Chapter 0367 Cangjie wrote a book to teach the heirs
When Lu Pheasant saw his daughter Liu Le leave and was worried about the affairs of Empress Zhang Yan and the emperor's eldest son Liu Gong, Liu Ying, the son of heaven, was tired and paralyzed on the couch in the oath hall of Weiyang Palace, fiddling with the bamboo slips in his hand weakly.
In today's Han Dynasty, this bamboo slip is a classic that almost every literate and even literate 'cultural person' is familiar with.
- Cangjie.
Decades ago, after assisting the First Emperor to rule the world, Qin Prime Minister Li Si, like his predecessor Lü Buwei, gave birth to the idea of 'writing and writing words to pass on to future generations';
However, unlike Lü Buwei who gathered people from all over the world to write the masterpiece "Lü's Spring and Autumn Period", Qin Xiang Li Si single-handedly wrote a classic for children's enlightenment for thousands of years to come: "Cangjie".
At this moment, the first sentence of the bamboo slip in Liu Ying's hand directly pointed to the historical mission of "Cangjie".
"Cangjie writes books to teach heirs ·······"
With a tired expression, he muttered out what he said in the book, and Liu Ying's brows couldn't help but swell with a wry smile.
In fact, the first enlightenment book in Chinese history was not the "Cangjie Chapter" by Qin Xiang Li Si, but the "History Chapter" compiled by Tai Shi Zhou during the reign of King Xuan of the Western Zhou Dynasty.
It's just that the "History Chapter" uses a complicated and difficult to learn large seal throughout the book, and at the end of the Warring States Period, not to mention the role of "enlightenment" and "literacy", even people who can understand it are very few.
After the first emperor ruled the world and decided to unify the script and use the small seal as the only universal font in the world, the first enlightenment book in Chinese history: "The History of the Chapters", there was no longer any need to continue to exist.
When the First Emperor Ying Zheng Ming edicted the world, and took 'the same book and the same track' as the national policy of the Great Qin, the first to stand up and correspondingly were Li Si, Zhao Gao and other confidants of the First Emperor.
Among them, Prime Minister Li Si wrote seven chapters of "Cangjie Chapter", CRRC Fu ordered Zhao Gao to do six chapters of "Calendar Chapter", and Taishi Ling Hu Wujing wrote seven chapters of "Erudite Chapter", a total of 20 chapters, which was called by the world: Qin Sancang.
Later, after the death of Qin and the revival of Han, in order to facilitate teaching, the local teaching gentlemen combined these three articles into one, with six crosses as one chapter, a total of 55 chapters, 3,300 words, and called: Cangjie chapter.
Therefore, in a strict sense, the "Cangjie Chapter" circulated in the Han Dynasty today cannot be regarded as written by Qin Xiang Li Si alone, but should be co-authored by Li Si, Zhao Gao, and Hu Wujing.
However, regardless of whether the "Cangjie Chapter" was independently created by Qin Xiang Li Si, it does not affect the "Cangjie Chapter" as a children's enlightenment and literacy book, and the content contained in it is far more than the level of "children's enlightenment books·······
Take the first chapter of the 'Han Cangjie Chapter' that is now circulating in various parts of the Han dynasty as an example:
——Cangjie wrote a book to teach his heirs.
The youngest son inherits the edict and is cautious and respectful.
Recite it with all your might, day and night.
Gou Wu has made history, and he will argue and govern.
超罶羣 (qún), out of the difference.
Although the beginning is hard, there must be 憙 (xǐ).
悫 (què) wish to be faithful, micro dense 瘱 (yì) ?(sè), 儇 (xuān) 侫 Qi disease.
Putting aside the life maxims, right and wrong, and even Qin Xiang Li Si's personal ideology and philosophy, the rare words in these sixty words alone are no less than five fingers!
Not to mention the young children who are out of the enlightenment and literacy stage, they are famous people who are rich in learning and famous in local counties, and when they see the first chapter of this "Cangjie Chapter" again when they become adults, they are likely to be stuck, and even find that they don't know a lot of words!
This is the case with the first chapter, not to mention the dozens of chapters that follow.
- In Chapter 2? (yáo)、?? (yíng);
耆 (shì) and 襃 (bāo) in Chapter 3;
疢 (chèn), 欬 (kài), 捾 (wo), 亟 (jí), 爨 (cuàn), 嬛 (qióng) in Chapter 4·······
It is no exaggeration to say that even in the later generations of nine-year compulsory education, and even the scholars who 'learned' under higher education, when they saw these words, they would inevitably hold their foreheads with their hands and even cover their faces with their sleeves.
