Chapter Forty-Eight: Dumbledore's Sight in the Mirror of Eris
As time went on, the main course and dessert at the Christmas party were exhausted.
The feast ended in the afternoon when the sun was half-setting, and the auditorium was filled with cups and plates, but it was quickly refreshed by the domestic magic of the house-elves. In this banquet, both the professors and the students were extremely happy.
At the end of the meal, Harry and the Weasley brothers, who were too full, had a snowball fight on the playground. They played like crazy all afternoon, and they had a lot of fun. It wasn't until the sun had completely set, and they were too cold to take it anymore, that they returned to the common room by the fire in their snow-soaked clothes, panting.
It was the most enjoyable Christmas of Harry's life, but there was always one thing that stuck in his mind.
It wasn't until he went to bed that he had time to think about itβ
The silver-glittering cloak of invisibility, as if it had been woven with water, and the man who gave it to him......
Harry pulled the Cloak of Invisibility out of the plain package again, letting it run over his hand, feeling smoother than silk, lighter than light.
The package also included a note telling him in beautiful and graceful handwriting that the cloak had been his father's before, and that he should use it well.
Good to use? Harry's heart pounded.
This kind of thing is used to do bad things, no matter how you think about it, it can be described as a great weapon for stealing chickens and dogs and night tours in the castle!
What kind of person is so keen to make him break the school rules and send such a magical prop?
Suddenly, Harry's eyes lit up and he felt a rush of excitement inside.
He suddenly realized that with this cloak of invisibility, the whole of Hogwarts was completely open to him! In the future, if he and Ron want to go out for a night trip, they won't be discovered by others! Wearing the Cloak of Invisibility, they can go anywhere, and Filch and Snape will never know!
Harry secretly made up his mind to go.
While his roommates were sleeping, he put on an invisibility cloak and crept out of the dormitory.

In an abandoned classroom, many dilapidated desks and chairs were stacked on the wall, showing a large black shadow in the dim candlelight. In the classroom, an upside-down wastebasket poured out a lot of fine scraps of paper, buried in the thick dust on the ground.
It's probably been a long time since it's been cleaned.
But in front of the wall facing the entrance, there was something that didn't seem to belong to this classroom, as if someone had put it there because there was no place to put it.
It is a very imposing mirror, reaching up to the ceiling, with an ornate gold frame, supported by two claw-shaped feet.
In front of the mirror stood two silver-haired figures, one looking old and the other much younger, but their actual ages were the opposite.
"Can you tell me what you called me for, Headmaster Dumbledore?" Dracula squinted at the image of the world in chaos and chaos that continued to play in the mirror, and his expression shifted a somewhat unnaturally sideways step to avoid the mirror's illumination.
"Also, isn't the Mirror of Eris the last level of the Guardian Philosopher's Stone you arranged? Why did you transfer it to this abandoned classroom again? β
Dumbledore stood in front of the Mirror of Eris, staring at the mirror in a trance.
"Before Harry can go to the fourth floor of the restricted area, I need a test to see what Harry wants most from the bottom of his heart." "It's about whether he can use his unique advantage to master the power to defeat his old enemy." β
"So you asked Professor Snape to stay up all night, and accompany Filch on the castle patrol, just to lure Potter into this classroom and let him discover the Mirror of Eris?" Dracula asked, surprised.
He somehow felt some sympathy for Snape, the tool man.
Dumbledore bowed slightly, his gaze still fixed on the image in the mirror.
Seeing Dumbledore's attentive appearance, Dracula became interested.
A wisp of transparent energy crept out of his fingertips, wrapped around the runic characters engraved on the Mirror of Eris. Then, he slowly stared at the dustless mirror.
Several figures appeared in the mirror in turn, a middle-aged man with brown-red hair and a full beard, a girl with the same hair color, and an elegant woman, these three looked intimate, and it could be roughly seen that it should be Dumbledore's family.
However, to Dracula's surprise, there was also a young man who was some distance away from Dumbledore's three family members. He had blond hair, blue eyes, and a rebellious smile on his handsome face, and looked at the old man in the mirror with a wicked smile.
Just as Dracula was about to take a closer look, the picture in the mirror suddenly disappeared.
"Professor Dracula, I guess it's not polite to peek into someone's privacy, right?" Dumbledore turned his head to look at Dracula and whispered.
"Ahem, I was a little curious for a while." Dracula, who was caught red-handed by Dumbledore for peeping, stiffened his face and coughed in embarrassment.
But then he couldn't hold back and asked, "So...... Who is that blonde-haired youth? His relationship with you seems to be very unusual. β
Dumbledore froze for a moment, and his expression suddenly became a little lonely.
"He's just a teenager who gets drunk on summer."
Dracula's unusual behavior made Dracula even more curious, and he stepped forward, ready to continue asking about the blond youth.
At this moment, Dumbledore seemed to have discovered something, and casually used a transparent barrier to hide the figures of the two on the other side of the mirror, and at the same time attached a spell for sound insulation to facilitate the conversation between the two behind the barrier.
Dracula frowned and looked at the hidden door of the classroom.
It was empty, except for the soft, light, barely audible sound of footsteps, slowly moving towards the abandoned classroom. Two slimy, greasy voices faded out of the hallway: Filch and Snape.
With his excellent hearing, Dracula sensed a man sneak into the abandoned classroom where he and Dumbledore were.
The light in his burgundy eyes flickered, and he gradually saw a little wizard in the cloak of invisibility, slowly walking to the mirror of Eris.
"It's ...... Porter? Dracula looked at the slightly blurred figure under the invisibility cloak suspiciously, and frowned at Dumbledore, "What does the invisibility cloak on Potter have to do with that one from Ignotus Peverell?" β
Normally, the Invisibility Cloak is woven from the fur of the Invisibility Beast, or made from Runivan, which resembles the Transfiguration Charm, and these Invisibility Cloaks have no effect on Dracula, and he can easily see through them.
However, Harry's invisibility cloak was different.
Dracula didn't notice Harry in the cloak of invisibility at the first time, so he channeled his magic into the pupils of his eyes. Even so, however, Harry's figure was still unclear.
"That's right, it's the legendary Deathly Hallows." Dumbledore said indifferently, as if it were just an ordinary piece of clothing, "Harry's father lent me something to study for a while, and now it's back to its owner. β
"That's a lot of money, Dumbledore." Dracula shook his head slightly, "It's a level, a Deathly Hallows, and even a special test of his mind with things like the Mirror of Eris." β
"When has the wizarding world fallen to such a point that a dark wizard not only has no one dared to pronounce his name, but even has to be defeated by a poor child who has lost his parents."
He stared into Dumbledore's eyes, his voice getting colder.
