Chapter 9: Adventures in Dreams
"Ding-dong.. Ding dong.. Ding-dong"
I woke up with the sound of dripping water, and when I opened my eyes, I found that there was a haze around me, and I couldn't tell whether it was smoke, fog, or clouds.
I stood up and cried out loudly, but my throat felt like it was clogged with a ball of cotton, and I couldn't make a sound, so I gave up and groped my way forward in the fog, aimless.
When people are in a dream, they often don't realize that they are dreaming, and I am the same at this time, I can't tell whether this is real or in a dream until I wake up.
I don't know how long I walked, but I felt like there was a piece of water under my feet, and the white mist was like a white veil, blindfolding my eyes, so that I couldn't see what was under my feet.
I didn't stop, I kept walking, but the further I went, the deeper the water got until it reached my knees, and I bent down and reached out to touch it, and there was nothing.
Just as I was surprised, a huge pull suddenly pulled me into the air, and the white mist around me slowly gathered and flowed like flowing water from the place where I had been standing.
The white mist dissipated, and so did the pull, and I was slammed to the ground. I ignored the pain and hurriedly looked around.
I found myself in a large rectangular glass box, like a fish tank, and it was pitch black outside, only the inside of the box was filled with light.
I looked down at my feet, and the blackness was not the result of the absence of light. I leaned down and took a closer look at the things outside, they were clustered together, squirming outside the glass case, as if looking for an entrance into the box.
At this time, a white fog gradually began to rise in the box, getting thicker and thicker, until it completely covered the entire box. I didn't panic, I just waited quietly, and I thought that soon the fog would dissipate again.
I looked down at my watch and saw that the hand had stopped moving, and I patted it hard, but to no avail.
"Is there no power?" , I was very confused.
At this time, I was pulled into the air by the huge pull again, and the mist gathered again, still slowly flowing out of the original place, and I looked up, and the white mist that flowed outside flowed down and up, gradually converging on the top of the box.
I was thrown back to the ground again, and the dense black worms wriggled around me again.
I don't know how many times the fog flowed in and out, how many times it was repeated, or how many times I was fallen, and it all went on and on, and on and on, and on and on,
When the mist came out again, I looked around and was surprised to see a pile of golden glow not far away, and I walked over quickly, trying to find out before the white mist filled the box again.
As I got closer, a large iron box appeared in front of me, dark red in all parts, unadorned and shrouded in a layer of black smoke.
I was surprised, what was the golden light just now, was it that I was dazzled? I couldn't help but wonder.
I crouched down in front of the box, there was no lock on it, and I wondered what it contained, when I was about to open it, when suddenly lightning mixed with the white mist struck me with a 'click'.
As the thunder rolled down and the rain poured down, I felt soaking wet, but when I touched my clothes with my hands, it was very dry.
I couldn't see anything in the white fog, I just felt that I was in the water at this time, my body was sinking at a very fast speed, the cold and suffocation were constantly pouring into my brain, and I was like drowning at this time, constantly flapping my hands.
Then, I felt like I had fallen to the ground, I looked around, I couldn't see anything, but I felt like I was in the vast Gobi, surrounded by coarse sand, gravel, the wind kept howling, rolling up the dust, and the sun overhead was like a huge fireball, constantly scorching the earth.
Soon, the surroundings seemed to change again, and I felt something pass me quickly, and the earth trembled after the huge body ran past, and a long roar resounded through the heavens and the earth.
I looked up, and although I couldn't see anything, I could feel the flickering light and dark, like the sun and the moon alternate, and the stars changed.
After a long time, there were bursts of mournful wails in my ears, and it was like countless fireballs smashing towards the ground above, and the black smoke obscured the sky and the sun, and the hot lava flowed under my feet, and countless bodies fell beside me.
At this point, the fog flowed out of the glass box again, and I could see everything around me, and there was nothing but myself in the empty glass box.
"What just happened?" I stood up, confused, and it was a real feeling, like I had experienced it myself.
I didn't think too much about this problem, the contents of the box in front of me were very curious, I squatted down again, put my hands on the lid of the box, and was about to open it, only to hear a loud 'boom', the white mist poured in instantly, and before I could come to my senses, I had fallen into the white mist again.
"How can it be so fast this time?"
Before I could react, I felt like I was back in the same place I had been, and I looked around in confusion, only to feel that there were countless things running around me, they panicked, wailed in pain, and after a while, everything was calm again.
I felt something touch me, and I crouched down and stroked it gently with my hand, oval, with a little mucus on it, warm, as if I had just left my mother's body.
Just as I was immersed in joy, there was a sudden strong wind around me, a torrential flood, and the egg in my hand also turned from hot to cold, from brittle to hard, and finally became a stone, and I seemed to be back at the bottom of the water.
There was darkness all around, endless dead silence, and I don't know how long it was, my floating body seemed to be back on land, and I felt a small thing crawling out of the water under my feet, and gradually its limbs became two, from crawling to erect.
The air became moist, the sun was no longer so hot, and the barren surroundings seemed to sprout sprouts of life. I felt that the air was fresh, and I gradually felt a breeze blowing, mixed with the scent of flowers.
Just as I was immersed in the beautiful wind, the temperature around me suddenly dropped sharply, the cold wind made me shiver, and the goose-feather snow fell from above, drowning the soles of my feet, drowning my legs, and reaching my erect neck.
I was breathing hard, and my body seemed to be pressed by a mysterious force, and I couldn't move.
"Am I going to die?" A sense of powerless despair welled up in my heart, and as the last snow fell, I was completely buried in the snow.
I don't know how long it took, I felt the snow slowly melting, I felt something running overhead, I struggled to look up, and there was a white expanse, and I couldn't see anything.
As time passed, the snow that buried me fell, and I poked my head out to look around, and there was nothing but snow in the world.
I don't know how long later, I saw a herd of elephants, walking in and out of the snow, and I didn't know where they were going, and I didn't know where they were going, and I didn't know where they would return.
The sun overhead was getting hot, the temperature was getting hot, the snow had melted, and the earth was revealing to me.
By this time the fog had all flowed outside, and the things in front of me had become clear, and I looked around and saw that there was no sign of anyone but the iron box under my feet.
