Chapter 288: Revisiting the Old Place
"Look at your parents' tombstones, Harry, and I'll take you to where they lived. Blake whispered, leading the way to the cemetery.
There was a narrow door at the entrance to the cemetery, and Blake gently pushed it open, and several people slipped inside. The path leading to the entrance of the church was slippery, and they made their way through the snow that had not yet piled up, carefully following the shadows under the bright windows to the back of the house, leaving shallow grooves behind them.
Rows of tombstones stand on the snow-covered ground, punctuated by the dark brown, dazzling reds, golds, and greens of the soil, a projection of the church's stained glass on the ground.
"Over there, Harry. Blake's voice was softer, as if he was afraid to disturb the souls of the dead.
The tombstones of the Potters are made of white marble, and the text is easier to read because they glitter in the dark. They didn't even have to get very close to see the inscription on it.
On the left is:

Born January 30, 1960 and died October 31, 1981
On the right is:
βββββββ Lily Porterββββββββ
Born March 27, 1960 and died October 31, 1981
The bottom is:
-- The last enemy to be eliminated is death --
Harry read the words slowly, as if he had only one chance to read them, and he read the last line.
"'The last enemy to be destroyed is death,'......" Harry's tone sounded a little alarmed, "Isn't that what the Death Eaters thought?
"It's not the Death Eaters' way of defeating death, Harry," Hermione said softly, "it refers to...... You know...... Life surpasses death, even though death is still alive. β
"Hermione is right, Harry, the Death Eaters want to defeat it by getting rid of death, and they will never win. And we can choose to face death squarely to overcome him. Loha said pointedly. Harry, as a Horcrux, will have to face death sooner or later. Because of him, Harry has suffered less and less maturely than the original story, and it's time to instill in him a little bit of that.
Lockhart looked back at the tombstone, and he had a lot of respect for the Potters and their seniors, who had nothing to do with each other when they were at Hogwarts together, and who had barely seen each other a few times after graduation. They should be the first members of the Order of the Phoenix, and they can be regarded as their own revolutionary martyrs.
"Jaime has done a lot of stupid things in his life, and the biggest mistake was turning down Dumbledore's offer to be their secret keeper. Jaime choked up. "He thought it would be an insult to a friend to have an elder a confidential person when he had a friend, and I tried to persuade him, but he insisted that I be a confidential personβ"
Remorse came to his heart at once, and he couldn't go on. "Then I recommended that fellow Peter be a secrecyman, for his Animagus is a rare rat and easily evades dangerβ" He sobbed, "Who would have thought that a friend of the last ten years...... It's so unreliable, and it sold Jaime in a blink of an eye......"
"It's all over, Siris. Lockhart reassured. "It'sβ" He wanted to say it was fate, but he didn't think it was right. "Harry, don't blame him, Cyrith didn't mean to......"
"I didn't blame him. Harry said stiffly. Of course, it is false to say that he has no idea, but what else can he do, Blake is his last relative. "It's all Snape's fault, if he hadn't told the mystery man the prophecy......"
"There is no point in complaining and chasing about the past. It is wrong for a secret man not to choose a strong and reliable person from the beginning, and even if you become a secret person, you will be chased by a mysterious person. If you're lucky. You escaped, but the mystery man would never be killed by Harry as prophesied, and the war would last for a long time. Albert said, "If you're unlucky enough to be caught, forced to ask or the Dementor to recite the location of the Loyalty Charm, then today Harry has come to see the tombstones of you and his parents." β
"Don't talk about it, let's leave, it's too suspicious to come to the cemetery at night. "The controversy is worthless, and no matter what you say, it doesn't change the fact that the decomposing bodies of the Potters are lying beneath the snow and stones. Death is never just the misfortune of the dead, but more of the suffering and pain of the living. Blake wiped away his tears, "There are still a few big people's tombs over there, but you don't need to look at them." β
ββ
A bird flew up from a pine tree next to the cemetery, and Lockhart instantly drew his wand, and a flash of blue light knocked it down.
"Oh my God, you're so fast!" Albert Terrence was startled by Lockhart's wand and shot down the bird in one go, "what are you doing hitting that bird?" β
"You haven't seen Mad Eye Moody's speed. Lockhart put away his wand, "I thought the bird was a Death Eater spy, I was too nervous." β
"Alright, let's go......" Blake glanced at the bird's corpse and pushed the group away.
Hermione raised her wand and drew a circle in the air, and a bouquet of white chrysanthemums appeared in the air, which she reached out to catch and placed on the grave of Harry's parents.
"Don't do that. Lockhart frowned, giving the bouquet a concealment charm, "Don't risk leaving any clues related to our tracks at this time. β
"Oh. Hermione whispered.
ββ
The snow was getting heavier and heavier, and a few people walked towards the exit of the cemetery on the way to the cemetery, and two rows away from the tombstones of Harry's parents, they saw the tombstones of the important people that Black said.
On a moss-mottled granite on the ground is Candela Dumbledore, born and died with her daughter Ariana. There is also an adage:
Where the treasure is, so is the heart
"Who are Candela and Ariana?" Harry asked curiously, he didn't know anyone with the surname Dumbledore except for the Headmaster, "What does that mean?"
"One is Dumbledore's mother, and the other I don't know, it's the Headmaster's family anyway, get out of here. Blake urged him.
A few men pushed open the narrow door and re-entered the slippery stone path, back into the small square of the village, where someone was staggering out of the tavern drunk.
"Cyreth, where Bathilda Bassat lives, you should know. β
"Well, follow me. "We should stop by the last time the Mystic Man failed to kill Harry, which is the home where he was born." β
They took to a dark street. It leads to the outside of the village, the opposite of the way they came in. They walked quickly, trying to pass the Muggles' illuminated windows as quickly as possible, and a figure appeared behind the curtains.
"Would the mysterious man really hide Horcruxes in Harry's original house?" Albert couldn't believe it, "All I know about Horcruxes is what Mr. Scrimgeour said to me for a few minutes that day, why didn't he hide it next to him?"
"He has Nagini by his side, a snake, if he takes another one by his side, it will not play the role of insuring himself, and there is no need to make so many Horcruxes. "As for where his other Horcrux would be hidden, it could be anywhere in the world, first of course, where he's been." β
"Oh my God, where to find this, unless he puts things in the most obvious place like in that treasure hunt novel, and sets up a mechanism for you to break into, what if he throws it into the wild?"
"It seems that there is no solution, but there should be some way, such as powerful detection magic, or prophecy or something that can deal with it, but it seems to be very troublesome, and it also requires a lot of magic, I don't know anyway, there are few wizards in the world who have this kind of technology. β
ββ
After a little more discussion about the possible whereabouts of the Horcrux, they saw the house at Blake's point of viewβthe hedges were a mess, and the rubble was buried waist-deep in the grass. Most of the house was still there, completely covered in dark ivy and snow, but the right side of the top room had been blown up, and that was probably where the spell bounced back.
"Why hasn't anyone rebuilt it?" Hermione whispered.
"It's troublesome to rebuild, the damage of powerful black magic to items is very thorough, and there is no need to rebuild. Lockhart replied, "Maybe people at the time thought the house should be kept as a memorial?"
Harry took off his invisibility cloak completely, grabbed the rusty iron door with one hand, and pushed it hard, and with a crisp cracking sound, the iron door fell.
