In the scriptures, it is believed that the liver is open to the eyes, such as the light of the sun and the moon, and the mirror of the five elements. The "Neijing Jing" also absorbed the concept of "five visceral gods" in the "Chapters and Verses of the River Gong Laozi" and the "Taiping Sutra", and developed into three parts, eight scenes and twenty-four gods, believing that all parts of the human body are inhabited by gods. These gods are different from supernatural gods, but "functional gods" who govern the physiological activities of the human body. This also reflects the correct understanding of the function of human organs in ancient times, but they attributed the master of human organ function to God, which is obviously wrong.

The "Inner Scene Sutra" also elaborates on the "Meditation Method". In the early Taoist "Taiping Sutra", there is a saying that the five internal organs and all diseases can be eliminated, and the "Neijing Jing" inherits this idea and further develops it. It is believed that "contemplating a hundred thoughts and seeing the joints" requires contemplating the hundred gods in the body, breathing up and down as one and eliminating distracting thoughts. The liver belongs to the oriental wood, the main green, so the liver qi is vigorous and clear and long, such as the main spring of the wood of the east, the liver is the foundation of vitality, close the eyes and meditate on the five internal organs of the body, and the internal organs correspond, on the five-colored clouds, such as the sun, moon and stars, the light is bright and clear, and you can see the internal organs for a long time. "Inward view" is an important idea in the method of contemplation, which refers to the scene in which the practitioner closes his eyes and meditates, and after he has immersed his mind in meditation, he can look inside the body and be filled with divine energy, so that the body can be clear and penetrating. "The lungs are the golden palace, above the five organs, like a canopy.

The boy and the white cloud both refer to the lungs. When the wheezing is uncertain, the breathing is not smooth, and the body is not happy, you can quickly think about the lungs, and you can reconcile the six qi without disaster. About the Kidney God: "In the Xuanque Garden, the palace of the kidneys, there is a boy in the Xuantian Temple,...... Cangjin cloud clothes dancing dragon flag,...... Hundreds of diseases and thousands of disasters should be saved, and the two water kings are protégés, so that people can live forever for nine days. "The kidneys are the palace of water. Xuanque Garden, metaphorically refers to the outer shape of the kidney. The boy and the water king both refer to the kidney gods. When a person is sick, he should immediately think about the kidney spirit, so that he can turn evil into good fortune, avoid illness and ascend to heaven and become an immortal.

"Three Dantian" and "Neijing Jingjing" put forward the theory of "Three Dantian". The name of the Three Dantian has not yet appeared in the early Taoist texts prior to this sutra. "Taiping Sutra" and "Dadong Zhenjing" mention mud pills, hearts, umbilicus and other related names, and only in the "Neijing Sutra" does the concept of "three dantians" be clearly proposed. Dantian is divided into upper, middle and lower, so the cooperation "Sanda". There is a god living in each dantian, so there are "three gods". Zhongdantian refers to the heart, also known as Jianggong. The sutra says: "The six internal organs and five internal organs are all in the heart of the heavenly scriptures, and the self-eternal life of day and night" is that the six internal organs and five internal organs are closely related to each other and jointly maintain the normal operation of the human body. If people want to keep the middle dantian, they will not give up, and they will live forever.

Under the dantian, also known as the sea of qi, the gate of essence, the name of Guan Yuan, the door of life, etc., three inches below the umbilicus. The scriptures tell about the importance of the lower dantian: "Either the essence or the fetus is different from the prescription, and the nuclear child is combined to extend the life of Huamang." "The Taoist Sutra believes that the lower dantian is the foundation of human life, the gateway of yin and yang, and the essence of the five qi; It is the place where men hide sperm and women hide the fetus, and there are true gods and children living in it, so it is called "life gate", "birth gate" or "birth palace". "Nuclear child" refers to the name of the yin and yang god in the palace, also called "Bo Tao", and the word "Heyan". If people want to guard the dantian and think about the god of yin and yang, then the qi of yin and yang will not fade and life will not wither.

