Chapter 193: The Third Year Begins!

A burst of air burst rang out, breaking the silence of the neighborhood.

An extremely strange, scary face suddenly appeared in front of Harry and Tonks. Every inch of skin on his face seemed to be scarred, his mouth was like a large, crooked mouth, and the place where his nose should have been bulging was missing.

The most terrifying thing is the eyes on the face-

One eye is small, black, while the other is large, a vivid bright blue, and moves unblinking, up and down, left and right, completely unrelated to the normal eye.

Harry was startled and jumped backwards so hard that he almost fell again.

Luckily, Tonks reacted quickly and pulled him again, so that his head didn't make any close contact with the ground.

"Instructor Moody, didn't Director Scrimgeour tell you to go home and retire?" Tonks looked at the person and asked in some surprise, "Why did you come here in person this time?"

She always felt that it was just a matter of sending a portkey, and that she could just arrange for a small clerk to send it over, and there was no need to let the legendary Auror, who was about to retire from the Ministry of Magic, make a trip himself.

"It's not Fudge's coward, I'm afraid that something will happen to Harry Potter under Blake to delay his political future." Moody swore as his wooden legs cracked on the ground.

"Besides, I never planned to retire myself, but Scrimgeour and the other idiots always have no brains, and they think that I can't tell the difference between an ordinary handshake and a premeditated murder now, and they have to let me go back to retire!"

Scrimgeour and the wizards in the Auror Office were not mistaken, and after experiencing a lot of danger in his career, Moody had already become a little paranoid, even overly delusional.

He always prepares all the food and drink himself, and only drinks from the curved bottle he carries with him in case someone tries to poison him.

One year on April Fool's Day, a witch cheered Moody behind her, only to be overreacted by the sudden noise; Another time, Moody thought he had received a birthday present containing a cleverly disguised basilisk egg, and smashed it to pieces regardless of Thirty-Seven-Twenty-One, only to find out that it was a travel alarm clock......

However, Moody himself was unaware of his paranoia, and thought that Scrimgeour was too lax.

"I've taught them how many times, and they just don't know what it means to be 'always vigilant,'" He said loudly.

Moody aggressively handed an old teapot to Tonks, then turned to look at Harry, "You're Harry Potter, aren't you?" Boy, go back and let your professors teach your retinue to manifest, if you still don't know anything like today, you'll lose a lot of chances to escape."

[In view of the general environment, "Remember, always be vigilant!"] His expression was rather stern, and his hideous countenance, which was full of scars, scared Harry a lot.

Tonks didn't dare to say anything after taking the old teapot that had been made into a portkey, for fear of drawing the wrath of the legendary Auror out on him. ….

Harry and Tonks didn't notice that the big dog on the side of the street, when he saw Moody, looked rather anthropomorphic and became nervous, and moved to the side with very gentle movements, without making a sound.

But Moody's ever-spinning MONOCULUS spotted the trail of the big black dog from behind.

He drew his wand and unleashed a dazzling red light with lightning speed.

The big black dog was frightened, barked, and rolled on the ground very well, quite lucky to escape Moody's curse.

"Instructor Moody, stop, it's just a dog!" Tonks looked at Moody, who was overreacting again, and hurriedly stepped forward and grabbed one of his arms.

"What's wrong with the dog? A wizard who is proficient in transfiguration can transform himself into a dog temporarily!" Moody glared at Tonks and said, "What if that dog was Sirius Blake's pretend?"

Tonks couldn't convince his instructor and could only hold on to his arm, at the same time

I felt a little embarrassed.

Director Scrimgeour really didn't make a mistake in his judgment, Instructor Moody just had a mental problem, and he was able to mistake a dog for Sirius! She whispered to herself.

It wasn't until the big black dog finally escaped the street that Tonks finally let go of Moody's arm, fearing that he would accidentally hurt the innocent animal.

Harry was sweating on his forehead as he watched this. He was a little weak-hearted.

This resolute old Auror and a young Auror like Tonks don't seem to be the same style at all, if he was really arrested by the Ministry of Magic for casting spells outside the school, then let alone sneaking out to wander, I'm afraid that he would have been arrested by this old Auror before he even had a chance to run out of the street......

"Since you don't want to clean up the neighborhood, go straight back to the Ministry of Magic." Moody was a little upset and turned to educate Tonks, "Tonks, you also learned badly from Scrimgeour and let your guard down!"

"Have you forgotten what I taught you? Anything suspicious around you must be destroyed as soon as possible!" He said.

"Good...... I see, Instructor Moody." Tonks replied weakly.

She lifted the old teapot that Moody had given her and placed Harry's hand on the lid of the teapot, and Moody reached out and grabbed the mouth of the old teapot.

After a whirlwind, the three of them appeared together in a golden hall.

The floor of the hall is a polished dark wood floor. The peacock-blue ceiling is inlaid with glittering gold symbols, constantly moving and changing, like a giant bulletin board.

The walls on either side of the main hall are embedded with a number of gilded fireplaces: the one on the left is used to reach the Ministry, and the one on the right is used to leave the Ministry.

At this point, the fireplace on the left occasionally glows with a bright green flame, and then a member of the Ministry of Magic emerges from the fireplace.

Everyone who passed by looked at the famous Harry curiously, and was pleasantly surprised to stop over and talk. But when they saw Moody beside Harry, their faces immediately changed, and they walked towards the end of the foyer in fear of avoiding it. ….

"Hey, can this portkey teleport directly inside the Ministry of Magic?" Tonks looked around the golden hall and asked, somewhat surprised, "Isn't the Ministry of Magic not allowing the Portkey to enter?"