The fifty-five chapters of "Cangjie Chapter", in addition to these rare words that can make intellectuals embarrassed even in later generations, also contain the ideological and philosophical essence of Li Si, Zhao Gao, and Hu Wujing·······
Strictly speaking, Liu Ying only agrees that "Cangjie Chapter" is a reference for enlightenment reading, and only the whole "Cangjie Chapter" is only 3,300 words, but not even a single word is repeated·······
As for this moment, why Liu Ying is holding a volume of "Cangjie Chapter" in his hand, shaking his head and sighing in this huge Xuanshu Palace, it is not that he feels sorry for the emperor's eldest son when he is less than four years old, and he has to learn such an obscure 'allusion to the sages'.
——Unlike later generations, in the Han family, the education of the princes was already set when the first Taizu Emperor Liu Bang ascended the throne.
For example, the ordinary prince was enlightened at the age of three, the king was crowned at the age of six, and the prince was enlightened at the age of three, plus he began to study the scriptures and allusions of the sages at the age of six, all of which are the ancestral system of the Han family for a long time.
Liu Ying himself is better, when the first emperor Liu Bang ascended the throne, Liu Ying was eight years old, and then after a few years of study, he drove the duck to the shelves and inherited the throne;
But from Liu Ying onwards, the prince was enlightened at the age of three, the king was crowned a vassal at the age of six, and the prince was enlightened at the age of three and began to learn at the age of six, but it will become a custom that cannot be beaten.
For this, Liu Ying doesn't feel that there is anything wrong.
Gai is different from the princes and county kings who led the court and were supported by the world in later generations, and even the royal relatives who were raised as pigs in the future: the princes of the Han family, except for the princes who will inherit the throne in the future, everyone's future is to become a prince and king with real power!
In the territory of the princes and kings themselves, except for the transfer of troops, taxation, and the revision of laws and tax systems, everything else is the responsibility of the princes and kings themselves and the 'court' of the vassal states, and the central court will not interfere at all!
In other words: after the death of each Han emperor, the crown prince inherits the throne of the entire world, and the rest of the princes will also become scattered in the Kanto region of the 'soil emperors'.
Therefore, it is very necessary to cultivate the prince with a higher standard, and even the standard of the prince.
From this point of view, let the princes experience the ideology and philosophy left by Qin Xiang Li Si, CRRC Fu Ling Zhao Gao, and Taishi Ling Hu Wujing in the "Cangjie Chapter" from the age of three, although it is a little out of place, it is barely reasonable.
- Elite education, yes.
But for the people, those who even have to count with their fingers on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and even have to calculate remuneration as an auxiliary tool, such an 'elite education' is obviously a little inappropriate.
The reason why elite education can be named the word 'elite' is precisely because this kind of education method must concentrate huge educational resources on a very small part of the elite class, so as to ensure that under this education method, everyone who is cultivated can reach the qualified, or even 'good' or above!
It is naturally no problem to educate the prince in such an educational way, and it is also necessary to educate the future princes and emperors;
However, if this kind of education is applied to the general education of training and selecting officials, it is obviously a bit whimsical.
- You must know that even in the later generations, elite education is only a scarce resource that only a very few people can enjoy!
In today's barren and backward era, it is no exaggeration to say that even literacy is already a power that only a very small number of people can enjoy!
In this context of the times, if elite education is used to raise the threshold of education, let alone the selection of enough officials to promote the centralization of power, it is difficult to ensure the daily operation of the regime!
Therefore, the reason why Liu Ying thought about "Cangjie Chapter" was to make a bold attempt.
Try to expand the basic plate of the world's 'literati' by lowering the threshold of education, or at least lowering the threshold of enlightenment and literacy, so as to provide a large enough candidate base for the system of selecting officials through examinations in the future.
——In later generations, the Chinese nation will always complain: Of the 140,000 people in China, can't they choose eleven people who can play football?
But what these people don't know is that among the 140,000 people in China, there are only a few thousand, less than 10,000 officially registered professional athletes;
When the head coach of the national youth team wants to select a national youth team of 30 players from a certain age group, such as between the ages of 13 and 15, there are often only 300 or 500 people to choose from.
