Chapter 7: The Girl on the Train
The last few days of August were as comfortable as ever. His father, Justin, was not very interested in the things he bought, because he knew he didn't understand; Liana restarted her identity as a Muggle mother, ignoring magical books and objects. Norin flipped through textbooks and teased Hua Luo every day, and the days were not shocking.
Norlin felt compelled to say goodbye to Harry. After blowing a few whistles upstairs at the opposite side, he went straight out the door and came across the road. It was a code for him and Harry for several years.
"Norin!" After a while, Harry trotted over and greeted excitedly.
"We probably won't see each other for a year." Norin looked at the look of doubt in Harry's eyes and said with a smile, "I'm going to school tomorrow." ”
"Eton College...... Norin, you're amazing. Harry adored from the bottom of his heart. Although he had a low status in the Dursleys family and was often oppressed by Dudley, he still knew the outside world very well. Eton College was undoubtedly a presence that made him awe-inspired.
"I'm probably going to be sent to a juvenile camp in another year...... Harry said, his voice lowering.
Norin shrugged, lifted his bowed head, and said meaningfully, "Don't worry. You'll know where I'm going next year. ”
"See you next year, then." Norin knew Harry couldn't be out for long, or Uncle Vernon would start roaring again. He turned and walked away, leaving Harry scratching his head for no apparent reason.
Norin returns home and Justin and Liana are sitting on the couch watching a reality TV show. Norlin cleared his throat and said, "Dad, we're going to King's Cross tomorrow morning, shall we?" ”
"I think so." Justin's eyes were still fixed on the TV screen, "It just so happens that tomorrow I'm going to London to meet a client." It's strange to say, is there a station called 9 and 3/4......"
Liana sneered and said, "Little Norlin, when you get to platform 9 tomorrow, just wait and observe how the people next to you get in." I don't think you will believe what I tell you now. ”
"Okay." Norin naturally knew the method, so he had no objection to Liana's words. He went back upstairs and began to pack his luggage.
The suitcase wasn't big, just enough to fit his stuff. A few magic textbooks, a few robes, some potion powder, and equipment. Suddenly, he tilted his head and picked up a small wooden sword. Norlin thought for a moment and shoved the small wooden sword into the compartment of the suitcase. When he was done, he took out a copy of "Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Defense" and read it on his bed.
Norlin woke up early. He was so excited and nervous that he didn't even have the heart to get some sleep. He hurriedly folded the quilt and paced around the room thinking wildly, his steps so frivolous that he could float at any moment. After about an hour, he felt that his feet were sore, and he walked downstairs with a suitcase in one hand and a gray cage in the other.
After breakfast, with Liana's usual kiss and blessing, Norlin and Justin got into the car. They arrived at King's Cross Station at about 10:50. After helping Norlin move the suitcase out of the trunk, Justin rubbed Norlin's head and said apologetically, "Dad is going to be late, so little Norlin can go in by himself." You've been so smart since you were a child, this little thing shouldn't be difficult for you. ”
"It's okay Dad, I can take care of myself." Norin said, nodding his little head.
"Then I'm leaving. Happy new semester! Justin smiled and waved, got into the car and started the engine and left.
"Hmm...... Now, let's go to the station. Norlin touched his chin and said.
Norin walked over to Platform 9, where there were quite a few Muggles. From time to time, they looked anxiously at their watches, and no one gave an eleven-year-old a second glance.
Norlin walked towards the ticket gate, like a small boat in the crowd. About three-quarters of the way to platforms 9 and 10, he took a deep breath and slammed into it with his eyes closed.
When I opened my eyes again, the scene was completely new. A crimson steam locomotive leaned against a platform packed with passengers. The sign on the train reads: Hogwarts Express, eleven o'clock. Norin looked back and saw that the place where the ticket gate had been had was now a wrought iron archway with the words: Platform 9 and 3/4.
Norlin walked forward with his suitcase, and Warlor's cage rested on top of it. The smoke of the steam locomotive swirled over the chirping crowd, and cats of all colors walked through the feet of the people. Standing next to the platform were mostly adult wizards, who were telling the children inside the train. The sentence that Nolin was a little concerned about was: "George! Fred! If you still dare to make trouble this semester, I'll consider using a roaring letter to reward you with a more high-grade reward! ”
"Got it, Mom." At the boarding door of the last few carriages, the two red-haired twins replied with a smile and hurriedly got into the car.
