Chapter 8: The End of Dursley (2)
The car continued on to the outskirts of a large city, stopping in front of a dark, gloomy hotel. The hotel environment is very poor, the room does not shine in the sun, it looks dark and damp. There was also a pungent smell in the air, like the smell of disinfectant water.
The group will stay for one night, get up the next day, get ready to eat at the hotel and continue on the road.
At this time, the hostess of the inn came over
"Excuse me, do any of you have a gentleman named Harry Potter? There were about a hundred letters like this at the front desk. As she spoke, she took out one of them, and everyone saw the address written in green ink on it: Mr. Harry Potter, Room 17, Railroad View Hotel, Cokworth
Harry was a little surprised, and was about to reach for it
"I'll get the letter!" Vernon held Harry down, got up and walked out with the hostess.
The vehicle is back on the road
"Let's go home, my dear." Aunt Penny's timid voice broke the silence as she looked at her husband and said
But Vernon didn't seem to hear her at all. Silence returned to the car, and no one dared to say anything, not even Dudley.
After a long journey, the car reached the end of the road. A coast. Uncle Vernon got out of the car, locked it, and vanished.
The sky was windy and it was starting to rain.
Inside the car, Harry was thinking about how Ivey would bring him a gift tomorrow. Dudley was sobbing because he didn't have a TV to watch. Aunt Petunia looked out the window for her husband. Each of them has something on their minds.
After a while, Uncle Vernon returned, smiling and carrying a slender package in his hand.
"Honey, what are you holding in your hand?"
There was no answer
"The weather forecast says there's a storm tonight!" He was very excited, as if it was not rain but money.
"And a kind man is willing to lend us a shelter from the rain!" He pointed to a huge reef in the sea. There was a dilapidated house on the reef that creaked in the cold wind, and it felt like it was going to collapse at any moment.
"Really nice place"

It was close to midnight at 16 Bakers Street
Ivy had already prepared Harry's gift, placed it in a small box, and enclosed a letter to the "Round Cake".
The round cake is Ivey's owl, a Siberian eagle owl, less than 2 years old and about 83 centimeters long. Its ear feathers are long and prominent, clustered and stretching horizontally. The plumage is mostly yellowish-brown, with black spots and longitudinal stripes. The iris is golden yellow.
The round cake was a birthday present from Erin last year, and it looks quite cute, but it doesn't look very smart.
"Round cakes, this is a very important gift, you can't lose it!" The round cake twisted his neck, tilted his head and stared at his master with big eyes
"That's right! You should find Harry, I've let you see him, the owls of this world should be psychic! Ivy muttered to the round cake
The little one, probably annoyed by the chatter, flapped his wings twice and hit Ivey's hand.
"Hey! You guy, what kind of attitude! He slapped his round head twice.
"Go ahead, don't get lost, come back and give you something to eat" Ivey opened the window. Round cake glanced back at him, called out, turned and flew away.
Silently, Avemo picked up a wooden vertical button trumpet and played with it, not knowing what he was thinking.
On the table, obscured by a round cake, a letter was taken apart and laid out there:

In the middle of the night, Harry tossed and turned, and Dudley's snoring kept him awake. He glanced at Dudley's hand on the couch, his chubby wrist with his watch, and the glow-in-the-dark dial telling Harry that he would be eleven in ten minutes.
As the minutes ticked by, Harry was both expectant and worried. After all, he didn't know where he was, and he was worried if Ivey would find him.
Suddenly, Harry heard an inexplicable "quack" outside the house, and he looked at his watch
"There are still 5 minutes left, and hopefully it won't be the sound of the roof being blown off by the wind."
With three minutes left, the crunch seemed to be getting closer.
"One minute left, fifty secondsβ30 secondsβ10 seconds" As his birthday approached, Harry stared at the door as if someone was coming in.
"Boom!" I don't know if it was a knock or a slamming sound.
"Where to shoot the cannon!" Dudley was awakened and said in a daze.
"Boom! Boom" two times in a row. At this moment, there was also movement behind him, it was Uncle Vernon, who stumbled in with a double-barreled shotgun.
"Someone outside the door! - I warn you - I have a gun in my hand" Perhaps the warning worked, and the door became quiet.
"Click!" The door fell off the frame and slammed into the ground deafeningly.
In front of the door, a big man stood there. He is nearly three meters tall and nearly two meters wide, which looks like a wall from a distance.
His face was almost obscured by his long, unkempt hair and bushy beard tangled with each other, but his black beetle-like eyes could still be seen shining dark underneath his hair.
Without the barrier of the door, a raging storm swept in, adding to the already cold room. Harry couldn't even feel his feet anymore.
The giant hunched into the room, picked up the door with a "bang", easily sinked the door into the frame, and the sound of the storm subsided, and he turned to look at everyone.
"I want you to leave right away! Sir, this is private territory! Vernon said to the giant, holding up his gun
The giant walked over to him
"What are you doing! Don't come here β stand still! Vernon snapped
Ignoring his warning, the giant stood in front of him, using a manual version of the "Remove Your Weapon" - reaching out and bending the barrel of his gun
"Shut up! Dursley! You old scoundrel."
The giant turned to Dudley and said, "Last time I saw you, you were a baby, Harry"
"I didn't expect it to grow so big in a blink of an eye, especially here, it's bigger than I expected," said the giant, patting his stomach
"I-I'm not Harry," Dudley shuddered.
Harry stepped out
"I'm Harry, Harry Potter"
"Of course it's you, oh! I have one more thing" said, pulling out a squished box from behind him, "Anyway, I wish you a happy birthday Harry"
Harry opened the box. It was a pink cream cake with green syrup spelling it out: Happy birthday to Harry. There may be typos, but don't pay too much attention to it, after all, Hagrid didn't finish school.
At that moment there was a hissing sound outside the window, and a large owl flew in.
"These damn ββββ" Hagrid glared at Vernon and told him to swallow the rest of his words back.
The round cake flew up to Harry, poked out his right leg and handed him a gift box. Harry was pleasantly surprised to open the box, which contained a picture frame carved out of wood and a letter.
"Hey Harry, happy birthday! This is my gift for you. You may not know what it is right now, but that's okay β I promise you'll thank me when you know it, it's sure to be the best birthday present! β
"Also, do you remember what I said before? Good days are coming, Harry! Are you ready for a new life! The person who can answer what I promised to tell you has arrived. I won't say more in the letter, let's see you at Hogwarts. Bye ~ Harry"
Harry put down the envelope, which was a little too much for him to understand.
He picked up the frame. Three people are engraved on it:
The one in the middle was Harry, who was what he was now. On the left is a middle-aged man. Wearing glasses, her hair is messy and she doesn't look like she takes care of it often. Dressed in a striped sweater and bow tie, looking ahead and smiling, he bent slightly and put his hand on Harry's right shoulder.
On the right is a beautiful lady. She was dressed in a trench coat and had long shawl hair, and she looked at Harry, her hand stroking his hair, the corners of her mouth slightly curled. The three of them leaned on each other and formed a circle.