In stark contrast, the countries that appear in the quarterfinals of the Mercury Cup all year round have a reserve of millions of professional athletes, although they have a population base of tens of millions;
For the same youth team, the number of young athletes of a certain age group available for these countries to choose from is often a huge number of hundreds of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands.
To put it bluntly, the problem of few literati and few officials encountered by the Han family today is essentially the same as that of Chinese football in later generations.
Without a sufficient base, the overall quality cannot be guaranteed, and the internal competition is fierce enough;
At the same time, the lack of base and the decline of quality, in turn, will lead more parents to have a pessimistic attitude towards this, and further exacerbate the reduction of the base and the decline of quality, thus entering a vicious circle of 'the fewer people, the worse the work, the fewer people will be'.
Fortunately, unlike the pessimistic attitude of later generations towards Chinese football, the attitude of the Han family towards 'knowledge' can be said to be 'rushing' per capita.
As long as there is an opportunity, no one will give up the opportunity to read two words and read two pages!
In such a friendly environment, Liu Ying wants to expand the base of readers, which is obviously twice the result with half the effort.
Although the nine-year compulsory education is a bit whimsical, and the general education is still a little far away, the basic education to a certain extent and within a certain range is the future that Liu Ying has the ability to look forward to.
And in order to achieve this goal, the first problem that Liu Ying needs to solve is the "Cangjie Chapter" held by Liu Ying in his hands at this moment.
"Uh-huh·······"
"Three Character Sutra?"
While thinking about it, a familiar melody that remained in her memory involuntarily appeared in Liu Ying's mind, and she even recited it involuntarily.
"At the beginning of man, nature is good; Sex is similar, Xi is far away·······"
"It is the fault of the father to raise or not to teach; If the teaching is not strict, the teacher is lazy ···········"
In the memory, the scattered memory was read out softly, and a touch of relief finally appeared on Liu Ying's face.
As a time-traveler who has seen Liu Bang, the Taizu of the Han Dynasty, Liu Ying's sense of Confucianism is obviously slightly different from that of most people in later generations.
But even so, Liu Ying still has to admit that this enlightenment reading written by the famous minister Wang Yinglin in the Southern Song Dynasty - the Three Character Classic, can be described as the most 'black' academic achievement of Confucianism.
The easy-to-understand content and the value proposition that is highly consistent with the Chinese cultural background all make Liu Ying a little unable to resist the urge to 'plagiarize', wanting to make this Chinese masterpiece appear in the Han dynasty more than 100 years BC in advance.
It's just that different times naturally mean different value propositions;
Some of the deeds recorded in the "Three Character Classic" also need to be appropriately revised by Liu Ying in order to be more in line with the background of the Han dynasty today.
- Especially those things that happened after the Han Dynasty and before the Song Dynasty, even if Liu Ying didn't change it, no one had heard of it at all, right?
Thinking of this, Liu Ying finally slowly straightened up from the couch, lowered her head, and took a deep look at the "Cangjie Chapter" in her hand;
Then, this volume of Han Cangjie, which was regarded by the people as the 'century-old foundation of the clan', was thrown to his side by Liu Ying like a shoe.
As a brilliant crystallization of Chinese culture, "Cangjie Chapter" is undoubtedly a precious spiritual wealth exclusive to the Chinese nation.
But as an enlightenment book, Cangjie undoubtedly completely failed its historical mission.
Compared with enlightenment, Liu Ying still agrees with the Cangjie chapter, as a famous book like "The Art of War" and "The Spring and Autumn of a certain Family", or a famous classic, for mature scholars who have been enlightened and enrolled.
As for the task of enlightenment, I am afraid that Liu Ying still needs to personally go down and customize a suitable children's book for Chinese children for thousands of years to come·······
"Engraving ·······"
"Uh-huh··········"
With a thoughtful murmur, Liu Ying finally got up from the couch and straightened his clothes as if nothing had happened.
Then, seeing Liu Ying walking outside the hall gate by herself, Yang Tian took a deep breath.
At this moment, Liu Ying was eager to go to Shaofu to see the 'important weapon of the country' that he had instructed Yangchengyan before.
Only this time, Liu Ying didn't need to take the imperial chariot as usual, surrounded by hundreds of guards, to Shanglin Yuan, which was hundreds of miles away.
——The Shaofu Office, as well as the Shaofu Office, are located in the Weiyang Palace.
And the secret project, which Liu Ying described as 'the important weapon of the country', was also deliberately arranged by Liu Ying in the Shaofu room, in an inconspicuous side courtyard··········