Norlin looked at the yelling woman. Her figure was chubby, and even if she shouted at this time, it was difficult to hide her kind eyes.
"Is this Molly Weasley...... Nolin muttered before getting into the car.
Almost all the carriages were filled with students. Norlin pushed his suitcase forward, looking for a carriage that looked like it was empty. As he walked to the end of the train, Norlin was about to stand in the aisle when a one-man compartment came into his sight.
Norin was overjoyed, quickly opened the carriage door, pushed the box and walked in, and said as he went, "Excuse me, can I sit here?" As you know, there aren't many vacancies right now...... Forehead? ”
Norin was stunned with some surprise. Sitting inside was a girl who came out of a comic, and this girl he had seen in Diagon Alley. Her long hair fell to her waist and she had a book on her knees. At this time, she heard the sound and raised her head, her big beautiful eyes revealing a noble and cold aura that no one should enter.
Nolin kind of knew why no one was in the car. But he has always been thick-skinned, and grinned: "If you didn't speak, then I came in." ”
The girl's eyes kept on him, watching him lift the suitcase and put it down on the partition, and then sit down in the chair and let out a sigh of relief. After a while, she spoke, "We've met?" You seem to know me. The voice was ethereal and crisp, but still a little cold.
"Hmm...... See you once in Diagon Alley. As Norlin spoke, the train shuddered, a puff of smoke erupted from the front of the car, and the body slowly started.
"Hello, my name is Norin Davis." Norlin smiled and reached out.
The girl looked at his hand quietly, and when Nolin felt that her face was about to freeze with laughter, she reached out and let go of it after shaking it.
"Elena Selwyn." With that, she lowered her head and returned her gaze to the book.
"Selwyn......" Norlin muttered in his heart.
The girl bowed her head to read a book, and Norlin naturally did not bother without interest. He pulled out a thin piece of paper and pulled out his wand. Then I opened the "Elementary Mantra, Standard", studied it carefully, and still read it in my mouth. It's something he's been doing since he's been back from Diagon Alley.
"Yugadim Leviosa ......" he stared at the tissue paper on the table, waving his wand unprofessionally. The small piece of paper seemed to be gently blown by the wind, and the lower right corner was slightly upturned.
"Still can't do it." Norin exhaled, "It seems that the way the wand is used is really important. ”
"You can't use magic outside of school." Elena suddenly raised her head, frowned slightly, and said, "Besides, we haven't enrolled in school yet. ”
Norin shrugged noncommittally and said nonchalantly, "It's just an unsuccessful spell - besides, you're not going to be so boring to report me, are you?" ”
Elena opened her mouth, but stopped talking. At this moment, the door of the carriage was opened with a bang, and a kind voice said, "Aha! Kids, would you like a snack? ”
Norin looked up and saw a middle-aged woman in red pushing a cart full of snacks, smiling honestly and bowingly.
"Thank you, I don't-" Norlin just wanted to politely decline, but casually caught a glimpse of Elena who seemed to be secretly swallowing, and immediately changed his words with a smile, "Oh, I mean I don't eat weird beans." Of course, I'm happy to try the other foods. ”
Norlin spent 5 sicos on a whole bunch of quirky treats like chocolate frogs, pumpkin pies, licorice wands, and more. He placed them on the table, picked up a licorice wand and nibbled on it, and the smell of herbs was in his mouth. He handed Sarina a chocolate frog and said, "Here." ”
"No, no." Elena tried her best to focus on the book on her lap and whispered her refusal. It's just the "cooing" sound of her stomach at the right time that made her little face red.
Norlin snorted and laughed. At this time, the girl has no appearance that no one should enter, and she looks so cute.
"Just when I lent it to you. I'll have to pay it back later. Norlin struggled to stifle a smile.
Elena's eyes lit up. She hesitated for a while, but still took the chocolate frog and said seriously, "Thank you." I'll pay it back. ”
Norlin leaned back comfortably in his chair and continued to study his spell. The boy and girl each ate their own snacks, and silence returned to the carriage.
