When beasts die, their essence disappears from the environment and may be inefficiently reabsorbed by the world around them

This system has taken drastic action, using more than half of its essence to form a power system compatible with the beings on its planet, who are ignorant of the new fantasy and magic they are experiencing.

With the advent of the Attribute Panel, awakened people can now quantify and observe their powers, and most importantly, the key factor of being able to become stronger by taking the essence from the beasts they kill.

This system uses more than half of the essence to achieve this new ability system, in which the essence of the dying beast will be extracted, and the skills buried deep in the essence of the beast will be transformed into a source of power for hunters. Hence the emergence of skill books, items, and cores

Some of the beasts that came to be known as Titans and Bosses possessed denser essences, allowing skills and items to be extracted from them, while for others, only the core that enhanced the strength, vitality, and focus of the awakened individual could be extracted

This new system of power gives the world and its inhabitants a unique ability that probably does not exist anywhere else in the universe, allowing you to extract and absorb the power of your enemies.

After this, the system goes into hibernation to regain its essence, and its hunters slowly contribute by clearing the beasts and dungeons from which they came.

The dungeon is a link sent by our enemies. These connections carry with them the origins of many inhabitants from another world. They were sent to Earth and settled as monoliths, which took time to allow physical entry for the Beings on the connecting lines.

Depending on how many essences are used in the dungeon, the release rate may be accelerated.

But if one comes into contact with the monolith and is able to defeat the origin of the creatures in it, the essence of the monolith will be used up and the release will be delayed.

Enemies who send these dungeons down will have to continue to provide essences to these dungeons to replenish the origin of the creatures inside. This process is repeated over and over again in the months following the end of the world

Hunters will repeatedly enter the dungeon and clear them, consuming more and more essence and taking it for themselves. The other side will continue to transmit the essence downwards to strengthen and maintain the origins of those beings who have slowly lost their sanity and rationality due to being destroyed and rebuilt many times.

And then there's the reason I've always wanted to know. If a dungeon is cleared quickly enough that the influx of essences from the invaders cannot keep up with how much essence is absorbed, the connecting wires will be broken, and the beings inside will die completely.

For example, the race of beasts has grown stronger over the years by accumulating and growing its essence and learning how to forge complex skills and abilities. If the essence of their world is taken away by others and used for their own use, their power will stagnate

Their strength, as well as the many veteran hunters around the world, will certainly rise to the S-rank in the coming months and give them the ability to withstand the many things that are to come

When I was brought into an old office that made me nostalgic, I tried to pay for the Hunters, and they definitely had something better to do. It wasn't the stout man with a blank face, but a woman in military uniform flipping through piles of papers

The person in front of me was naturally Elizabeth, who tried to honor her friend and manage the logistics of Star City while still playing the role of an active hunter. Now she spends most of her time between office work and dungeon diving, and has no time for anything else.

I observed for a few more minutes, and then I left, flying higher to get a better view of everything around me. The higher I flew, the more dangerous and cold the wind became, and even though many of my defensive skills and attributes were already S level, it almost chilled me

When I stood up from a high enough distance, I looked down and I saw more land that seemed to be floating in the air. In the distance, there is a large group of landmasses approaching each other, with obvious connecting lines in between

A flickering light can be seen in these lands, because in fact there are magnificent buildings on the land below them, which are surrounded by a vast walled fortress.

The fort is a work of art as it winds around the big hill where these buildings are located. Three great mountains surround the Great Kingdom on the ground, and more than four vast landmasses float around it

I was amazed by the sheer size of the place as I could only see part of it. That's where the system shows that I'm going to start my journey. This is the only place where humanity has supremacy in this world, and this is the Frozen Kingdom.

I continued to fly lower through the windswept snow and approached a door at the entrance to the massive walls of this heavily guarded kingdom.

I didn't get too close before I felt movement from the top of the wall. Many white winged beasts flew up and met me in the sky. Above them, figures in gleaming white armor stood there, pointing sharp weapons at me

"Wait a minute!"

Each winged beast had multiple figures on its body, many of which were emitting energy similar to level 1 or lower, and I could feel that at least three of them appeared to be S-class. I did as they asked, and suddenly stopped in the air, as I expected, this welcome

I've spent too much time being taught by this system that it has one of the few sparse memories it has gained from absorbed beasts, and I know how to act when I approach any kingdom in this world.

I was silent, we were all floating in the air, the humans on the winged beasts scrutinizing me as time passed. Over the next few minutes, I did a thorough assessment and several lights fell on me. Once they confirmed my stature and used a specific skill that would most likely check if I had any dangerous demon or beast aura, they lowered the sharp spear they were pointing at me.

Many of the people I met seemed to be F- or E-class awakened people, as they unleashed their feeble powers, while most of them remained ordinary people. But the number of people who are considered awakened is definitely more than you would normally see in the Empire or the United Federation

I continued to walk around, taking in new views as I walked inside. In the heart of this entrance town, there is a building that stands out among the many buildings that surround it. It has a striking set of words affixed to its front, which is [Mercenary's Hideout]

As I opened the wide door and entered the noisy building, I seemed to have found a place to begin my journey in this world. It's a busy scene when people are coming in and out

There's an area with seating and tables where people eat and talk, and there's an area that looks like a place where staff stand behind the counter and do their business

I listened and observed everything around me, and the conversation was quite interesting

Hey, hey, how can you drink so comfortably when the demons gather their power to kill us all, huh!

You're so worried! The Ice Kingdom has never fallen in the millennium since its birth, do you think some ugly mug will swoop down to do it in a few years?

Ugly mugs? You obviously never fought with them, they were ruthless and fought at all costs. Trash like you won't stand a chance at all!
