Chapter 19: Fantastic Beasts Periodic Table

After two months, Calvin stood back on the podium and looked at the group of young wizards sitting below, with their enthusiastic eyes and empty heads, which filled Calvin on the podium with a sense of accomplishment.

"Kids, welcome back to Professor Capet's Fantastic Beasts class," Calvin reclined on the podium, a piece of chalk tossed in his hand, "In third grade, you've gotten to know a lot of Fantastic Beasts with me, and hopefully you've not forgotten them all after a summer vacation."

Calvin's gaze swept over the young wizard's eyes, and many children avoided Calvin's scrutinizing gaze in fear, and only a few honor students stared at Calvin confidently.

Of course, there were also the Wesley, who didn't care, and the Wesley twins grinned in response to Calvin's gaze.

Calvin's gaze finally rested on the tall girl at the end of the classroom. Yes, Bassida also sat in the classroom, quietly listening to Calvin's lectures.

"As you may have noticed, the biggest change in this course this year is that we have changed the textbook." Calvin shook the book on the podium, "After the June exams, Mr. Scamander and I both decided that it was time to write a textbook adapted to the new era, which is the Magical Animals and Magic - British Chapter."

"Isn't the biggest change the one being that there is a beautiful girl sitting behind the teacher?" One of the twins squeezed Calvin's eyes narrowly, and he was replied with a piece of chalk that had smashed into his forehead.

Calvin didn't want to pay attention to the overexcited Wesley twins, and simply ignored their exaggerated exclamation, "Turn the book to page three, unicorn chapter."

The little wizards below can't help but be a little strange, isn't the unicorn the content of the first lesson of their third grade? Professor Capet can't be mistaken.

Collins Foley of Slytherin was the first to raise her hand, and Calvin called her name, "What's the problem? Miss Foley."

"Uh, Professor, we're in the fourth grade, are you mistaken?" Representative asks boldly.

Calvin quickly scanned the entire classroom and noticed that all but Cedric Diggory had a puzzled expression.

"The unicorns I'm going to tell you about today are not just unicorns." Calvin placed the Eucalyptus on the podium and dotted the middle paintings with his wand, and soon they floated up from the book and into the air.

In the first picture, all the students recognized, it resembled a slender white horse with a spiral horn in front of its forehead, which was the well-known unicorn. It looks like it gives people a sense of calm and peace.

The latter drawings are not as modest as the first. For example, in the second picture, there is a very vicious animal, with the limbs of an elephant, the tail of a lion, and the upper body of a goat, with a black spiral horn on its head.

The third picture shows another creature with a single horn, a white body, a purple head, blue eyes, and a straight, hard horn.

It wasn't until the fourth picture that the little wizards felt less scared, and the unicorn in the picture looked similar to the unicorn in England, except for the red mane.

"These four animals are unicorns. Do you dare to say you know enough about unicorns?" Calvin smirked at the surprised little wizards below, "So who knows the names of these magical creatures?" ….

Good student Cedric did not disappoint Calvin and raised his arms high. In fact, he was the first reader of the new edition of the textbook.

"Mr. Diggory, tell me about it." Calvin called his name.

"The first one is the unicorn that we learned about last year, which is widely distributed in the forests of Western Europe, and the United Kingdom is also one of the origins."

"The second is also called a unicorn, but it is mainly found in southern Europe, and it first appeared in the records of the ancient Roman naturalist Pris, as a fierce beast."

"The third picture is a unicorn in the Middle East and South Asia, named Kalkadan, which means King of the Desert."

"What is the unicorn on the last picture called? Shu is a unicorn in the Far East."

"That's great," Calvin clapped Cedric, "Hufflepuff plus ten."

Cedric knew this

It's all because Calvin taught him a lot of extracurricular content when he was working in the summer, so Calvin only added ten points to Cedric.

Calvin waved his wand, and the four drawings gradually shrunk, until finally only the names of the four unicorns remained, and under Calvin's command, they flew to the blackboard and arranged them in order from top to bottom.

"The main content of this semester is to learn about some similar, but not identical, magical beasts, which I call 'clans.'" Calvin looked at the little wizard in the audience with a smile.

As Calvin smiled kindly, more and more small cards appeared on the blackboard, phoenixes, ptarmigans, and birds were arranged into a family, different types of fire dragons were also arranged into a family, and many magical animals that the little wizards had learned last semester appeared on this table.

The little wizards looked at the increasing number of magical animal names, and couldn't help but think back to the experience of studying last year, and they couldn't help but be a little afraid.

"I see you're all scared," Calvin's expression suddenly became serious, "If you follow me seriously, this table will not only not be a burden to you, but will be the best help for you in learning magical beasts."

Calvin tapped his wand on the blackboard behind him, and immediately after, all the students' textbooks rattled and automatically turned to the last blank page of the textbook. The little wizards noticed that on the blank page, the exact same table that had just appeared on the blackboard slowly emerged.

"Next, turn to page three, and we'll learn about the unicorns." Calvin pulled out three scrolls from his sleeve and hung them on the blackboard, "Next, you're going to analyze the magic circuits of the other three unicorns, and compare them to the unicorn magic circuits."

"Please remember that comparison, difference and similarity are the themes of our study this year."

Calvin pulled out two more crystals from his sleeve, which made Fred and George's eyes light up instantly.

"The best performers in this class will be able to get from me a pair of communication crystals that I have carefully crafted, so that you and your best friend can talk at any time."

Many students were excited, although they also had some inferior communication bookmarks, but this was a communication device made by the alchemy master, how could they not be impressed?

"Let's get started, then." Calvin waved his wand, and the fantastic beasts in the drawing stepped out of the drawing paper and wandered the hallways of the classroom.
