penalty kick
Summer of 2010
When I was in high school, I played a soccer game
The game was muscular and tough
The whole school is watching this game
Kick to a draw, penalty shootout
It's a long process
It was my turn
The goal went in
That's the end of the game
I was standing behind the penalty spot
Hundreds of pairs of eyes are staring
It's noisy in my ears
A lot of people were talking around me
I can't hear anything
Goalkeeper Brother Dong came over and said to give him the ball
I said yes in a mess
The ball hit the left side and went in
I celebrated with the crowd cheering
Do you want to ask me if I didn't take that penalty because I was afraid?
No
The reason is ridiculous
It's because I forgot to prepare for the celebration
As hundreds of people shouted at me
I was fucking thinking that I knew the game was so much in the spotlight
I should be wearing a t-shirt with the girl's name on it
As I lead you to victory,
I took off my shirt and rushed to her to celebrate.
But, I fucking forgot to prepare.
Years later, I often think back to that moment
I actually had such an idea of pretending to be B and failed to realize it
What a pity
But I never understood why I was handing over the ball
With my personality, it's kind of incredible.
Write an essay today
I suddenly remembered this
I thought back to the situation and wrote this little story.
Think of life's ups and downs and regrets
People seemed to joke endlessly at the time
to fight against the fate that will eventually be scattered
Tomorrow emerges in prayer
It turned into hope to fight for
Were those people happier at that time than they are now?
Those people didn't live the life they wanted
Every small move has no intention of making waves
have inadvertently achieved our life today
Yes, I missed the penalty
But I don't care
I'm just a little reluctant to let me waste such a crucial moment of celebration
I couldn't remember these things from memory.
Photographs and images can never replace emotion, my friend. You know why??
Because that goal has to go in, and we're going to win.
