Chapter 287: Godric's Valley
After three days in bed, Lockhart got out of bed, and it felt good to be a patient, and he had more to do.
He sat at the table in the tent, where Scrimgeur's group had protected Lockhart for three days, and there were now nine people at the table.
"It's good that you can get out of bed, and we'll split up after this meal. Scrimgeour said, "In the last two days, Minister Fudge has issued some tough policies against Muggles under his control, plus the previous bill that he enacted to make intermarriage with Muggles illegal." Now that he has done all the things that the two ministers of Damocles and Perseus Parkinson have tried, and there is no suspense that he has aroused strong condemnation from the International Federation of Wizards, the next step is probably to really start resisting the "Secrecy Act", and his use is no longer useful. β
"Are the Death Eaters going to kill him?" Hermione said worriedly.
"Not really, the two ministers I just mentioned were ousted by public opinion because of their own policies, and Fudge will probably be "ousted" from office because of his own policies, and then he will be replaced by a Death Eater as minister. "Doing so is draining him of use, so that the next minister can continue to resist secrecy laws β and if wizards from other countries decide to intervene, let him go, and if they don't intervene, continue to ......."
"It's not brilliant, but it's practical. "But once the Secrecy Act is really repealed, other countries will intervene even if they do it." β
"If only it had been before, but in recent years as Muggle living conditions have improved...... You know, wizards in many countries in Europe are starting to get red, and anti-Muggle sentiment is starting to rise again. Scrimgeour said, "Even if there were wizards from other countries to intervene, if no one could defeat the mysterious man, it would be in vain, but it would only fuel his arrogance." β
"Maybe you can send someone abroad to ask for help or something......," Lockhart began, "By the way, this Horcrux can be destroyed abroad, and it is absolutely impossible for the mysterious person to apparition abroad." β
"Good idea. But now that the airport, port and Channel Tunnel are tightly controlled, it is difficult to get out. But this idea is okay, if we collect two Horcruxes, we will arrange a breakout operation to go abroad, and go to the ends of the earth to destroy the Horcreats. β
"Hmm. β
"Don't think about it yet, don't risk the crown alone. β
"If you need to go abroad, the U.S. is a great place to be. "The U.S. Department of Magic has a very poor infrastructure, not even a network of Floo Paths, and the presence of wizards would cause great social instability if they were exposed." Both the Muggle government in the United States and the Ministry of Magic are staunch supporters of the International Wizarding Secrecy Act. β
"Let's talk about it then, first unite the forces in the country that still want to resist the Death Eaters. Albert, who are you with?" Scrimgeour asked him kindly.
"I'm in Hermione's group, with the Savior and Mr. Lockhart. Albert said that his words provoked Loha to give him a special look, and it had only been a few days before he called Hermione's Christian name, which was quite familiar.
"Okay, then it's decided, be careful. Look out for me on Gildero. Scrimgeour said, glancing at Lockhart.

After this meal, people other than Lockhart helped tear down the tent and prepared to break up.
"Take care, we'll be away and phantasm. "Kingsley was always emotional. His deep voice can bring a sense of security to many people.
"Take care. β
Here the group broke up and went in different directions. Lockhart, as a wounded, was the most relaxed, except for his own two wands. Everything was taken by Harry and Blake.
"Where to go now, Harry, you name it. Lockhart and the others walked silently for a while. I feel like I can apparition.
"I'd like to go back to Godric's Hollow, see where my parents died, and visit the wizards who lived there. Harry said, "I think the Mystery Man may have hidden the Horcruxes there, after all, it was a place that meant a lot to him, and it was here that he faced death for the first time." β
"He's going to set up an ambush there. Hermione said uneasily. "It's anyone's guess that you're probably going to go back and see. β
"I think he's going to be scared of it and he's afraid to go over on his own. Albert said his thoughts, "But I can't rule out the possibility that the Death Eaters will be there." β
"The Horcruxes won't be there, let's go somewhere else. Lockhart affirmed.
