picture!"
Jiang Chen carefully observed the expression of the Bodhi Patriarch and continued.
