The gods of the dwarves of the medieval warhammer world
Dwarves worship and revere their ancestral gods (theAncestorGods)
The main deities are: Grungni, the god of mines and blacksmiths, the husband of Valaya.
Valaya, the goddess of healing and protection.
Grimnir the Fearless, the god of warriors, brother of Grujini.
There are also some sub-gods:
Gazul, lord of the underworld, patron saint of the dead dwarves.
Smednir, Ore Shaper, son of Glengini.
Thungni, the ancestral god of the rune blacksmith and the younger brother of Smidnir.
Morgrim, the ancestral god of engineers, son of Grimnir.
Glengini
Glengini is one of the three main dwarven ancestral gods, the other two being his brother Grimnir and his wife Valaya. Glengini is the god of mines and blacksmiths, and is the main god of the dwarves. In dwarven mythology, he was the first creature in the world to dig rocks, mine them and cast them into iron, and he later taught the craft to the dwarves. In this way he gave the dwarves the tools and methods to defend themselves against their enemies.
Glengini was both an artist and a warrior god. His main doctrine, the oath of honor (oath), was the cornerstone of dwarven society. His largest is the temple located in Fort Azul (karak Azul). Glengini had two sons, Smidnir the Ore Shaper and Tengnir, the ancestor of the rune blacksmiths.
Gazur
Gazur is a secondary ancestral god, the protector of the dead. Back in the time of the ancestral gods, Gazur thought about the death of his race. After reflection, Gazur developed a tradition of dwarves avenging their ancestors, whether their enemies were dead or alive. He also found runes named after him and his relatives: Grungni, Valaya, and Grimnir. These "signature runes" give the ancestral gods and their followers the power to defeat the most corrupt of enemies.
Gazur is a melancholy-looking dwarf with a black explosive hairstyle and a gray-striped beard, especially on his sideburns and mouth. He is usually seen in the form of a black cloak cloaked in black iron armor and carries a runic greatsword Zharrvengryn "Flaming Vengeance".
Smidnell
Smidnir was an important dwarven deity, as he managed the refining and forging of ores. In dwarven mythology, Smidnir was the one who taught his brother Tengni metalwork and handicrafts. It was the two sons of Glengini and Valaya who forged some of the greatest runic weapons used by the dwarven gods and legendary dwarven kings - including the magical warhammer Ghal-Maraz, once belonging to the High King Kurgan and later gifted to the Sigmar Heldenhammer.
Smidnir is often depicted as an unarmed muscular dwarf in a light apron, his beard simply braided and wrapped behind his shoulders to prevent the forged flames from igniting it. In his right hand is the rune hammer Azulokrid, "MetalCrafter".
Tengni
Tengni, the child of Glengini and Valaya, is the god of rune magic and rune blacksmiths. According to dwarven mythology, Tengni dug deep into the earth during theLongMigration. He spent a long time in a place he called Ankor Bryn, the "Glittering Realm". When he reappeared, Tengani handed over the secret of rune magic to the dwarves. Tengany discovers that only he, his father, and a handful of his descendants have the talent to use rune spells. Tengni and his followers strive to forge powerful weapons in response to the catastrophe that Glengini predicted would befall the dwarves.
With the help of his brother Smidnir, Tengni crafted some of the most powerful runic weapons in the world. A few of them have been lost in the long war, but many remain in the families of the Dwarven kings and the most powerful rune lords. Tengni is described as having reddish-brown hair. He usually wears heavy armor with his own runes carved into his breastplate. He holds a rune tool in one hand, representing his strength and skill as a rune lord. In the other hand, he holds a runic warhammer called the "EnduringWarRune" of karaz-Kazakrhun.
Mogrim
Mogrim is the son of Grimnir and Valaya, the first dwarven engineer...... He invented and taught his clan the techniques of building war engines and other mechanisms. Before chaos came, Mogrim and his tribe built various types of ballistas and trebuchets, and designed traps at the forefront of the line against the terror invaders prophesied by Glengini.
In the first Chaos Invasion that followed, Mogrim followed Grim Nir to close the doors of the subspace. At the request of his relatives, Mogrim reluctantly returned to his people, but after the Chaos army was driven back to the north, Mogrim returned to the deepest part of the world with the other dwarven ancestral gods, and his mission was accomplished. Mogrim is depicted as a dwarf dressed in armor and carrying a set of tools with him. It is often described as having dust in your hair and motor oil on your hands and beard. Mogrim carries with him a battle axe from his father, Grimnier, named Onkegruni "WidowMaker".