"How do you know the Horcruxes won't be there, Dumbledore hasn't searched that place!" Harry said excitedly, "maybe it's because everyone thinks it's impossible to be in this place, Godric's Valley has become a blind spot, and he's hiding there!"
"Okay, okay, why are you so excited, is it the Horcrux by your side?" Lockhart said, "remember to talk about it when you hold the Horcrux." β
"Oh-"
"But I think he has a point, and all possible places should be searched," said Albert, "and it's better than a blind search, and isn't Godric's Hollow home to a number of wizards, and is there anything any one of them can do with the Horcruxes?"
"Okay, that makes sense, let's go check it out. Lockhart thought about it, and felt that it made sense, he shouldn't be limited by the original plot, and he could also visit Lady Bathilda Bassat this time, with her experience no less than Dumbledore's, maybe she had some idea of dealing with Horcruxes.
"So, let's go. Lohartra grabbed Hermione's hand, Hermione grabbed the others, and the five of them began to apparition together.
They apparitioned to a few miles away from Godric's Hollow, and Hermione insisted on making sure she was as disguised as possible before she could go, but the Polyjuice Potion had already been used up by Lockhart and Black when they went shopping in Diagon Alley not long ago, so it was decided that Harry should put on the invisibility cloak, Black would become a black dog, and Lockhart and Hermione would wear masks, and only Albert would not need to disguise.
In addition to this, they set up their tents in the place where the apparitions appeared, and after dinner at dusk, they entered the small village. This village in the southwest of England called the High Jacket Valley is one of the most famous semi-magical settlements in the world, where many magical families have lived for generations, sometimes helping nearby Muggles. This is the birthplace of Godric Gryffindor, where the magician Brown Wright forged the first Golden Snitch. Here, the first Dark Wizard in history was killed for the first time by the prophesied savior......
It's Christmas in two weeks, and there's snowflakes in the sky. Some of the houses stand on the sides of narrow alleys, and only the lights in the windows illuminate the path ahead. Not far ahead, golden street lamps indicate that it is the center of the village.
"It's dark. Hermione felt that she had miscalculated, if someone had scrutinized, Lockhart and Hermione in masks would not have been able to hide it, and if they hadn't scrutinized, they wouldn't have been able to see anything at all.
Blake couldn't help but turn into a human form either.
"We should learn to transform into Animagus when we have time, but it's too late now, it's dangerous and time-consuming, and only a quarter of the Aurors can learn it. Lockhart said.
"To be on the safe side, Harry should wear the Cloak of Invisibility. Albert said. "His features are too obvious. β
The cold air pricked their cheeks like needles, and they passed more houses along the way: it was a peaceful and calm village, where it was impossible to see that Voldemort, who had swept through the British Ministry of Magic more than ten years earlier, had died here, and the five men turned left along the alley, and the center of the village, a small square, appeared before them.
There is a war monument-like building in the center of the square, and along the square are several shops, a post office, a bar, and a chapel, and the painted glass radiates a jewel-like glow across the square.
There weren't many people in the square, but there were snippets of laughter and pop music when the bar doors opened, and carols could be heard in the chapel.
"This is a monument to Harry's parents. Blake said. "There's a cemetery behind the chapel, and you haven't seen your own parents' tombstones yet, Harry, have you? β
Harry shuddered, not just excitement, but more fear. Hermione pulled Lockhart over to the tombstone and looked at it.
"Is this Harry's family, it looks reallyβ" She didn't say any more, pointing to the monument with the Muggle Confusion Charm and the Phantom Charm, which changed as they walked by, no longer an obelisk with names engraved on it, but a statue of three people: a man with unkempt hair and glasses, a woman with long hair and a beautiful and kind face, and a baby boy sitting in his mother's arms. Snowflakes fell on the top of the three of them like fluffy white velvet hats.
Not to mention them, even Harry saw them for the first time.
"There are wizards in the surrounding houses, but I don't know if they are sent by the mysterious people to keep an eye on them. "It's better not to look at this monument here, as it could attract the attention of possible monitors"
