Chapter 192: Sirius's Past
Harry's lips trembled as he looked at the letter handed by the pink-haired witch.
"I...... Am I being expelled from Hogwarts?" He asked, with his eyes closed and an expression of extreme pain.
"Expulsion? What are you thinking?" The pink-haired witch seemed to be a little embarrassed, "It's too late for the Ministry of Magic to treasure you, why would they want to fire you?"
"Huh?" Harry's eyes widened, and a wave of ecstasy welled up in his heart, "So...... I don't have to be fired?"
"Of course." The pink-haired witch nodded, "Let me introduce myself, I'm an official Auror in the Auror office of the Ministry of Magic, you can call me Tonks."
She pronounced the words "official Auror" very seriously, and still had a very proud expression on her face, for fear that others would not know that she had passed the official Auror examination this summer.
"Uh, hello, Tonks." Harry finally breathed a sigh of relief and took the letter from Tonks, "Since it's not to fire me, what does this letter prohibiting the misuse of the Department of Magic mean? You know...... I'm breaking the rules, after all."
"You're right, you did break the rules of the Ministry of Magic." Tonks nodded, "So there is always a process, the first violation of the rules will be given a warning, and no other punishment will be made."
As she spoke, she glanced in the direction of Privet Road from afar, "There is already a memory canceler who has gone over to clean up the aftermath for you, don't worry, your uncle's family won't remember what happened today!"
Harry was completely relieved, and lowered his head to open the letter in his hand, looking at what was written on it—
Mr. Potter:
We've been told that you've used an expansion spell at your lodgings at 9:12 tonight. You should be aware that underage wizards are not allowed to use magic outside of school, and that you will be expelled from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry if you do so (Reasonable Restraint of Underage Wizards, 1875, paragraph 3).
Also keep in mind that under Section 13 of the International Federation of Wizarding and Wizarding Secrecy Act, any magical activity that may attract the attention of non-members of the wizarding world (Muggles) is a serious offense.
Have a great summer!
Mafalda Hopkirk
The Ministry of Magic prohibits the misuse of the Department of Magic
……
Harry looked at the letter in his hand with some sadness and some relaxation.
Relaxed because he knew that this illegal use of magic was behind him and that he would not be expelled from Hogwarts; And the sadness is because Harry has just learned that the first time he violates the rules there will be a chance to be reminded.
If he had known about this sooner, he would have found a better opportunity to use his magic on the Dursleys and teach them a lesson!
"Oh yes, I almost forgot to get down to business!" Tonks suddenly exclaimed, interrupting Harry's musings, "Harry, is there anything else you haven't attended?"
"If there's anything else to do or something to take, then I think you need to hurry, because you probably don't know that you're in great danger right now!"
Tonks' otherwise lively expression suddenly turned serious, and she dragged Harry to a darker part of the street, where she searched around very professionally, cleaning up all suspicious things in the vicinity as the Aurors had asked them to do. ….
"Hey, why is there a big black dog here?" She saw a big black dog next to her, and she didn't pay much attention to it, just casually drove it to the other side of the street.
"I don't have anything else to take, I can get out of here at any time." Harry shook his head, taking his suitcase and Hedwig's cage, "But...... Tonks, why am I in danger?"
"I'll tell you more about this when it's safe, I need to send you to the Ministry of Magic now......" Tonks said with some urgency, "Can you make the retinue manifest?"
"Retinue revealed? What's that?" Harry asked, blankly.
"Oh, I forgot, you're just a junior yet." Tonks reluctantly covered it
His forehead, "Hmm...... Retinue manifestation is the ability to apparition with other wizards, and you grew up in a Muggle family, and there is certainly no adult wizard who taught you this."
"But it's too far from here to the Ministry of Magic, and I don't dare to take a Phantasm of a little wizard who doesn't follow the manifestation. This is a problem......
"We can take taxis and subways." Harry suggested, "Muggle transportation is actually quite convenient."
"That's not going to work." Tonks dismissed his idea, "Muggle vehicles have no protection, and if Sirius Black finds you on Muggle vehicles, I'm afraid not only will you be in danger, but you will even be affected by the Muggles around you."
She tugged at her hair, and the pink color turned into a colorful, messy color, and then a gray color.
"Sirius Black?" Harry's eyes widened in surprise before he could be curious about Tonks' changing hair color, "I seem to know the name, he's a wanted criminal on a Muggle government bounty!" What does this man have to do with the wizarding world?"
He had only seen Sirius Blake this morning in the newspaper to which Uncle Dursley's subscribe, and on the front page of Muggle newspapers, he was a dangerous murderer.
"Ah, I don't miss my mouth......" Tonks stiffened for a moment, covering his mouth with two fingers, "Forget it, it's not impossible to tell you now, we just took the opportunity to wait for my colleague to deliver the key to the Ministry of Magic."
"Listen, Harry, Sirius Blake is an extremely dangerous criminal who has just escaped from Azkaban! The Ministry of Magic judged that he was probably looking for you!"
Tonks stared into Harry's eyes as he spoke.
What the two of them didn't notice was that not far from the street, the ears of a big black dog that had just been driven away quietly stood up.
"So, that wanted criminal named Sirius Black is actually a wizard?" Harry asked, shocked, "Then why did he get published in Muggle newspapers?"
"Because the Ministry of Magic contacted the Muggle Prime Minister." Tonks said in surprise, "Just look at this paper."
She pulled a newspaper from her pouch and handed it to Harry, pointing him to one of the passages on the first page——....
