Chapter 447: Colleagues in China (I)

When I was in Russia, I didn't do a lot of translation work, but I didn't seem to be a full-time translator.

It's only now that I'm really starting to understand where the focus of translation is.

In my current company, the CEOs not only don't like to get too involved in the business, but are even very wary of and repulsive about translation. To say that they don't respect the translation or is inaccurate, I think they are deliberately suppressing the translation.

Sergei demanded that the head of the department where his company was located must be proficient in the foreign language to be used. He would never have a Chinese interpreter for the Chinese marketing manager and an Arabic interpreter for the Arab marketing manager. There is no concept of having a translator for any manager at all.

How can you work without words? He even asked Anton to communicate in German, which he was not very good at.

Being able to communicate with customers in the area he is responsible for without barriers is the most basic requirement of Sergei for his department manager.

Therefore, I subjectively think that none of our department managers here are actually qualified to develop foreign markets, but these managers feel that they are the most competent, as long as there is a good translator, they can be invincible.

It's no wonder that the translators in the company are so dissatisfied. The composition and business model of this group are already too problematic.

Our group is really an original ecological enterprise with its own characteristics formed in a special environment.

I looked at Jia Yi, who was sitting next to me. To be honest, I really don't know how they all came to this unit except for Xiaobai.

This Jia translator, who is about the same age as me, is called Jia Zhijie.

I noticed that she was wearing a very fashionable black and gray color-blocked dress today, and it was the first time I noticed Jia Zhijie's outfit.

Interestingly, I never seemed to pay attention to what Jia Zhijie was wearing, and she was able to give me zero impression of what she was wearing. Jia Zhijie is the most insensitive person I know about wearing clothes. I wonder how she managed to do that.

However, contrary to the impression I received from her outfit, I was deeply impressed by Jia Yi's personality and facial expressions.

She always has an indifferent attitude towards people, and seems to be dismissive of the outside world, but this is completely an illusion.

When everyone else is busy with their own affairs, Jia Zhijie has the energy to eavesdrop on others with his eyes down. Not only is she super sensitive to the people and things around her, but she also likes to inquire about gossip.

Jia Zhijie rarely talks about his "great achievements" in the office like Hao Yiyi. But she likes to stir up conversations. When others discuss something, a clear mocking smile will appear on Jia Yi's face to respond to everyone's words.

Jia Zhijie graduated from Lanzhou University with a major in Russian, although she does not have a dazzling diploma from a top famous university such as Gao Translation, but her translation skills are still good. At least it's a lot higher than Xiaobai and Hao Yi.

Jia Zhijie's conversation also has the loftiness and conceit of a typical professional woman. Especially when getting along with her peers, this characteristic is particularly obvious.

Jia Zhijie and I occasionally communicate with each other, but we don't seem to have much in common.

If I want to say that the most eye-catching of our translators is naturally the last person I saw Hao Yi.

Hao Translation's big name is Hao Cuifang. From the name, it seems that the cultural level of her parents can be seen. In addition, Hao Yiyi only went to a college with a college major in Russian at the college level, which may be that the temperament of the students there is very different from that of key universities. In short, I feel that Hao Yiyi has less of the sour and rotten spirit of intellectuals, and his taste, words and deeds are closer to the citizen class.

Hao Cuifang, whose appearance is at most average, is very confident in her charm. Even though she's the bustiest lady in our office, that doesn't stop her from choosing colorful outfits for herself. However, she really didn't dress up in vain, and if I want to say that the outfits of the people in our office have the most impact on me, it is Hao Cuifang.

It's different from our female translators, who are somewhat reserved. Hao Translator is very active and enthusiastic.

Contrary to her high-profile remarks that she likes to show off, Hao Yiyi has never had any arrogance, no matter who she talks to, she can take the initiative to chat a few words.

I don't know if she and the female translator in our office had a holiday, anyway, I feel that the three of them, including Xiaobai, are a little repulsed by Hao Cuifang.

Perhaps, because I am a latecomer, I have not yet intervened in the rights and wrongs between them; Or because I gave Hao Cuifang face when we met for the first time, and he had a good impression of me; Otherwise, because Xiao Hao's workstation and I are next to each other, it is more convenient to talk.

In short, I feel that Hao Cuifang is the most enthusiastic person to me in our office.

Unlike Jia Zhijie's harsh speech habits, Hao Cuifang habitually likes to praise others. I think this may be one of the important reasons why Hao Yi feels so easy-going and welcoming.

Hao Cuifang likes to praise others, not to mention the CEOs and managers of our unit, even to the girls in finance, personnel and the front desk, Hao Translator never spares her praise.

Maybe it's because we're so close, but Hao Cuifang likes to talk to me, although I don't know if she's talking to me to show off. She does, though, compliment me a few words from time to time.

For example, she will say "Linna, your skin is so good, white is good, you look good in anything". Looking at her fair skin, I politely responded, "Your skin is good, white and tender, and you can control any color of clothing." Translator Hao said with a smile, "This skin is good, it's natural, I can't help it!" 》

Usually, Hao Cuifang said these words when the three female translators were in the office. And our three female colleagues basically block her words.

Their reaction made me involuntarily notice again the rough and dark skin of Jia Zhijie and Xiaobai, and the queen's translation of the not very dark but speckled faces.

Over time, I have discovered that although Hao Cuifang likes to compliment others, I have never heard her compliment anyone else in our office except me.

Interestingly, I think Hao Cuifang, who likes to chat, said that the function of complimenting people is far stronger than her quarrel. Compared to the three female translators in our office, who were more verbally aggressive, she had absolutely no advantage.

As a result, she seems to be very reluctant to engage in verbal conflicts with people. Even if, sometimes, including Xiaobai, would speak coldly to her, at this time, Hao Cuifang ignored them as if she didn't understand what they meant.