The Three Yellow Courts correspond to the Three Dantians, and the "Neijing Jingjing" also puts forward the theory of the Three Yellow Courts. Shanghuangting Palace is in the brain, corresponding to Shangdantian; The Zhonghuang Ting Palace is also consistent with the Zhongdantian, both in my heart; It's just that the Lower Huangting Palace is in the spleen, which is inconsistent with the Lower Dantian. All in all, the "Neijing Jingjing" is based on the three dantian and the three yellow courts as the hub, focusing on the three parts, eight scenes and twenty-four true gods, emphasizing the accumulation of essence as the key to longevity, that is, "immortals and Taoists are not gods, and they are tired and tired to think that they are true".

The content of the Exterior Scene Sutra is in the form of a seven-character rhyme, describing the key to cultivating and contemplating the method, but the style of writing is slightly different. The language should be concise and plain, with clear words and smooth meaning. The "Exterior Scene Sutra" was originally not divided into chapters, and the Wuchengzi Note was divided into three parts: upper, middle and lower, as for the same content as the "Interior Scene Sutra", it will not be introduced, and the following will be introduced in several aspects that are different from the "Interior Scene Sutra".

The first is about the method of exhaling qi. Emphasizing this aspect, such as "the giant tortoise induces qi to the spiritual root" and "breathes into the dantian", it is said that people should follow the example of the turtle of longevity and draw qi to the dantian to maintain the vitality in the body. Another example: "People eat all the grains and the five flavors, and eat the Taihe Yin and Yang Qi alone", "Breathe in the Lu to compensate for themselves, and the son is blessed after the completion of the body", which refers to the fact that ordinary people eat the five grains and taste the five flavors, and the shape of those who practice the Huang Ting Jing only eats the Tai and Yin and Yang Qi to enrich the vitality in the body.

The "Taiping Sutra" advocates that "people want to live, when love and respect the spirit of the gods", the "Neijing Sutra" also emphasized: "Urgently guard the essence of the room do not leak in vain, and the treasure can live for a long time when closed." The "Exterior Jingjing" also emphasizes the significance of solid essence and treasure essence, such as "immortality should be cautious in the middle of the house, and abandon the donation of lewd and vulgar essence...... The door of the closed sub-essence can live for a long time", "the urgent solid-sub-essence is self-sustaining,...... The spirit is still rejuvenated".

The third is the idea of tranquility and desirelessness. The "Exterior Sutra" repeatedly emphasizes this kind of thinking, and expounds it in several places: "Things have a natural way and are not annoying, the heavy arch is not for the body, the void dwells in the curtain, and the loneliness is silent", "Nourish one's life and guard nothingness, and be tranquil and self-happy, and think about nothingness", "The body of the child is still self-controlled, and the quiet and inactive spirit remains", "Tranquility and no desire to raise the stems of Hua, and taking Xuanqi can lead to life", etc., all of which emphasize that cultivators should be tranquil and desireless, quiet and self-controlled. These ideas are the inheritance of Taoist philosophical ideas represented by Lao Zhuang, and have been developed and applied to the cultivation of contemplation.

In terms of rewriting the content of the "Outer Scene Sutra", the "Inner Scene Sutra" not only mainly talks about the gods inside the body, but also talks about the things outside the body, that is, the sun, moon and stars. The general process is to adjust the vitality in the body and combine it with the external qi of the sun, moon and stars that it has ingested. This method is mentioned in several places in the scriptures, "out of the sun and into the moon to breathe and store", "go high to the sun and the moon and I go to the road, Yu Yi is good and protects each other, but to see that Yuqing is empty and old, and can return to the face and fill the blood brain." "If you think about the sun, moon and stars, you will have the corresponding immortals to protect you, and you can return to Zhang Yan, so that the essence is full of blood and brain.

Whether it is to contemplate the gods in the body, or to contemplate the sun, moon and stars outside the body, the "Inner Jingjing" emphasizes that the cultivation of the method of contemplation must be sincere and ascetic, "the way is not troublesome and the truth is preserved", "everything can be stored in the Xuanzhen, and the spirit cannot be lost", "day and night seven days of thinking and not sleeping, the son can do this for a long time, and the accumulation of success is not natural, it is from sincerity and specialization", all of which emphasize that cultivation must be concentrated and unswerving, and only in this way can we be able to ascend to the immortal and enter the Tao.