Some members of the International Confederation of Wizards had criticized Fudge for not informing the Muggle Prime Minister of Blake's fugitive.
Fudge responded angrily and said, "Oh, I had to do this, don't you know? Blake is crazy. Anyone who encounters him will be in danger, whether you are a wizarding person or a Muggle!"
"I received assurances from the Muggle Prime Minister that he would not confide a word in anyone about Black's true identity. We can't deny the reality that if a Muggle Prime Minister reveals Blake's true identity, what Muggle who has never seen magic will believe him?"
Muggles were told that Blake was carrying a gun (a metal wand used by Muggles to kill each other), and that the wizarding community feared a repeat of the massacre of twelve years ago, when Blake killed thirteen people with a single spell.
……
Compared to the seriousness and formality of the official newspapers of the Muggle world, the content of the Daily Prophet is often as casual as this report, and even puts the comical quotations of Fudge, the Minister of Magic, untouched.
In comparison, the Daily Prophet has a status in the wizarding world like the Times of the Muggle world in Britain, but its content is like The Sun in the Muggle world.
Harry stared at Blake's blurred eyes in the newspaper, and on that sunken face, only those eyes seemed to have some remnants of life.
Harry thought of the pictures of vampires he had seen in Defence Against the Dark Arts textbooks, and Blake, with his waxy white skin, thought he looked like a vampire.
Of course, if Dracula had known about this dangerous idea, he might have dueled another day in the dueling club this semester
Four times......
"I didn't expect Sirius to look so scary now......" Tonks also glanced at the photo printed in the newspaper, his expression a little embarrassed, "I saw him several times when I was a child, and he was simply the most handsome wizard I ever met."
"You saw him as a kid?" Harry asked, surprised.
"I've not only seen it, but I've seen it many times!" Tonks said, "Oh, I forgot to introduce Sirius Blake, it's my mother's cousin."
Harry looked at Tonks' pretty cheeks, and then at Sirius Black's haggard, withered, sunken face in the newspaper, and couldn't really connect the two men, let alone believe that he was the most handsome wizard Tonks had ever said.
"Don't believe it, Sirius was a Hogwarts school boy before he entered Azkaban!" Tonks saw Harry's disapproval, and added, "I want to describe how handsome he is...... By the way, you should know Professor Dracula, right?"
She suddenly thought of the silver-haired man who had been on two sides in the Cairngorms mountains, on the islands of Azkaban.
"What does this have to do with Professor Dracula?" Harry looked at Tonks suspiciously.
"Sirius was a little worse than Professor Dracula when he was younger!" Tonks said in a very affirmative tone.
Unbeknownst to them, the big black dog on the side of the street raised its head proudly when he heard Tonks' comments about Sirius, and when Tonks mentioned Professor Dracula, a curious look appeared in his eyes. ….
"Wow, is that exaggerated?" The thought that Sirius could be as handsome as Professor Dracula made Harry almost feel a little crush on the wanted man.
What he didn't know was that the greater reason for this inexplicable goodwill was not because Sirius was once handsome, but because he had a strange familiarity with the face.
[Given the circumstances, "No, he's a murderer, he's killed thirteen people!" Harry shook his head and shook off the distractions in his mind, "He killed thirteen people with a single spell!"
"Yes, a spell," Tonks said, "in front of witnesses, in broad daylight, causing a lot of trouble for the Ministry of Magic."
At this, Tonks scratched his hair in confusion and changed his hair color back to his favorite pink, "It's strange that Sirius was the most supportive of the Mysteries in his later behavior."
"What? Voldemort?" Harry asked subconsciously.
"Shhh
"I'm sorry," Harry apologized immediately, "I'm sorry, I'm ...... I forgot ......."
"Well, now I really believe you're not afraid of the mystery man." Tonks rubbed his eyebrows helplessly.
"So...... So, Blake is a supporter of the Mysteries?" Harry asked, a little anxious.
"From the evidence available, this is indeed the case." Tonks said, her face still a little confused, "My mom didn't believe it, but she couldn't do anything about it when the evidence was conclusive."
"According to the information given by the Ministry of Magic, Sirius and the mysterious man are very close...... Anyway, when you were almost killed by the mysterious man—"
She subconsciously glanced at Harry's lightning-shaped scar that was hidden by the hair on his forehead, "All of the Mystery's supporters have been hunted down, and most of the Death Eaters know that since the Mystic has fled, they have lost ground with them, so most of the Death Eaters have been honest."
"But those led by Bellatrix Lestrange don't think so, they're die-hard followers of the Mysteries, and Sirius should be among them."
"One of my fellow Aurors told me that the Aurors had cornered Sirius on the streets, which were full of Muggles...... But he took out his wand and blew up half the street with a spell, a wizard and twelve
He killed a Muggle like that......
Tonks's voice lowered, as if he was feeling sorry for those who had died.
"The wizard's name is Peter Pedirul," she continued, "and he was posthumously awarded the Order of the Order of the Merlin, First Class."
"Sirius, on the other hand, has no remorse for the sins he has done, and laughs all the time...... Then he followed the Aurors without the slightest resistance, laughing all the way. His colleagues at the Ministry of Magic thought he was completely insane."
"It was a big deal at the time, and it took a lot of effort for the Muggle government to keep it under wraps." Tonks continued, "The whole street was bombed, all the Muggles were dead, and the explanation they gave was ......"
"I know this, the gas exploded." Harry picked up, "I finally know why there are so many gas explosions in the Muggle world now."