"Faguit's approved." Moody explained in a gruff voice, "That coward was afraid that Potter would have an accident on the road, so he made it new for the people in the Portkey Office."

Tonks nodded in realization.

Just then, a chubby, amiable-looking wizard approached from the end of the foyer in the distance.

He wore a pinstriped suit, a bright red tie, and a long black cloak, and laughed enthusiastically from a distance.

"Fudge is here. You two have to mess with him here, and I'll go first." Moody's face seemed a little unhappy when he saw the visitor, "Every time I see his chubby face, I get upset."

He stomped his wooden foot and turned into a fireplace on his right.

"You're here, Harry." Fudge ignored Moody's actions and ignored him, looking directly at Harry, "How did it feel to be at the Ministry of Magic for the first time?"

"Uh...... It's a good feeling, but the portkey makes people a little dizzy." Harry said truthfully.

He glanced up at the current Minister of Magic, still feeling a little unreal and flattered.

"Haha, there's always a process of adaptation to a portkey." Fudge laughed twice and reached out and patted Harry on the shoulder affectionately, "But with long-distance teleportation, the Portkey is more comfortable than Apparition."

As he got closer, Harry realized that the Minister of Magic, despite his smile, had some exhaustion and anxiety in his eyes.

Sirius' escape from prison did seem to be causing him a lot of trouble.

"Tonks, you've brought Harry here." It wasn't until this that Fudge realized that there was an Auror next to him

Only then did he remember to encourage her, "You can go about your business first, I have something to say to Harry alone."

Tonks nodded noncommittally, greeted Harry, and walked briskly to the row of magic stairs at the end of the foyer.

"All right, Harry," Fudge said to Harry after Tonks left, "I'm not afraid you know you've made us panic. Ran out of your aunt and uncle's house like this! I thought it was ...... But luckily you didn't have an accident, and Blake doesn't seem to be moving that fast."

He pressed Harry's shoulder, pulled him into a dedicated magic ladder, and pressed a button, "Now...... You'll be glad to hear how we solved Miss Maggie's unfortunate blow-up—"

"A few hours ago, two members of the Contingency Reversal Department were ordered to Privet Road. Miss Maggie recovered, and her memories were adjusted. She didn't remember anything about today. That's how it is, no harm was done." Fudge smiled kindly.

Even though he knew he wouldn't be expelled from Hogwarts again, Harry couldn't believe his ears when he heard the Minister of Magic tell him about it himself. ….

He opened his mouth to say something of thanks, but he couldn't think of what to say, so he had to keep his mouth shut.

"Ah, you're worried about your aunt and uncle's reaction, right?" "Well, I don't deny that they're extremely angry, Harry, but as long as you stay at Hogwarts for Christmas and Easter, they're ready to let you go back next summer."

Harry's throat was finally no longer choked.

"I'll spend Christmas and Easter at Hogwarts forever," he said, "and I don't want to go back to Privet Road."

"Oh, yes, when you're calmed down, I'm sure you won't think like that." Fudge said, in a worried tone. "They're your family, after all, I'm sure you'...... Well, deep down they love each other."

Harry didn't correct Fudge's opinion, but obediently followed him out of the staircase door and towards an elaborately decorated office.

"Then that's all that's left for now," Fudge pushed open the office door and motioned for Harry to sit on a couch against the wall, "where are you spending the remaining two weeks of vacation?" I suggest you stay at the Ministry of Magic, it's the safest place ever."

"Sirius Black, even if he is lawless, will not be able to infiltrate the most heavily defended Ministry of Magic."

"These two stars are looking forward to being in the Ministry of Magic, can't they go anywhere?" Harry asked.

"Of course, my child." Fudge took off his pinstriped suit jacket and black cloak, tossed them aside, and sat down across from Harry, "You need to know the situation, you're dangerous, I have to make sure you stay in a safe enough place."

"But isn't the safest place in the world Hogwarts?" Harry hesitated, feeling a little scary to spend two weeks in such a strange place without any acquaintances.

So he asked, "I think I can get back to Hogwarts early."

"Oh, Harry, Hogwarts is only known as the safest place because of Dumbledore." Harry's trust in Hogwarts made Fudge a little impatient, and he couldn't help but furrow, "Now that Dumbledore is not at Hogwarts, I naturally can't let you go back to this castle."

"Or I can go and ask Mr. Wesley to take me in." Harry hastily changed his mind.

"Don't be naïve, Harry." Fudge shook his head, "Sirius Black is an extremely dangerous Death Eater, and you don't want to put Weslai's family in danger, do you?"

Of course, Harry didn't know if the root cause of Fudge's refusal was because he didn't want to give Dumbledore's henchman, Arthur Weiss, too much credit to prevent him from continuing to rise in the Ministry of Magic.

Harry fell silent, silent.

"Well, it looks like you don't want to stay in the Ministry of Magic." Seeing that Harry's mood was a little sluggish, Fudge squeezed out a kind smile again, "In that case, I can find you a room in the Leaky Cauldron, only

I want you not to leave Diagon Alley for two weeks......

"With all entrances to Diagon Alley tightly guarded by the Ministry of Magic, and guarded by some elite Aurors, I'm sure you'll be safe enough at the Cauldron Bar!"

……

So, for the remaining two weeks of the summer, Harry was given unprecedented freedom at the Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley.

In the past, he could never sleep whenever he wanted, and eat whenever he wanted. Now he could even go anywhere he wanted, as long as it was in Diagon Alley, a long cobble-paved street lined with some of the world's most fascinating magical shops.

This freedom made him feel a little unfulfilled even when he boarded the Hogwarts Express on platform nine and three-quarters.

Finally, the train let out a whistle of "whine".

The third school year is about to begin!
