Chapter Eighty-Seven: The Beginning Bears Fruit
Sitting on the couch, Isadele followed Norin's instructions and took the initiative to summon the curse scarre.
Taylor Selwyn closed his eyes in distress, and Norlin gasped.
Her arms, neck, and even her face were covered in black marks, so dark that they were faintly blood-red, making Norin feel like he was staring into the abyss.
Elena's eyes were red and she covered her mouth sharply.
"Hope it didn't scare you."
Isadele's face turned pale instantly, but she still laughed and teased.
Norin's respect for her was raised again. Just by looking at the marks, you can guess what kind of pain she is suffering. The marks seemed to be devouring her blood, emitting a silent.
The massive magical fluctuations that Norin had noticed in the side hall reappeared, and the study was filled with a furious atmosphere. He seemed to see a demonic demon roaring at him behind Isadele, as if it were silently mocking.
Norlin took out his wand, feeling a little hot on it, and the wand seemed to sense the tremendous pressure.
"Seal the Demon Seal!"
Norin whispered, his wand trembling slightly, and most of Norin's magic poured out of the spell.
The white beam of light reappeared, surrounding Isadele who was sitting on the sofa for a long time. Norin took a deep breath, his wand clicked, and beams of light rushed towards Isadele's body.
Taylor Selwyn clenched his fists nervously, and Elena couldn't help but hold her breath.
Although she had succeeded, she was still young after all, and she still needed Norlin to reinforce the seal every now and then. Mom has endured it for so many years, and she is on the verge of a curse outbreak, and she is not sure what effect it can have.
The white beam of light was wrapped around the black streaks, and the light instantly dimmed. The black marks on Isadele's body seemed to come to life, and she took the initiative to attack the white beam, driving away outsiders who entered the territory without permission.
Norin's spell was losing ground, and the spell output was intermittent. He gasped slightly, sweat dripping from his forehead.
Elena carefully wiped away the sweat with her handkerchief, and her movements were extremely gentle, for fear of disturbing him.
"Give me a mana recovery potion, the stronger the effect, the better."
Norlin gritted his teeth, the wand spewing light that didn't stop for a moment. The magic power in the body is like a dam bursting, and it is rapidly consumed.
Taylor Selwyn agreed, and walked outside the study to Apparition, and when he returned, he already had a few more delicately shaped potions in his hand.
Norin glanced at it, it was the most effective mana recovery potion on the market, starting with a bottle of hundreds of Galleons, and sometimes it could even be used as a final word in a duel.
He took it and drank it down, and the magic in his body, which had been nearly dry, came back to life.
Once again, the white beam was wrapped around black streaks, but it only lightened the latter's color. The black streaks also seemed to be devouring the magic of the white beam.
Norin was extremely difficult to support, and the magic contained in the black streaks was boundless, and it was always followed by the beam of light.
Wave after wave of backlash continued, and Norlin had no choice but to terminate the mana output, and the white beam was extinguished in an instant.
Before Taylor Selwyn could show a look of disappointment, he had a solemn look in his eyes and shouted:
"Cursed Seal!"
The color of the spell was no longer white, but a bloody scarlet.
The two forces collided again, and Isadele's face was reflected with an unnatural flush.
The scarlet spell was more aggressive than the white beam, and in the blink of an eye, it enveloped the black streaks, as if to cut them off.
As if enraged, the black streak surged even more violently, engulfing all the scarlet spells.
Norlin was not surprised, and the next moment, a red silk thread hung on all the black marks.
The magic in his body was no longer sustainable, and Norlin's body shook a little, almost collapsing directly to the ground.
Taylor Selwyn hurriedly held him up, and asked with trembling lips:
"How? Did it work? ”
"A little bit of success."
Norin was helped to sit on another couch, resisting the stinging pain of mana overdraft in his mind, poured another bottle of mana recovery potion, and said with difficulty.
"The seal has only achieved a small effect, of course, it has something to do with my lack of strength. Today's seal should buy Madame a little time. ”
"How long?"
Taylor Selwyn asked, half happy and half regretful.
"About a year. It is subject to Madame's own judgment. ”
Norlin said weakly, he didn't think about anything right now, he just wanted to sleep. Magical overdrafts are definitely not fun, and every time it feels like your body is being hollowed out.
"Then go and rest, the room is ready for you."
Taylor Selwyn had more questions, and he couldn't ask them after seeing his condition. He instructed a butler to take Nolin to the guest room, while he waited anxiously in his study.
The black lines on Isadele's body gradually disappeared, and they were once again hidden in the lower layers of the skin. It didn't take long for her eyes to open faintly.
Her face was a little better, with a healthy flush. She smiled as she glanced at her husband and daughter, who were staring nervously at her.
Taylor Selwyn held her hand and asked expectantly:
"How does it feel?"
"The outbreak of the curse has been postponed, probably more than a year away. The pain seems to have diminished slightly, but what about Mr. Davis? ”
Isadele thought for a moment and said. She has long been accustomed to the feeling of pain day after day, and her sensitivity to pain will inevitably decrease.
Hearing this, Elena's nose was sour. Taylor Selwyn said distressed and delighted:
"It's good to be useful. He had already gone to his guest room to rest. ”
"There's no danger, is it?"
Isadele asked, the curse had been around for too long, and when the curse appeared, she would have lost consciousness, otherwise it would never have lasted for decades.
"No, it just seems to be expensive."
Taylor Selwyn replied, a little more emotion in his tone, "It's really hard to have this level of magic at such a young age. It's hard to imagine how far he'll grow in a few years. ”
"At that time, there will be a solution to Mom's curse."
Elena looked up and said, she had had full confidence in the boy from the night in the Forbidden Forest.
"Little Elena has done her mother a great favor this time. Finally, I don't have to bear my mother's pain anymore. ”
Isadele said with a smile and took Elena in her arms. For years, she hated herself for bringing the curse to Elena, but she couldn't do anything about it.
She has also been under the pressure of the curse since she was eight years old, and she knows the pain of the curse all too well.
Every time she saw Elena's bed trembling, she could only watch from afar with her eyes red in distress.
Elena finally couldn't help it and hid in her arms and wept silently.
