Chapter 166: Rainy Season
On the last day of the Easter holidays, it rained and Calvin and Mrs. Longbottom returned to St. Mungo's Hospital.
"Professor Capet, Minerva wrote to me that Neville's talent seems to have been enlightened, whether it is Transfiguration or Charms, it is no worse than the best young wizards, and even his memory has improved." Mrs. Longbottom asked incredulously, "Did you cure him?"
Calvin looked back and smiled, "Sort of, I just stimulated his soul's ability to heal itself. Neville is so good because of his own talent. By the way, the deep imprint left on him in the previous eleven years has tempered his character, which will be very helpful for his future growth."
"But, but," Mrs. Longbottom, clutching her large red tote bag, "I remember you said you wouldn't cure Neville until Frank and Alice recovered."
"It's just a small problem, and I've found a way to do it again." Calvin came to the glass of the Dip department store and said to a dummy through the window, "I'm here to visit Frank Longbottom and Alice Longbottom."
As last time, the dummy waved at the two of them, and Calvin and Mrs. Longbottom stepped through the glass window and entered St. Mungo's Hospital.
This time, Calvin didn't look around the hall, but went straight up to the fifth floor and entered the Longbottoms' hospital room.
When Calvin came in, he didn't go directly to see the Longbottoms, but hung a painting on the door.
"What is this for?" Mrs. Longbottom was puzzled.
Calvin patiently answered the old lady's doubts, "Prevent anyone from entering this ward while I am being treated, strictly speaking, I am not qualified to treat your son and daughter-in-law."
Mrs. Longbottom nodded, then straightened her back and walked to Frank and Alice's hospital bed.
"Kids, mom has come to see you." The old lady opened the curtains, and the naked eye could see that the old lady's waist was bent down.
The two patients had not changed much from the last time they had met, and the years had left a deep enough mark on their faces.
Calvin took out two pairs of Thestrals, and handed one of them to Mrs. Longbottom, "Then let's get started, starting with ...... Let's start Frank."
Calvin takes the old lady and her son into the world of painting. Calvin uses a Transfiguration Charm to turn Frank into a young boy and begins to manipulate Frank to make him relive his life.
"Oh, I almost forgot about that." Calvin slapped his head and summoned his giant patronus, ordering him to transform into a silver-white raccoon and accompany Frank.
Later, Calvin and Mrs. Longbottom hid in a corner and watched Frank relive the first half of his life.
"Does it work?" Mrs. Longbottom didn't even care about Calvin's giant patronus and asked worriedly.
"Of course it works, but the biggest factor besides my treatment is how strong his will is." Calvin said as he took off his Thestrals.
"That's great," Mrs. Longbottom breathed a sigh of relief, "this kid has been stubborn since he was a child." ….
Five hours after the time in the painting has passed, Calvin ends his treatment of Frank and pulls Alice into the painting again.
After both of their treatments were over, Calvin left the world in a dazed state, sat on an empty hospital bed with his hands on the railing, and took a bottle of potion out of his sleeve and drank it.
"Professor Capet, how is it, can the two of them be cured?" Mrs. Longbottom asked expectantly, hoping to get good news from him.
Calvin slowed down, took a few deep breaths, and then replied, "It's no problem, it's just that it takes a long time to be treated, and I can only come here once a week for two hours."
Mrs. Longbottom wanted to ask a few more questions, but looking at Calvin's tired look, she still didn't ask.
The rest of the year was a long and uneventful affair, with no Voldemort making trouble and no Salem Organizing to stop it. Calvin was busy researching Fantastic Beasts and attending classes. Students are starting to prepare for exams, and individual students are still practicing
Quidditch.
Sirius continued to search for Peter's whereabouts in England, as Calvin had not told him that Voldemort and he had left England.
Dumbledore began to look for a new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor for the next semester, though he still wanted Sirius to take the position.
Lucius's Occlumency was at the level of entry, and he was still waiting for Voldemort's next instructions.
Nicol Lemay had returned to France, bequeathed all his fortune to his best students, and began to prepare for his old age, quietly waiting for death.
The Origin Fantastic Beasts Sanctuary has become more and more famous, and many foreign tourists will come to visit it, and Newt Scamander has recruited a group of people to cope with the upcoming summer vacation season.
"So here, our last class is over," Calvin patted the chalk dust off his hand and looked at the group of low-spirited fifth-graders below, "Do you guys have any questions?"
Not a single person below raised their hands, and even Percy and Penelope, who had always been regarded as exemplars, were nervously flipping through their books.
"Okay," Calvin was a little disappointed, "it seems that everyone is still a little nervous about the upcoming wizard level exams."
"I can assure you that the wizard level exam will never be more difficult than the mock questions I usually give you. The practical questions will not be more difficult than they would be in protected areas." Calvin cheered up the nervous little wizards.
At this time, Percy raised his hand, "Professor Capet, before the wizard level exam, if you have any questions, can I go to you?"
"Of course, kids, you're more than welcome to come to me and ask questions." Calvin said.
"Professor, can you give me a detailed description of the exam process?" A Hufflepuff wizard asked, and it was obvious that he was nervous.
"Well," Calvin crossed his hands, "you should know that I didn't take the British magic exam, but my friends at the Ministry of Magic told me something."
As soon as they heard the inside news of the Ministry of Magic, everyone came to their senses.
"First of all, I can be sure that this year's written and practical assessment will still be based on the syllabus of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is a good thing for us. To put it mildly, Mr. Scamander's writings are outdated, and you should easily get high marks."
"As for the practical assessment, I suggest you review the chapter on the assassin a little more." Calvin winked at the young wizard below, then picked up the book and left the classroom.
The rain continued, and a month passed like this, and the final exams were gradually approaching.
